Hi! I'm on the Official Android ICS with Sense 3.6 update and the standard Sense Launcher restarts itself when I'm pressing the Home-button. I read a couple of other threads saying that turning off the Fast Boot option would fix it, but it don't work. Do you have any idea?
Edit: Sorry for posting in wrong section...
Edit 2: I've also flashed this mod: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1699591
Yea this is normal since the phone is really bloated with stock rom... Theres just too many things running on the background and sometimes the device shutsdown some running process like sense to free up some RAM... Atleast that was the situation on mine....

Root and flash ARHD. Has a nice mod that forces launcher in Ram if you should run out.
You can also try Ram Manager free from the market. There is a checkbox to keep launcher in memory. Works for me when I was getting Sense restarts.

Well I'm not asking for the best roms but, just some roms that you think are good for the mytouch 4g. I really do like the style of the ics but it is still in beta version (for the mytouch 4g) and I would rather just wait until the majority of the bugs have been fixed. There are just so many roms I really don't know which ones to pick from. I've tried the Cm7 but I had some problems with the mms on it unfortunately. SO i had to get rid of it.
But anyway. Does anyone have some suggestions on some roms that they like on their mytouch 4g? I don't really know which ones to pick from thanks.
and please provide a link to the roms download page as well, if you can.
thank you
Lol you want us to download it and put it on your phone too?
Try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1283682
Its Derek's 3.5 Runnymede based sense ROM. Sense handles MMS the best (IMO).
There is a link in that thread somewhere for a small mms fix. Happy hunting for that one.

But here's what you do:
1. Ensure you have the latest Gingerbread radio
2. Do a full wipe and install Virtuous Unity
2. Download Root Explorer
3. Download GO Launcher EX
4. Set Go Launcher as the default launcher
5. Using Root Explorer, remove all Sense, widgets, themes, and other bloat you don't need from /data/app AND /system/app.
You will now have the fastest, and most stable ROM available.
I second both those 2 answers but since you tried CM7, you could now try some sense ROMs like Darkside 4 or Unity, then perhaps MiUI.
Currently running CM7.2 and liking it. Love Darkside Sense too. VUnity and Affinity are good as well, for starters ...Liked MIUI too ...
I might suggest another way to clean up for Sense ROMs is to use ROMCleaner, which is handy ...

Out of curiosity, what changed between 7.1.1 and Nightly 252 that makes all that much difference?

I used to use CM7 but then I upgraded to Creamed Glacier. It does have alot of bugs but i suggest you keep an eye on it You say CM7 doesnt work? Try a Nightly Build

I've been running VU for months and have exceptional battery life. Can easily get through an entire day without needing to recharge.
Alternatively, if you just want to remove all sense components, give this a try:

Darkside
I flashed darkside sense 4 for a weeks now and am happy with the performance, plus all of the additions on top of sense and stock android
I second that about creamed glacier. Keep an eye on it, it keeps getting better fast. I'm using v7 right now

I've been looking for something like this for a long time!
THANKS!
is ICS good enough to be a daily driver though? Other than the camera problems, are there random reboots or music playback problems? I have ICS on my Samsung Vibrant and am thinking about jumping ship to the mytouch/panache for the extra 256mb of RAM...
worth it?
edit: meant to be a reply to post #13... dunno how to quote a post after the fact
Wait a few days here, there is a giant update coming out soon with the camera working and various bug fixes. But I get relatively few crashes. Some of which I'm sure are because of my beta nova launcher.

I'll post back here when the next update is released, but you can keep an eye on it.

Thanks so much!

Ahhhhh! okay...
Got it... guess I have LeeDroidTweaks in Elegancia, but it's v1.0, guess I need to upgrade to v4.3.
Just flash zip from 4EXT, right? I know it says Sense 3.6 at the top, will it work for Sense 4.0 as well?

@ ganeshp you are cool.. A lot of people you are helped here on xda, congratulations, it's very cool.
ERR!
Update:
So yesterday I attempted to flash LeeDroidTweaks to upgrade it, come to find out the version in the link above is for Sense 3.6 and not 4.0. Not the best idea to flash it either, after installing and a reboot... my phone was stuck on the Elegancia boot screen for like 15 - 20 minutes or so.
Looks like the copy of LeeDroidTweaks thats in Elegancia is from the HTC One X. As it seems that it will no longer be published and has been removed for download. I believe it's only going to be supported if you have the One X ROM thats LeeDroid puts out.
Luckily I had a copy of the ROM still on my SD card, cleared cache and devlik... reflashed the ROM. After reflashing I was as good as if it had never happened in the first place.
FEWF~! *a sigh of relief*

sorry i thought he had link for 4.0 sense too...
and didn't checked your reply properly either
im extremely sorry
It happens...
Its okay, it happens. At least I'm back up and running agian =]
Since those features aren't integrated into LeeDroidTweaks for the One X yet and since LeeDroid is no longer going to distribute an update for it w/ Sense 4.0 support...
Is there another tweak or tool that can place these toggles in my Notification bar that is compatible w/ Sense 4.0?
Thanks!

If you are on stock, there is no solution for this.
HTC Sense restarts when RAM runs low, for example during browsing.
This is a known issue & thereis unfortunately no solution.
Are you stock or running a custom Rom? I had this exact same problem on stock before I rooted my device. It drove me crazy! Can't say for sure the cause but I learned something from it. Once I rooted and installed a custom rom the problem stopped completely. What I learned is that custom Roms are actually MORE stable than stock rom! I've never had the issue since . It seems to be a known problem with stock rom. Make sure you don't have many running applications in the background, see if this helps some. Wish I could help more. Good luck.

I suggest you stop posting before I report you for trolling to the moderators, im not trying to be nasty about this or anything but 2 of your posts that I've read have now have been completely pointless. Also are you being paid by the venom team to advertise their ROM's? All ive seen in your posts are "you should flash viper sense 4 rom". Again stop it before I report you!
Clearing dalvik/cache wont help in the slightest because launcher priority is stored in services.jar for ICS
What you need is your ROM's services.jar then head over to the V6 SuperCharger thread (search the forum for it) and then from their goto the site that the OP points you to and upload your services.jar and it will come back with the priorities fixed so sense launcher should be forced into memory.
And also, if you go to installed apps under settings, and then on sdcard, you can try to move the ticked apps to internal memory. Worked for ne

Hi,
I think there are great Sense 4 roms out there but there's a problem with them.
Not Bulletsense, not Flyrom, not JaggyDZire, not derefas' build 7, not Apex rom, non of them work properly.
When i try to add animations to bulletsense it reboots but keeps hanging on the quietly brilliant logo, same on build 7 by derefas
With Apex sense it reboots but also keeps hanging on the same screen.
I don't know if its my fault but I like it to be solved.
Thanks!
Flyrom
hey buddy im using FlyROM v3 Revolution + FlyRom Script and its runing fine.
try to use superwipe before flashing.
it just reboot once. After installing the script it reboots, and i laugh at myself i forgot he says reboot twice after installing the script for it to work. then after that no random reboot thanks to shekhutanwar for the great rom. Godbless guys
Did u try jaggydzire latest version? It is the only sense 4 Rom working on my pico.
I am facing WiFi hotspot and USB tethering probs only.
All the sense 4 Roms are damn slow. U cant deny that explorer is made only for gingerbread. Sense 4 roms are eye candy but have to go a long way to become stable like gb roms.

Bro, I am using Jaggydesirev2-blackjack, which is too good and stable also. I haven't faced any issues here. First of all wipe data, cache And from advanced menu dalvik cache. then install the rom, hey !! don't reboot. now again install the finalizer then reboot twice. then the rom will work excellent. Wifi hotsport and usb tethering may be a little issue but else are ok. Try it, you will not be unhappy installing the same.
Hope I helped.
Thank me if I helped
