evrit app for KF - help needed - Kindle Fire Themes and Apps

Hi,
Can someone please go the google play store to this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...1bGwsMSwyLDIxMiwiY29tLnlpdC5ldnJpdFZpZXdlciJd
download it and post the apk file?
This is a free app for buying and reading books in Hebrew, much like Kindle or Nook. The market says it's not compatible with Kindle Fire, so I cannot download it myself, but I would really like to try it as in most cases when I got this message, it turned out to be inacurate and I could sideload the app and use it with no problems.
Thanks a million,
Yossi

[Q] Not all android apps compatible with kindle, even if rooted...

Hi, I just rooted my kindle fire to be able to access the android market, and in the market app it does not even bring up blood and glory when searched? But if I go to the market via the web I can see it but it then says it is not compatible with my rooted kindle?? So I cannot download It.???? So are there just some apps that will not work??? Or is there a way around this?
Thanks!

Apps a deigned to work only with the right hardware. You could try to fake it so the market thinks its a different device but it still may not work
Because its the Kindle Fire the Amazon App Store is default. And so when company's like Gameloft release a game they'll assume that your Kindle Fire doesn't have access to the Android Market and most of the time they'll only release the app for the Android Market meaning that the Market app will filter the app out. One of the ways to get around this is to go onto your computer and download the apk file and then transfer it to your Kindle. Once you've installed it on your Kindle it should run. You can download an apk file via your Kindles browser as long as it is an apk file. I'm not to sure about paid app's however.
Thank for the info!
So how do I go about downloading the APK file (blood and glory) to a computer, as the market again will not let you download it (need android device)??? and once I have the file do I just drop it in to the main kindle drive (no special folder or any thing).. because when trying to find all my other APK app files that are installed on my kindle I can't find where they are store at on my kindle??
I am pretty new to all this still...
Thanks again, you guys are great!

Xfinity Mobile 3.5 APK

Does anyone have the apk file for Xfinity Mobile v3.5? I was able to get version 3.01, but it doesn't have the new features like text messaging.
It's a free app, so it's not pirating.
Thanks for the help.

HERE ya go, I downloaded it to my Galaxy Nexus and then uploaded it to box.com
Thanks airmaxx, but no joy with that link. I get this message:
Oops — this shared file or folder link has been removed.
Here you go.
Any chance you could download the Entertainment Weekly app from the amazon market since it's kindle fire only? (And post it). It's also free.
Thanks. Let me know if the apk works for you. I tested it and it worked for me.
Mike - Thanks that worked!
As for the Entertainment Weekly app, I'm not a subscriber, so I don't know if it will work. Also, I've never backed up an app before. I'm not rooted, so hopefully one of the back up apps will let me do that.
If you know how I can do it, let me know.
Tom
Shouldn't need a subscription to grab the app because it'll ask for your subscriber info at app launch.
*edit*
Shouldn't need root. The Amazon AppStore downloads the APK to your SD Card prior to installation. It's located at /sdcard/Android/data/com.amazon.venezia/cache
Thanks!
Mike:
I'l give it a try.
So, you don't have a Kindle Fire yourself?
Tom
Not yet. Been thinking about it for my wife. I bought the Xoom last March and have been really happy with it... and use the Kindle app (kind of irks me that I don't get all of the free Amazon Prime rentals without actually owning a kindle, but... that's another topic).
Anyways, it seems like a nice product and all. I just can't justify it at the moment since the Xoom does everything I need it to. I just want to try to fiddle with a few of the apps that are locked to the kindle at the moment... for whatever reason.
If you want any other freeware apps that are in the market or otherwise unavailable for the kindle fire, feel free to PM me.
Entertainment Weekly
Mike
Try this
Worked like a charm. I was able to log into my account and see all of the available issues. I downloaded one and it worked just fine... I wonder why they have this locked down to just the kindle fire...
Thanks for your help!
plomaris,
Thanks so much for uploading the Entertainment Weekly apk!
I can now =finally= access EW on my tablet, even though I'm overseas & the Amazon App Store doesn't let me download the app *boo hiss*
So thanks from a very happy camper

Your device is not compatible with the version

Running and ICS / CM9 ROM on my Kindle Fire.
"Your device is not compatible with the version" when trying to download Fandango Movies for Tablets from Google Play.
If somebody would post the APK, that would be fantastic!
If somebody would explain why I get this message for this app and other apps on Google, play I would appreciate it. Is it resolution or LCD density? It would be nice of Google to give an explanation of the "not compatible" reason
Thanks!
I don't know this particular forum's rules in regards to posting "free" apks but the reason has something to do with the build.prop file and the fact google play does not recognize the kindle fire as compatible device because "technically" you shouldn't be able to access the Google Play store. A quick google search for "fandango tablet apk" yielded many positive results and you could always side load it until someone else that knows the rules better for this particular section posts and the apk.
I'm pretty sure its OK to post free apks, and yes a search brings up many links for fandango tablet app but they are all links to the play store. I am also interested in this apk if someone can post it.
Good luck with this. I wasted my time finding the APK for HBO Go yesterday, even backtracking versions. At the end of the day, it really wasn't compatible and would not run.
Also running CM9 on the Kindle, for whatever that is worth.

good to know about HBO go, but many apps that say not compatible do work, like NFL for tablets and USA today etc. So its worth a shot.

[Q] Kindle fire e book reader

Hi,
Please don't get me wrong, now i'm on HellFire ROM, and it's awsome.
The only one thing is missing is Original Kindle fire ebook reader.
I tried all other readers, but I don't like them at all.
Is there any small chance to reteieve original reader form KindleFire ROM to install it on other modded ROMs?
Go to the Google Play store and download the free Amazon Kindle reader app.
I think he means the enhanced kindle fire reader.

Well, it's not easy.
I tried straight from play store - not finding app, I went trough play store web page , found app, try to push it to my device with my account and nothing, not installing.
Second, i tried trough amazon appstore, but no chance because my account is registered in Poland, i tried with fake account with address from US, no success.
I don't know why play store is not showing this app. for kindle (not compatible?).
You can always download from www(dot)apktops.com/kindle-3-4-1-1-amazon-kindle.html and sideload. Hope that helps!

The kindle app that comes with the stock rom requires the custom launcher for it to work.
Install the stock from, root it, install go launcher, use es file explorer to uninstall the kindle fire reader app that comes with Google apps package and you can then use the native enhanced kindle fire reader.
