Hi everyone,
I am not sure, if I am posting to correct forum, but hope so...
Let`s imagine:
- I have tablet, which have customized ICS installed
- I want to compile clean ICS and flash to it, so I have my own in tablet then
So, do I need also some drivers to include or, how to say, what all I need to do to succesfull build ROM, which can be flashed into tablet. I am new in this, but I am very interested to adjust it by my preferences.
Thank you all

How Can I create an android 3.2.1 HONEYCOMB ROM for the transformer...
Thanks in advance
First, the HC source is not available, so you can't compile one from scratch like you can for gingerbread. ICS will be open source, so when that is released next month, you will be able to compile your own rom from source.
So in the meantime, at this point you have a few options remaining:
1) use the ASUS roms as a starting point and mod and theme them to your liking. There are several *prime* examples of this in the dev forum.
2) port a rom from another device, such as the xoom. I'm not 100% sure if this is possible, but since they share the same CPU, it will at least be a fun challenge.
I mean I want to add themes, apps, launchers and create custom ui and settings...

How Can I edit a custom rom...
Thanks in advance...
Hello XDA,
I have bought a new android device for myself today, the Sharp FX Plus (Model: ADS1) and I've been browsing on the site to find some compatible roms; But no luck. I've used the forums before to successfully root and put a rom on my ASUS tablet with no issues, but this one is a mystery. Is there a thread with what roms are compatible with my phone or has nobody ever really looked into this phone? I've tried to google it with no luck, either. The phone is already rooted, I got that far, I just can't find any roms that are 'confirmed' compatible with it.
Thanks to whoever replies!
P.S. I'm slightly new to the whole custom rom thing - but I do somewhat understand the basics.
metoo!
I too have a sharp fx plus ads1. I have my phone rooted but am having no luck finding a custom rom. I understand it is kind of an entry level android and maybe out of date but it has all the capabilites I need. I also know enough to root my phone and install a rom but not good enough to actually create my own custom rom. Is there anyone that has the time and enjoys doing so that would help out with a custom rom for these phones? I found a page that mentioned updated to 3.2 with a new rom but there was no link for the rom so I'm thinkning it was a fake. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

EDIT: I posted in Misc Android Development section here, trying to put the information in a centralized area for any potential development on this device.
Recompiled the CM7 Kernel as a test using the device's config.gz, working on getting the CM7 source to go (its being tricky lol). I have a test CyanogenMod 6.1.2 ported from a Z71 that runs, as well as a modded stock 2.2.2 ROM. A "dirty-port" test of a Z71 CM7 rom boots with some mods (no radio, networking, etc..) - so there may be some hope for this lil thing!
Hope that helps

Can somebody please suggest on what's the best ROM available. My Tab is 3G and Wifi.
Thank you.

Daniel`s Carbon Rom 4.4.4 is for me the most stable. Although the latest CM12.1 I just installed seems awesome.
Oups, sorry I did not read the title.
To install the best available ROM, you need to install TWRP 2.8.3.1 - p6800 as described in Android Development subforum
Guys, I need some FAQ pn my P6800. I did install some custom ROMs - now have CM12.1 from Daniel. For some reason all of custom roms were (and are) really unstable (frequent reboots, long lasting lags). Compared to stock icecream sandwitch all of them were worse I read some feedbacks and assume that it is my specific issue. So I would like to doublecheck if I do everything right. I have one latest TW recovery, wipe everything and just install the rom from zip. There is no need to flash a dedicated file for kernel (like they have it in sony devices), or something like that, correct?
So basically i got a little bit tired of being stuck with my good old Zopo ZP990+ and it's stock Android 4.2.2 and want to do something about it.
I dug a little bit through xda and other sites and found out that there are lots of official KitKat ROMs and custom Lollipops (Marshmallow even) for devices with the same processor (MT6592).
Some info about my model:
Zopo ZP990+ running slightly customed Android 4.2.2 with kernel 3.4.39. Got myself a TWRP so no problem with custom Recovery.
Wherever i go i see that in order to port ROMs i need to upgrade my kernel to 3.4.67 (or smth like that) so:
1. Do i really have to update kernel in order to flash custom 4.4.4 or higher? (Might be stupid question for some of you, but i just can't let go of hoping that it might run with 3.4.39 as well)
2. If i do have to then is there any way to know HOW can i update it? (Or mod it, whatever is fine with me as long as i will know how to do it or where to find info about it)
3. I also found a guide which shows how to create completely new CyanogenMod, so i was wandering whether i should go in that direction and then maybe just update that?
It seems like there is no official release of kernel source code (found something on github, but it's not official and i think it's for ZP990 not ZP990+).
Simply put i just want to ask about modding kernel, how to and what to do with it in order to get it working with better firmwares.
Thank You all for any kind of support given. If nothing is possible, then don't worry. I'll somehow deal with this harsh truth.
