TeamXron Evo3d Port World's First 7/7/11

I've spent weeks working on this. This is my baby. We still need help with camera. Please don't post links or promote other roms in my thread and try to stay on topic. Other than that this rom is a daily now. I will be opting it and uploading that version next. I might add some suggestions also. Don't be scared by the size of the rom. I will upload an opted version without some of the "bloat" later. This version is mostly stock and i want ppl to have it. i will be removing languages and such over the next week.

lol.. i want ppl to go to my site for it. so yeah.. and i also made sure to make some battery % and get some different ones for ppl who didn't want stock ones. i might theme it. i have an optimized version of this but i haven't tested it and will be sleeping soon so i might upload tomorrow if it's all good.

Very nice, my phones currently out of commission and being serviced but looking forward to giving this a go. I was also in the midst of a holiday port till my phone went belly up but it looks as if youre doing one too. Good luck with it!

Does this have the carousel(sp) function for switching through the sense homescreens? And in regards to your camera issue, since MIK has a functioning camera, couldn't you harvest that for implementation on your ROM? Just a thought, if not, please don't hate as I know absolutely nothing about ROM manufacturing.

not exactly. It has half a gig for ram. Most is for cache. Im gonna see hwo small i can get this baby

I didn't notice HDMI out.does this work on this Rom?

Do what you do best clark, i'll try it out when its trimmed down. i normally don't partition my sd card

ok i got the zip down to 338 and 80 mb of that is removed apks pushed to you sdcard
I don't have time to flash it but it will be i will upload it in a little. Maybe make a new thread and credit the OP. I want to use this as a base if you accept.
Also the 3.0 weather was removed for obvious reasons until a higher up dev can remove all extra languages from all the apks and trim it down. In the mean time i have a flashable zip for it instead

I see in below link from samsung vibrant some solution for Gingerbread ROM ranibow and recovery. Has any one traied these boatloaders on SGS-4G. Is it safe to flash?

This phone is not like the vibrant, don't flash anything that is not for your phone, or it will hard brick, the guys are trying to figure it out, but again do not flash this!

yea i did the other day, and according to robbbbit he has as well a long time ago
however hardbricking is still extremely hard, seems the only way to do it is with sbl's and boot bins

i simply spent hours upon hours to find the guide AND TEST IT to do this, obviously nobody else knew where to look and i posted that i didnt invent it on my guide

i really like the GB rom but it has sooo many errors :/

I was actually just about to post in the GB rom worth it thread saying how happy I am to have not converted yet :X I'm running bionix overclocked @ 1.3 w/ ext 4, and i wanted to try out the init d tweaks, but have been busy with school lately. I'm excited for GB, but I'd much rather wait till everything is sorted out hahah.

yea its definitely a good idea, and i saw that krylon hopped back on the sgs4g wagon meaning he will help fix the GB rom
the init.d tweaks will definitely make your start up faster

Nice, so glad this is the phone I chose. Coming from a G1 to this phone.. the boot up process seemed quick already hahah.

I loaded up the latest MIUI on my friends inspire, very jealous and feeling animosity. So we shall continue to pain our heats with our favorite MIUI features. Mine happen to be the endless supply of lockscreens and the smoothness of the UI , yours?

i loaded it on my friend's inspire too. its very very clean that's my favorite part, the transitions are cool looking and the lock screen & notification pull down are nice, but after 20 minutes i got really annoyed at the UI. It resembles the iPhone UI a little too much.

I've never actually used an MIUI ROM before, but I have used some of the apps. The camera, music app, and the web browser are awesome... I can't wait for a full working MIUI ROM so I can try it out, however long that might be

transitions are nice @ lippstuh - - i dunno i got annoyed with it as well, but i know if i had it on my phone give me 20-30 minutes and it won't even look the same

But really, one of my favorite things about it is how easy it is to change themes. Then take into consideration that there are so many and it's freaking awesome.

In all seriousness about that, I tried merging of Cyanogenmods radio interface layer and i had data for about one minute and then I wasn't able to bring it back. I am not claiming to have a working solution since I am extremely new to developing and was just using newb ingenuity. The only problem that I ran in to AFTER the fact was that my dumb old phone wouldnt go back in to 4g, no matter which rom and radio I used lol! I <3 MIUI

my opinion.
I completely agree with eollie,
also, it's just more stable. I'm sure you're aware with the GB stability flaws, like flight mode, ril fails at times, still not as fast as wanted.
ICS fixes a lot of those issues, and makes it more stable at bootup.

A lot of the appeal I think is the fact that Samsung denied us ICS. Makes people want it even more lol. Like you, I haven't really gotten what the big deal is but I could've missed something. I'd like to hear some opinions from those who have used both gb and ics and can give us the pros and cons (if there are any).

Yeah its a feature ported to CM7. Each notification in the shade can be swiped away individually.

Isnt it based off cm7? Because its part of CM7, just sayin..

LOL Erik ill think real hard about flashing something you port again LOL...just kidding...that was a pain in the a$$ to recover from.....good experience though,my normal way to flash back to stock would not work so I had to learn another.
OK anyhow...im back on topic lol.

The swipeable notifications is done in the frameworks and systemui which are not used from cm but are something in lewa itself what is used from cm are some libs and bins and of course kernel just saying too

Sorry cant multi quote idk why and well lewa is on mtd so u can't flash back with cwm back to bml you have to one click or Odin back

Are there any sense roms or launchers (not themed ones like adw or go launcher) for this phone? kinda like how touchwiz 5 was ported to all phones but a sense 4 version

Umm the UI is amazing that's really the main reason most people like sense it has great carousel effects when scrolling, theme options, and great Widgets that are incomparable!

Not to sound like a ****, if you want sense buy a htc. Ive seen the various sense ports and most phones just arent built to run it unless they are made by htc.

Lol no I hear you there's a 'sense 4 all' rom on the s3 that's no where near perfect which made me wonder if we could get it. Now it wasn't perfect but it was an option and that's all one needs

Did y ever read what they said in Ops bro? Tons of big issues...and why would u want a sense rom while ya, galaxy s2 has that lame sense rom, too and or buy urself an OneS...lol...this is nonsense
...u think we didnt think of sense? U r wrong, and u think we have to do it by requests? Then this place is not your porting factory lol...if u want it so bad then buy erikmm a new phone and be polite to this community and u will have it (sometimes, u can help us by ur silence okay? Sense does look good I agree with you on that but porting them from htc to sammy is pretty difficult, a lot of framework issues. Unfortunately, I think your best option for sense is to buy a phone for htc.

why don't we just ask someone who already had sense on his phone, yes the sgs4g he had at one time. let him tell you why he didn't port a sense rom.

WIth just the sense ui running the os had a whole whipping like 10 mb of usable ram so NO its not viable for our phone.

sence phone's normally come with 786 mb some do have 512 mb ram for the sense ui but they uses a stripped down version of the sense ui. Trying to port those is a nightmare as most of those htc phones run something other then android or a custom version of there android os which is pretty much geared for that device so porting those wont happen.

Ya but ,erikMm told me tht sense4 runs on our device normally (mean not eating ram) but since his phone is die so...(that's what i tried to tell those mmbers haha)
And like the OP said that he read all stuffs bout sense4all so didnt he see that sense4 has so many big issues running on sammy devices? Then why he had to open this thyread when probably knew the answer if he has brain (for sure rthat he has lol)

I have a broken down port of sense and I disagree on how much of a resource hog it is for this phone. It's in alpha build and when I can/have time(job searching and school)get kyndig to test and log for me I'll release it.

well good luck with that ....
sence the sgs4g has 512 mb ram 130 mb is taken by the os for video audio and so on so forth which leaves about 382 or so i know we normaly have less i dont have a device in front of me
the sense ui take about 256 or so
so unless u like running ur device off 100 mb or less memory and that doesnt include actually running anything...

Dont confuse Ram with storage space as they are 2 separate things.

Well the alpha one I had iirc was running with 80+ the whole time and being alpha I'll take it for now...also most people will revert back to rom of choice(aokp/cm9) probably just want to play around with sense lol
