My sister has a LG Optimus Thrive(P506) that was working great until yesterday. The phone refused to boot up and every time I plug it into my computer to charge it, it keeps showing the LG logo for 3-4 seconds then powering of for 1 sec then starting again. The phone isn't rooted or anything and it's currently locked to AT&T. Any suggestions what to do? It doesn't boot at all unless it's in a power source. Also, we aren't in the US so the phone has been on airplane mode for 5 months now. Another thing is that ADB doesn't seem to see the device even when connected. Please help!
I remember this happening to my phone when it was fairly new and unviolated... just damn forgot what I did to fix it. I knew I did a factory reset using some button-power combination. It's in the manual. I lost mine.
You could also try booting it without the sim card and sdcard inserted.

The factory reset is activated by pressing power+down volume+home. That triggers the factory reset if u are on stock with no custom recovery.

Hello guys I have been struggling for the past week, my LG G2 phone has been rooted, I flash a custom recovery TWRP then I lunched to my stock rom I then tried to update my firmware to 4.4.2 kitkat the update was downloaded successfully, then it told me to reboot, so I did phone switched off then I was stuck on a boot loop but this time it was a boot loop with a error message on the left top corner. and then it would take be to a dim back screen. I searched the entire week to find a method to get me through the start screen and I found this -> NO Recovery mode, No download mode, after OTA on rooted LG G2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 I done exactly what it was showing, then my phone switched off and now it won't power up. Then I tried turning it on NOTHING phone does't show the LED charging lights, does't respond to the usb being plugged in can't do ANYTHING I am guessing the battery has died so now I don't know what to do, either contact LG or should I try getting a battery that is fully charged or even use a factory cable any ideas guys ?
Call LG support.

Hi, my Nexus 5 was just powered off as i clicked the power button to browse the web. I tried to boot it but it just went to multiboot and restarted after 2 seconds.
It kept restarting like it was bricked but shut off after a few times. Then i booted into bootloader but the screen went off after 2 secs. I removed the battery and put it on the charger but it just boot loops the google logo.
I am on Xtrasmooth v9.0 if you want to know but i dont think that this has any importance since my phone doesnt stay in the bootloader which has nothing to do with my rom (i think):good:
But maybe it has to do with multiboot? I have to say that my phone kept randomly restarting over the last week.

Hello.
Few days ago, my G2 (XT1068 Dual Sim) turned off without reason, i was thinking it was empty batery, so i pluged it and turn it on And there starts my problem.
i'm Stuck after Boot logo.
I power up my phone, I can see Motorola logo, and after it, i have black screen. No response for volume buttons etc. it's dead... But, when i turn it off, then its just reboot, i cant turn it off.
I still can get into fastboot mode, but when i'm using f.ex factory reset, my phone is just reseting to "normal state" with blackscreen.
I can't unlock bootloader Via motorola website
As i remember i install update from 4.4.4 to 5.0.2 using this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/general/official-lollipop-indian-ota-captured-t3002674/page94
But it was like 6 months ago... and there was no problem at all...
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Many dead phones are there due this 0% battery bug. Your partitions are currepted and if it is 5.02 there in no way to recover your phone. There is some guides for unbricking, please search.

Hello
I am new to working on these phones so I apologize in advance if I don't properly state any processes or terms correctly.
I have a stock non modded Verizon LGG3 VS985 that experienced problems with WiFi and Bluetooth not working and significant battery drain. This happened right after a recent update to marshmallow. I tried cache clearing, safe mode, hard reset and nothing solved the problem. I decided I wanted to take the phone back to factory condition. I started with the LG flash tool that uses the .tot and a .dll. I ran the flash and when the program got to approx. 80%(at checking mini os phase of the flash) the phone began to reboot and only got as far as the LG logo and after about 2 min of the phone trying to reboot the flash program said fail, usb connect or something like that. At this point the phone will only start and go into a loop that includes the vibrate and the LG logo. and that will cycle until I believe the battery would die if allowed. I then found a link here at XDA (https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-lg-g3/general/guide-flash-to-stock-10b-kdz-method-t2928140) that uses the KDZ method, was well written and easy to follow. I ran it on the phone and it was going great. The flash program got to 88% and the phone went into the boot loop with the vib and LG logo . The flash program continued to run until it was complete while the phone was in the boot loop and it got to 100% and said that the software installed. I powered down the phone via battery removal and now when it tries to boot it vibes, shows the lg log and then the green android symbol shows for about 2 seconds and then it does it all over again. I have tried a hard reset and nothing changes. I appreciate any ideas any of you may have on what I can try to get this resolved. Thank you.

Hello guys, I bought a used LG V50 Thinq KT 5 months ago and made it as my daily driver. I shot videos for some projects on the phone and I think the problem was because I had a ton of 4K videos on that phone and forgot to delete some of it and the storage probably got full and couldn't handle the background tasks that were mainly running the phone. It began overheating, then frequent freezing of the phone, couldn't even get past the lockscreen because it would just freeze everytime I opened it up. It then just boot-looped everytime I tried to turn on the phone. I actually did the factory reset where you press the power button and volume down button, It went to this factory reset mode and decided to wipe everything. Unfortunately after a couple of seconds it said "Erasing" then it would just boot loop all over again. I researched some tutorials on youtube on how to unbrick phones and want to try to flash a new stock LG V50 ROM. I've downloaded everything and the correct version of the ROM because I can still access the IMEI on my phone. What my problem is now, is that I can't access the bootloader because I haven't turned on the OEM bootloader option on the developer options. I am completely stuck and want to find a way how to turn on the bootloader on this phone without accessing the developer options so that I am able to flash the new stock ROM via LGUP..
any solutions yet ?
Get into download mode by holding vol + and plugging in usb
