Sorry I didn't know about sharing the voodoo apk, I've removed it from my cloud server

Do search before posting new thread. This app already shared in unknownzd's voodoo kernel thread.

Digital to Analog Converter circuit. By using this app we can control this circuit's output. Our handset uses W8994 audio chip.
.MP3 / .OGG is a digital audio file & it's converted to analog signal by the DAC to drive the headphones / speaker connected to the mobile.
Hope this helps.

I am not entirely sure if you will, if A8 will use lebidou's drivers, they wont be able to be played but maybe marcellusbe improved them in a way
I hope that they'll come up with something

dsp manager is an equalizer. it provides bass boost and dynamic range compression and virtual headset room too. it manages the audio output of your device abd greatly improves it you should try it
if you flash it on stock room you can use it in combination with the stock music player equalizer and create a beast audio

Best kernel for audio

Hi all, I'm running xxxxxxx kernel and I'm not satisfied with the audio quality, I'm on cleanrom 4.5 and just flashed xxxxxxx kernel, and now want to try another one cuz of the audio. Any suggestions? I could always nandroid back to stock but wanna try a custom one. Anyone pleased with their audio suggest a good one?

Just flash acid sound mod. You can also flash Goodness ROM which comes with sound enhancements.
Does kernel has anything to do with sound quality , eh ?
The only one I know of for better audio is not to be mentioned on this forum and currently isn't available. All the others that are available seem to be identical.

Volume mod?

Can anyone tell me if there is an app or zip available to increase the external speaker volume on this phone?
I use volume+ app from the play store although I haven't learned to calibrate it quite right yet.
When I use it to boost volume it gets louder but distorts really bad especially on songs w/ bass.

Flash AC!D, it increases volume. I have a thread in the themes and app section. Or you can go directly to the devs page and download there newest version.

Thanks for the info everyone. VIperMod is much better than Volume+! Got it installed and it works like a champ! Just have to tell my taskkilling apps to ignore it. I've had it stop working a couple times but I think that was the culprit.
I guess Apollo isn't compatible with this mod? Can you recommend a good music player?
