[RECOVERY]TWRP 2.1.3 (Yes, with touch) - Motorola Triumph

This is the touch recovery from TeamWin
Information
Team Win Recovery Project 2.1, or twrp2 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features. It’s a fully touch driven user interface – no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Key Features
Ability to save custom recovery settings
Touchscreen driven with real buttons and drag-to-scroll
XML-based GUI that allows full customization of the layout – true theming!
Settings are saved to the sdcard and persist through reboots
Ability to choose which partitions to back up and which to restore
Ability to choose to compress backups – now with pigz (multi-core processor support for faster compression times)

Directions
For people with CWM installed
1. Boot into recovery
2. Flash the zip
3. Reboot into regular
4. Reboot into recovery
5. Viola!
For people that don't have a recovery yet(Thanks mantera)
To install TWRP, do the following. If you wish to UPGRADE an existing TWRP recovery that you already have installed, you still follow the following steps or alternatively, you can try the steps right above this post
Download the TWRP Recovery file using one of the links at the end of the post. Unzip the recovery.img file from the Zip file you downloaded (using WinZip, 7-Zip, or another zip utility) onto your desktop so it is easy to find.
Turn OFF your Motorola Triumph (MT) phone.
Once the phone is off, make sure that it is not plugged into anything at this time.
Hold down the Power + Volume Down buttons simultaneously until the phone vibrates. (I usually hold the phone in one hand and then simultaneously press one button with my thumb and the other button with my forefinger)
The phone will boot into Download Mode. You will see the following types of messages on the screen:
polling, get oemsbl_mode=1
Now plug the phone into your computer. A drive labeled MOBILE will appear in your computer
Open the MOBILE drive and you should see a folder named image.
In the image folder, you will now see the recovery.img file.
Rename the file to recovery.img.old (or something like that) so you have a backup in case you ever want to revert back to the stock recovery.
Copy the recovery.img file that you unzipped in step 1 into the MOBILE folder on the phone.
After the copy is complete, unplug the phone from the computer and take out the battery, wait a second, and put the battery back into the phone.
To boot up into TWRP, hold down the Power + Volume Up and Volume Down simultaneously until the phone vibrates.
Bugs
Mounting sdcard doesn't work (removed it in future updates)
It says that there is no /data, but it actually works (It will say that data is 0 mb in backup, just ignore it)
CWM backups are not compatible - please make a fresh backup in TWRP as soon as you have flashed it
DO NOT FLASH A RADIO IMAGE WITH THIS! It's been known to brick phones if you try, and touch recoveries in general have also been known to.

[Q] Xoom Root Problems

A few days ago I decided that I wanted to root my Xoom, so I went by a guide on how to do it. ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1249798 )
I got into the bootloader, flashed on a new recovery, etc. Got the new kernal installed, so I reset my Xoom thinking I was done. Right now, it's stuck on the Motorola screen. Bring up the boot menu and try the recovery, it doesn't work. Tried the fastboot option, computer doesn't detect it. However, on the RSD mode, I did have some action with the computer. I'm not sure if it's a drivers issue, if the Xoom hates me... or what. :/
Anyone got any input on this?
I've done the following:
Used a different USB Cable
Used USBDeview to remove the drivers manually
Reset the Xoom using Vol up+Button on back
Ragequit, multiple times
Gone into Recovery, which led me to a Reading ODM Fuse: 1 screen where it stays
Tried the fastboot multiple times to no avail
Posted on xoomforums about this, no final answer.

Sounds like your relocked your bootloader, or you don't have a system image installed.
Start over from scratch - I used it to Root my Wifi Only Xoom and
my 4G LTE Xoom with no problems. Only took about 10mins - use this method:
Universal Xoom Root
Thats right, this method will work for any xoom on any update - Including future updates!!!
Note: Unlike the similar method floating around on here, this also gives you an unsecured boot image.
-- Please Note: this thread is still a work in process and has been sped up by the arrival of the 4g Xooms --
Current requirements: adb & fastboot have been setup and you have an external sdcard for your xoom.
1. Setting up adb & fastboot
Coming Soon! (If you want to write this section for me and pm me it, thats fine !)
2. Downloading the rooting-update zip file.
Download the zip file from here.
Now place this on your external sdcard. - Sorry this is a requirement at the moment, like I said this is a bit rushed.
3. Flashing recovery
1. Download this Recovery image. (put this image in the same folder that holds the adb.exe most likely tools or platform tools folder.)
2. If your device is locked, now is a good time to unlock it.
To UNLOCK -
Code:
adb reboot bootloaderfastboot oem unlockfastboot reboot
3. Flash recovery
Code:
adb reboot bootloaderfastboot flash recovery recovery-Tiamat-R4c-100611-1150-cwm.img
Once you have verification on your device that this has been flashed, reboot your device by holding volume up + power.
Then 3 seconds after you see the Motorola logo, hit volume down. You should now see "Android Recovery" in the top left corner. Hit volume up to boot into recovery.
4. Flashing the Xoom-Universal-Root.zip file.
If you're in clockwork mod recovery you can continue (This recovery image will say it is clockwork mod) . If you're not looking at clockwork mod, then you need to repeat step 3 again.
In cwm, go into "install zip from sdcard" -> "Choose zip from sdcard", then select the Xoom-Universal-Root.zip file you downloaded.
Note: use the volume buttons to navigate and the power button to select
Reboot your device and then welcome to your rooted device!
Now reboot into recover and flash a new ROM of your choice - I like this one:
[ROM][ICS] Team Eos ICS 1.0.0
Flash ROM then, do not reboot yet. Flash GApps right after ROM Flash then reboot!
Welcome to your rooted device!

You can unpack the recovery, and add it. Just make sure init.rc has it included as well and the images are also in the ramdisk. You can get what is needed from your stock recovery. A simple fix.
Hi,
i flash 2.8.4.0twrp, then make backup, after that (whit in recovery options) try to make factory reset, and after that my one sv is messed up like hell...
It is not booting...stuck for a while at htc logo, screen goes black, then loads bootloader, I am able to go to twrp (I have fresh backup of complete phone, did it with twrp above), but not able to flash anything...it fails every time, saying that is unable to mount cache...try advance wipe, but it is not able to mount any thing...
Since my phone was S-off, unlocked bootloader, superCID (it is k2ul), hboot2.0, I tryed with fastboot oem relock (to lock bootloader, and flash stock pl80img.zip) but that fails too, ends up with to many links message...and bootloader stays with tampered and unlocked sign...
So..now i have latest twrp and totaly messed up phone...
How can U help me, anny advice???
THX in advance!

This is a modified full touch version of CWM Recovery 6.0.5.1 from cm-11.0 branch. Use it with CM-11.0 building environment. My main goal was to bring up a light but features rich recovery with touch support. All the other existent touch recoveries (TWRP, PhilZ, Miui) are just too big for the very small recovery partition that we find in most of MTK phones.
It includes more features than original clockworkmod recovery, and despite the fact that was first made for MTK powered phones, it can be used for other phones as well.

I am not the one calling you stupid, no need to get sassy. Marking the system as a read-only one should be the default in my TWRP builds as far as I remember, I have no clue how yours was the only one which had that disabled. But good job at figuring it out.
can i use the MT6755 SCATTER on nougat?

In addition to the above new features, TWRP features a scripting engine that allows an app to send commands to the recovery for the recovery to perform during startup. We call this scripting engine OpenRecoveryScript. This engine will be put to use immediately in the GooManager app. GooManager will be able to install recoveries automatically for most supported devices. The app will also let you choose to install multiple zips from within Android, wipe, and run a backup.
We are looking for other talented developers, themers, and device maintainers if they are interested in helping with a free, open-source project.
