Hello XDA!!! This is the new thread for the Express. I have rebuilt this from the ground up. PLEASE, be clear, this is a ROM based off of the HTC Flyer tablet pc. That means this ROM is HUGE. I have slimmed it down to as small as it can pretty much get. You can download tons, but if you run out of space, don't be surprised, you are running a tablet on your phone. This isn't a Stock Sense 2.1 ROM. This project is still BETA so, realize there are going to be some small bugs, NOW VERY SMALL. That being said, here are the goods.

*Note: Use personalize/lockscreen shortcuts, window will popup saying use Rosie Utility or Shortcuts Lockscreen. DO THIS IN ORDER!!!!
To edit shortcuts, choose Rosie Utility, then edit your shortcuts and hit done. VOILA!!!
To get weather lock, choose Shortcut Lockscreen, then click the checkbox for weather and hit done. Don't edit shortcuts from this utility.

I am not sure about the recovery for the Shift. You might be ale to slide by without Amon-Ra, that's just what we use for the EVO 4G.

Well I got it to semi-boot. I can turn on the screen and i see the notification bar but thats it. I can't proceed to set up

I will have the new ROM up in like 30-40 min depending on Filezilla. If this gives you any lockscreen woes, let me know. I will put the factory lock back in, but you will get the rest of the landscape goodness!! I am pretty sure this will fix it though.

SWEET!!! I am glad you are ready. It should be about 10 more minutes. Make sure you have your sd partitioned. This writes the widgets to your sd's data partition.

I have made this ROM primarily from work/office profile point of view where i wanted to keep the distractions to the minimum. GUI required was sleek and responsive. So i have removed many default programs and modified few. I have used darker colors which demand less amount of power so that battery can last longer.I am attaching few screenshots here.Thanks to many SMAARRT_GEEK_ANGELS0x0 who relentlessly putting their efforts to make I9003 device worth using. Constructive suggestions to make this ROM better is always welcome.

Procedure to install...
1. Install XXKPH (Deodexed) & CF-Rootby skin or Amit (you will get root as well as CWM) 2. Download ChippyROM and place it on SDcard
3. Boot in recovery using 3 button sequence (Volume up+Home+Power)
4. Select Option =>Install zip from SDcard=>Select zip from SDcard => Confirm install of zip
5. Reboot

So far i am testing this since last 2 days and satisfied with battery. Stock Music player still intact. Just added MIUI Music Player...Just converted it for few icons and transparent widget.

I am in office sir...just managed to pull up the screenies. Rom on 4shared is basically beta. From themes perspective phone.apk and dialer got modded after that.. Let me try to upload it tonight after reaching home. I am bit short on internet bandwidth. operating on Reliance netconnect... you can understand the speed..

Installation Notes

Give it a try, I used to hate metro UI until I used launcher 7 for a while... it's surprisingly good.
I love Wp7 in def gonna try this out. A great option for the keyboard is A.I keyboard with the wp7 skin. Its badass abd accurate

dont really think this should be in the dev thread, probably shouldve made a how to make your sensation look like wp7 thread instead since this is basically miui with the wp7 theme on top with other mods. i did this to my sensation yesterday

Via odin
1. Download rom
2. Reboot into CWM Recovery and make a rom backup
3. Unpack and install Odin as one package
4. Phone will be rebooted and android will appear with an exclamation point. Remove the battery and turn on the phone. Everything should work normally
5. Perform initial setup and install Swype (Of course, if you want)
6. Do wipe
7. Enjoy the rom!
Download the file from backup rom and drag the folder to the root folder clockoworkmod the phone.
Install kqb by Odin. Then, restore the backup by cwm
Know's bug:
The error camera: quick pannel, go to settings and uncheck LED Flashlight
They introduced an amendment to the installation by cwm or manually, if any bugs are corrected and minor changes

For beta 2 was not added mod improves the outcome of the result of 2d.
I noticed that the example screen in the style of old-tv is not working properly, just a launcher, a list of applications sometimes does not scroll properly. I can add to this modification bulid.prop

anyway for those who keeps saying that nothing special about this ROM.. u guys need to chill. i've been here since mod open i9001 section for us. and back then there were not much ROM and the development was very poor. People started to say that this phone is not popular bla bla. but now im seeing development, more and more ROM are appearing frequently than before. and everyone should be greatful for the dev for his hard work.
for me, even if i didn't download their rom, i give all those dev like OP a thanks to show that i appreciate their hardwork, even if its not ICS port rom

I suggest not using that 2D tweak as it makes everything unstable...

PLEASE, if there is any problem with the themes, tell me, preferably PM me so I see it quicker, and I'll try to resolve it as quickly as I can.
All Cyanogenmod 9 mods were made using the CM9 Stable ROM from get.cm, and the CM10 ROM is the August 27th update. Because CM10 has not reached stable phase yet, framework-res.apk is subject to change, and the CM10 mods are subject to break. CM9 is at stable, and will only be updated in case there is a new stable ROM coming.

hi is it working on CM 10 kang Aug 27 update...
As previously reported, it doesn't work on the latest CM10 AUG27 build.
Just causes a bootloop.

Oh, i love mega hosting, this 10mb\s download speed
Download is Very Fast! :good:
Installed rom! Everything is gone well.
But when i unlocked it to after my first flash.. I had 1 FORCE CLOSE.
After that it the rom was good. had not trouble with wifi or anything else.
Browser is nice and smooth... Camera works great!
I have no idea about the battery (flashed it 10 min ago)
But so far So good

Actually it clearly says "Sense 4.1 lite + 4.0.4"
ROM seems to be very good, but there is no russian lang in camera, music and weather apps

you can replace with this files (Idlescreen_Base.apk and fusion.apk) for ring lockscreen..

thanks but where i can find that files to download and replace???
Very good rom, smooth and fast, battery life is decent so far: 11h runtime and 40% battery left. One question though: can the app drawer be modified to 5x5 grid size in any way?? Thank you for this good rom, it's my new daily driver!
All, it might be a dumb question but this ROM hasn't got all HTC widgets, right? E.g. Profiles, Settings, 4x1 Music etc... Thanks in advance for any reply! Cheers!
