its bcoz i juz read a forum inside Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Android Development >>WARNING! PLEASE READ!! ICS Kernels and Recovery - HARDBRICK WARNING...

For me no, I just installed it from a GB android with cf-root and everything was alright. If you want to make sure to make it safe, instal abysnote kernel before.
