So I LOVE Sense 4.0. I love the way it looks, and it's a big, driving reason for my desire for an EVO 4G LTE. Or so I thought. I spent some time last night digging around to theme my phone, and for me, it breathed new life, visually, into my 2 year old EVO 4G. Of course, this doesn't give you the *features* of Sense 4.0, it's just a set of skins to achieve the look. They say beauty is only skin deep, and this is only a top layer, but ICS provides a wonderful, functional base. And yes, I'm using some paid apps in this, but at the fraction of a cost of an EVO 4G LTE, it's well worth it. And some stuff like WidgetLocker expand the functionality past normality. Other stuff, such as Apex, probably doesn't need to be Pro, but it's what I'm using.
This guide should work on any CM9 AND CM10 port, as well as AOKP, but YMMV.
Here's what I'm using:
Apex Launcher Pro with the CM10/AOKP Theme: Sense 4 from the Play Store - This WILL work with the CM9/CM10/AOKP!
Sense_4_clock_white_v3.apk from this post (it's a modded LP clock, so no fancy weather animations or anything)
Smart Keyboard Pro with this skin
WidgetLocker with this theme
Boot Animation: HTC One boot animation!

If anyone has found anything else, feel free to chime in. Stuff to look for is a way to make the status bar transparent, better clock/weather widget, other Sense 4.0 widgets, etc. I'm always on a quest to make this look better!

Apex Launcher lets you choose different styles of folders. Go into Apex Settings, then Folder Settings. Set the Folder Preview to "Grid" and Folder Background to "Square".
As to the lockscreen clock, it's the standard WidgetLocker clock widget, 3 spaces wide, centered on a 5 column grid. Oh, and no owner info text.

Using that CM9 theme I linked, it'll skin the dock for you. I had the same issues, to the point that I made my own, until I tried that theme.
I have to hand it to you, sir. You are a genius. This looks great!

Installation Notes

Give it a try, I used to hate metro UI until I used launcher 7 for a while... it's surprisingly good.
I love Wp7 in def gonna try this out. A great option for the keyboard is A.I keyboard with the wp7 skin. Its badass abd accurate

dont really think this should be in the dev thread, probably shouldve made a how to make your sensation look like wp7 thread instead since this is basically miui with the wp7 theme on top with other mods. i did this to my sensation yesterday
but it isnt such a bad thing to have you doing something for all the people too lazy to set it up themselves

Hello XDA!!! This is the new thread for the Express. I have rebuilt this from the ground up. PLEASE, be clear, this is a ROM based off of the HTC Flyer tablet pc. That means this ROM is HUGE. I have slimmed it down to as small as it can pretty much get. You can download tons, but if you run out of space, don't be surprised, you are running a tablet on your phone. I am not sure about the recovery for the Shift. You might be ale to slide by without Amon-Ra, that's just what we use for the EVO 4G.

Well I got it to semi-boot. I can turn on the screen and i see the notification bar but thats it. I can't proceed to set up

I will have the new ROM up in like 30-40 min depending on Filezilla. If this gives you any lockscreen woes, let me know. I will put the factory lock back in, but you will get the rest of the landscape goodness!! I am pretty sure this will fix it though.

SWEET!!! I am glad you are ready. It should be about 10 more minutes. Make sure you have your sd partitioned. This writes the widgets to your sd's data partition.

Download the zip first. Now you can either extract the ones you want and push them through adb or something. Or you can delete the ones you don't want and flash it through recovery

All Cyanogenmod 9 mods were made using the CM9 Stable ROM from get.cm, and the CM10 ROM is the August 27th update. Just causes a bootloop.

It will only wipe apps and settings, but you should always backup your media in case of problems
