How can I get Sixaxis to work on my device using Final-Fixed? I read that if I was using CM7 or an MIUI it might work, but can I maybe just use the bluetooth apk from those roms in my rom?
Flash CM7 from the Dec thread. I got it to work using bluepoint droid from the market after i agent to CM7.

I really like the ROM that I'm on though. What is the difference between VB and CM7? Could I not just take the bluetooth files from the rom, and push it into mine?
And what is bluepoint droid, I can't find it?

^^^^ Makes my phone reboot every time I try to install it. I'm trying to give my phone the bluetooth set up it needs for sixaxis
Suppose I go to CM7 for the sake of having Sixaxis. What are some of the biggest differences I would notice?

Just so you know, I just tried now that I'm home from work. No dice.
I pushed libbluetooth.so, libbluetoothd.so, and blootoothd from /bin, from CM7, to my rom. ... No dice... I was advised not to push the .apk
Hmm, there's a high chance it didn't work 'cause of the kernel. The kernel has no support for the bluetooth library files you pushed since they'll work fine on the mtd kernel. I guess this would need a kernel rebuild.

Now we're getting somewhere! Actually learning something.
Ok, so... Do you know of a kernel that will work on my BML ROM that would have the correct drivers for the bluetooth functionality I need? I don't know a thing about building a kernel of my own. Sorry
I guess I may have to switch over to CM7 if I really want to use this function. The loss of OC/UV support, I'll definately miss.
I'll donate a 20 to anyone who can make a CWM flashable to get the functionality I need. If it's even possible. If not, I guess tomorrow I'll be seeing what CM7 is all about.

"Different hardware" is not the whole story. Look at LinuxBozo's Galaxy ROM Hellraiser Beta9. A user managed to flash Samsung based Captivate/Vibrant ROMs (obviously, you've got to "make sure it's Samsung Gingerbread based" {-LinxBozo}).

Much of the ui can be ported. But I don't know if using the whole rom while adding infuse libs has been tried or is likely to work. I think there are just too many differences. But if you feel motivated then try it. Start pulling in libs and bins from infuse roms and make sure you have the unbrick package ready. But remember to use an infuse kernel and modem.

I actually want to try it someday. The only problem is that I'm still not too savvy on this, so I don't know anything about pushing libs and bins and everything else. Flashing the kernel and modem, I have no problem with. It's the other files I have to get together... Oh well.

Hmm... Interesting. I tried SensatioN with Hellraiser yesterday, and I had some info on the "about phone" section (don't remember if I had it all), and that modem and tweak setup, I'm gonna have to give it a try. I'm currently in stock because, yesterday, I was feeling defiant and tried to flash a JVS ROM from the i9000 forum with Hellraiser, as opposed to a JVQ, and ended up in an eternal bootloop. I was a bit tired so I just returned to stock and went to sleep. I'm gonna see if I give it a second try today in the afternoon. And also, I don't know why, my SensatioN was lagging a bit. I should've rebooted my phone a couple of times (instead of immediately making a call after rebooting the first time) to create some stability. I might give it a second try later today. I'll let you know how it goes. (I'm feeling sooo defiant this week. I WANT to make a JVS/JVR ROM work. All the JVQ ROMs I found, weren't very appealing, or were left in the dust by the devs.) lol
I had the same problem so went to the i9000 sensation and no problems worked beautifully very nice rom
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA App
I give up. I tried to flash a JVS ROM by flashing a stock JVS i9000 ROM, and flashing two other .zip files, then Hellraiser, but, one of them, CWM would abort every time I tried to flash it, so it got stuck in bootloop also. I'm gonna try SensatioN one more time. If I fail to make it work again, I'm going to stick to Infused. I hope someone manages to port SGSII ROMs for Infuse I really want to get my hands on one.
U and me both. Have u tried the ported dlev rom? I flashed hellraiser beta 9 on top of it. Probably my favorite rom out right now fast responsive awesome battery life. Give it a shot if u haven't already.

To flash, you must first flash this recovery: http://www.mediafire.com/?2000k5y512spft4
Then boot into recovery, wipe data/cache, go to mounts and storage and format system, then flash the rom. Gapps are here: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-ics-20120317-signed.zip . You'll probably have to mount system manually under mounts and storage before flashing gapps.
I've only tested this using gingerbread bootloaders, no idea if it works using froyo bootloaders. If you don't want to deal with the caveats of gb bootloaders, then well, fix it yourself.
what works:
radio (calls/sms/data)
touchscreen
audio
wifi
sensors
hw acceleration
software and hardware video decoding
data usage monitor (for wifi at least)
what doesn't work:
camera/camcorder
bluetooth
anything else is either broken or completely untested.

i used both! what i did was this:
got entropys latest cm9, deleted the app, media, fonts, framework folders
then i replaced the deleted ones with the ones in the 3.6 base
i then took the i9000 3.6 essentials and instead of copying the folders i copied the files to the apropriate folders
i then flashed itthe reason it was bootlooping earlier was because it was missing the libandroid_runtime.so
the problem with the launcher is there is still some stuff from the /lib directory needed...flashed one with all the .so from lib and launcher shwed up however touch screen wasnt working...so now to go those logcats and see which lib i need

Would probably be a good idea to continue where windixxi left off since hes the closest person to get ginger working on our phone.
i think i remember Sduvick explaining that the drivers for this device are not exactly generic, so we really need an official Gingerbread kernel from Samsung. i'm pretty sure he tried porting a gb kernel from another device, but without updated drivers for the SK4G, it was basically impossible. that's how i understand it anyway.

So instead of trying to port drivers we would have to write new drivers in theory since we don't have a source to build from?

But, I also have Ubuntu installed inside of VirtualBox. It's a bit slow, but it works inside of Windows.

Incorrect.
If you are on the March 2012 baseband, BT CALL AUDIO does NOT work. Media audio does. This applies to ANY ROM that's not stock LG 2.3.4. There is the option to run a "modded" stock ROM such as BuRom & kewes (sp?) rooted, modded stock 2.3.4. Pair up with faux's GB specfic kernel and it's not terribly bad
You can also attempt to downgrade to an older baseband via kdz method.
As for G2Xer's question, I have not used it, I'll take a look at it, but I think it's more of a driver issue or something like that causing the problem.

As for G2Xer's question, I have not used it, I'll take a look at it, but I think it's more of a driver issue or something like that causing the problem.

What's up Jackyl. Thanks for your reply. I came up on this app thinking that it would reroute call audio into media audio. I'm going to try and downgrade my baseband soon per neowaves directions on the Hellfire forums. Just waiting for my sis to return my USB cable lol?

When you downgrade successfully post a link to the method you used. I am tired of waiting for this to be fixed.. I am running Cm7 nightly .. and Cm10 seems a dream - most devs have moved on now.. so I should at least get the best working phone I can

Incorrect.
If you are on the March 2012 baseband, BT CALL AUDIO does NOT work. Media audio does. This applies to ANY ROM that's not stock LG 2.3.4. Sorry didn't know there was an issue with Bluetooth and that baseband. I myself never found a good reason to upgrade. Glad I didn't!

Be thankful. Lol any update on whether or not this method worked?

Update: I emailed the developer but he said there's no way to reroute the Bluetooth call into the media. He's tried but said he and others have hit a couple blocks.
Additionally, I tried again to downgrade with no avail. For some reason my XP machine does not recognize my G2x when in SW mode. I know were all awaiting for CM10 BUT Im crossing fingers that our great dapharoah will take a look at fixing Bluetooth (no he never stated anything im just assuming since he's working on cm7 still).
Any ideas gentlemen?

Let's try comparing logcats from a g2x with v21y baseband and stock gingerbread connecting to a Bluetooth device and making a call, to a cm7 device doing the same thing. We should be able to find some sort of discrepancy correlation in the logs if we look hard enough.

I can help with that if you'd like.
I have everything set up with ADB, was doing some private cm10 testing, for a private developer, so I'm set to get logs.
I am on 21y, CM7 weekly, but can flash and go stock in 5 min to logcat both.

I don't think it will get fixed though.
The story I've always been told is LG needed to release something, maybe code, and it's something they didn't have to under open source.
Something like that.
Sent from...I can't tell you, the Nazi XDA Moderators will shut it down.
lol i have been following googles code site pertaining to this problem and it seems like even the CM team has ignored it since cm7 came out right after the v21y baseband release by LG that "fixed gps signal"....well it also broke radio usage until owain92 fixed it. but still nobody has solved the cell over bluetooth issue. media plays just fine, just not phone calls. im hoping that by mazout360 and king-nai compiling themselves and incorporating hard fixes into their rom, that they will not overlook the bluetooth issue. i have a feeling that their rom wil be phenomonal when its finished.
