[Q] Is it possible to hide mouse cursor? - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone,
Is there anyway to hide the mouse cursor when using the docks touchpad?
Im using DosBox Turbo and its very confusing when you can see 2 mouse cursors on the screen, Does anyone know if it can be hidden either within the emulator settings or the TF101 settings.
Many thanks in advanced.

Needs a version of CWM recovery, flash the preferred zip. (No-circle in your case)
Pointer without circle click.

Thanks for your quick reply,
Ive flashed the zip but now its stuck on the Asus loading screen with the circle.
Any ideas?
Im on ICS Revolver.

The zip was designed for aosp based w.w so it might cause problems. You can get into recovery fine right? try reflashing the revolver rom over it and should boot up

Yep ive reflashed the Rom and everythings back to normal, I should read the entire thread before I jump in and start flashing things ,
Anyway this is on hold at the moment because now my transformer wont charge due to a loose connection in the usb cable, Thing is aswell I dont think theres anywhere locally were I can by one so gonna have to order online and wait
Update:
New usb cable arrived today and tablet now fully charged.
Still havent got rid of my cursor at the moment, Im happy with my current rom and dont fancy changing it, Does anyone know if there are any mods to Revolver rom to hide the cursor or can the other mod by modified??

[Q] Touchscreen stopped working on Nexus S

Hi all
Today I was trying to get my nexus s onto the official ota ICS update by flashing it manually, following guides other people had had success with.
I was on the cm9 ics beta, so I had to flash the full rom of 2.3.6.
This worked completely, however I think the ota update file I downloaded was corrupted, as flashing didn't work, it said something about signature verification failed. So I redownloaded it, from the same link, and the new one was bigger. I tried that, and the same error. I tried wiping data/factory reset etc, and I accidentally started to flash a cm7 rom I had on my phone.
I stupidly did a battery pull as it started to flash (the back cover was off already), and now my touchscreen doesn't work. I was able to successfully flash other roms including the 2.3.6 I downloaded, and I couldn't do the first setup procedure (touch the android to begin). I tried cleaning the screen very carefully with 90% isopropyl alcohol, the same stuff I use to replace thermal paste on cpus.
It still doesn't work. I am hoping it is a software issue that can be fixed otherwise I have to return it.
Someone please help
I have used the search function and none of the solutions I found worked.
(UPDATE) I rebooted again, and when the phone booted into cm7, the "internet" icon(the globe picture) on the bottom left of the dock was in the "pressed" state(orange). It was like the phone thought I was holding my finger on it, which suggested a hardware issue. I cleaned it again and nothing changed. Then I held the phone in the landscape position. When the screen rotated, the button stayed pressed. So the phone doesn't think "this part of the screen is being pressed" it thinks "this internet icon" is being pressed. Rotating the phone again and again didn't change anything, the icon was still pressed in.
Defiantly a software issue. I would try to unroot and reroot. Then if it is still not working, try to format the SD card. You may want to considering buying a USB to micro USB adapter to help you, considering then u could plug in a mouse. I have one just in case I need it.
Thank me if any of this helped
Also try and keep this updated with new info. If I can't help, maybe someone else can.

Thanks techno-update, I will try that. I haven't "unrooted" before, Is that just typing fastboot oem lock or whatever it is instead of fastboot oem unlock?
Also, I found a youtube video with the EXACT same problem.
v=zpfE15Xw_os&feature=related
Skip to 3:15, and you will see when he opens the power menu, the phone thinks he is pressing on one of the options, but he isn't.
I will let you know how unrooting and rerooting goes.
Thanks
(UPDATE)
I tried unrooting and then rooting again. It still does the same thing.
Even in cwr I can't use the capacitive buttons to navigate menus, does that rule out software problems? I am really hoping its just a software problem :/
I need my phone for an outing tonight (im in australia, its 5pm now) and I would appreciate it if some genius could solve this
I am usually the "go to fix it IT guy" in my area, but I can't figure this one out. I have tried formatting the phone, reflashing the mod etc.
Is there some more aggressive COMPLETE wipe or something that fully wipes the phone?
UPDATE 2
Guys please help,
I just flashed zulugen mod, as it has the trinity kernel, I don't know much about android os, but I hoped that that might replace the touchscreen driver or something. The rom flashed correctly, but touchscreen and the capacitive buttons still don't work. Please help
Guys, is there some sort of system partition where the touchscreen drivers are kept or something? And when I pulled the battery as it was flashing cm7, it corrupted these?
Is there some way to fix this?
bump
bump. I need help with this urgently. Is it possible the connections for the screen came loose inside? I would crack it open but don't have screwdrivers for the 3 smaller screws on the last layer of plastic before the pc board.

[Q] My TF101 stuck at EEE Pad Blue Bar screen!!!

Hi All,
I had ICS installed on my TF101. However yesterday it totally discharged when it was asleep and I had trouble turning it on. I never had this happen with HC. So I decided to go back to HC. I had my tablet rooted and su backed up. Had recovery installed.
I flashed official US HC fw and everything went fine until I tried to reboot the tablet. It's now stuck at the EEE Pad loading logo with the blue bar approximately half filled in. No amount of button combinations does anything. I can't enter Vol + & Pow button to enter ADB, and when I try to enter recovery mode, the white text shows up saying searching for OTA recovery and that's it, still gets stuck at the blue bar.
Any ideas or ways to get to my recovery before I return my 2nd tf101? Thanks!!
(Btw, I'm not a newbie, I would NEVER do this whole thing if ICS was stable and worked like it's supposed to, but I refuse to own a 390$ half working tablet that crashes, has battery drain issue and gfx glitches after the FORCED ICS update!)
Have you tried cold-booting it? (power + vol-, wait untill you get the option to cold boot or wipe)
Also, I dont understand what you mean by "forced ics update". I ran my TF for several days without updating (albeit, with the annoying icon in the notification area).
Although I guess you bought the tablet new and recently Im still going to ask. Whats your serial number (3 first)?

Hi Goatshocker!
I have tried to cold boot it, but it does not allow me to get to the 2 icons you're talking about. When I hold down Vol - & Pow, it shows the regular white letters from bootloader, and gets stuck at the blue loading bar EEE Pad screen.
What I meant by force, is that after 4 delays of the update, ICS will install itself automatically! Even when the tablet is in sleep mode. That's what mine did.
In order to avoid this, the user would have to root his tablet and use Titanium Backup Pro, and disable certain system update processes. Which is NOT for the casual user or for anyone who wants to keep warranty intact.
The s/n I have starts with C2O.

[Q] keyboard issues- want to change ROM

Hi all, New guy here.
i was told to check out this site to see if i could fine the solution to my issue with a used TF101 i purchased.
i am not fluent with tablets and rooting, etc. so bare with me.
The problem is that when i received the tablet the on screen keyboard was filled with some japaneese writing where the keys were.
Which confused me, i went into the settings and changed the setings to the qwerty style keyboard and everything looked right on the touch screen, but when i docked the unit onto the keyboard dock, some of the keys would not type the corresponding letters or symbols,
such as when pressing shift and the underline, i would end up with the squigly line left of the number one, and other keys would not work properly either.
i asked around and my findings were that the unit was running a stock japaneese honeycomb build ROM,
(my current build is Htk75.jp_epad-8.6.5.13-20110925)
and that i would have to install a new rom to get the keyboard to work properly i have looked at the how to root in the asus section, and it said that i must be running ice cream sandwhich, can someone help me understand what i need to do and what steps i need to take to fix this without creating a paperweight.
the info i have so far
ASUS TF101-1B218A 32gig currently without micro sd in the slot ( will change this weekend when i purchase one)
my build = Htk75.jp_epad-8.6.5.13-20110925
when pressing the power and the volume down key and then the up key, i receive the green android guy with a exclamation point in the center.
i have downloaded the zip file from asus for the us build rom, and put the unzipped zip file into the sdcard directory, and rebooted,
but i was told that it should try to update itself after i rebooted, but nothing had changed at all, still the same without any update notifications etc.
sorry for the length, but any help will be appreciated and i will thank you in advance for info you may have.
thanks
mike

[Q] Deleting all of a phone's internal storage. Will it mess it up?

I'm selling my Galaxy S2 Skyrocket, tomorrow, because the glass, and LCD (Or Amoled) is shattered.
I get no display from it all, only beeps when I get a notification, and my soft keys buttons will light up.
I'm trying to get rid of all of my personal information, and i'm not really sure how to go about it without the screen.
I tried to connect to Samsung Kies, but I think after I changed roms it doesn't detect it anymore.
And I can't just navigate through the recovery menu via volume/power buttons because i've got a touch recovery installed.
so, what i'm curious is if, I delete all of the files on the internal memory (all that comes up when I bring it up on my PC) if it will
mess up the phone, or make it unusable. I don't want to give someone a broken phone to have them spend money on fixing it
and it be broken internally.
Also, any other ways on deleting the memory on it?
Thanks a lot!
If it helps, it's running JB 4.1.2 (Cyanogenmod)
and, I think it's using goo recovery.
Don't the normal keys for non touch still work on touch recovery.... I may be wrong, but I think they do
Also, even though your screen is unusable there is a way to control it via PC. Not sure about abilities in recovery (if I had to guess I would say that's a no go). At least you could boot and navigate around as you remove any personal info.

Thanks!
Download MyPhoneExplorer client for your PC and your phone. It has a "Control Phone" feature that displays the phone screen on your desktop and you can manipulate it with the mouse.

TF101 Fix dock keyboard or flash rom without recovery

Hi there!
i´ve a little issue and i want to know if someone can help me,
After a long time connected the keyboard dock to the tablet and I realized that when i write the keys has lag or doesn´t detect some letters, which didn´t happen with the original rom.
My intention is to re flash the katkiss rom, but I have the following problem.
When I exceed the brightness on 75% the screen goes black, when I android boot´s i can reduce the brightness and I can see normally, but when booting in twrp the brightness automatically gets to the max and I can´t see the screen.
Any idea to make a full wipe (by flashing the original rom and then upgrade) or how to remap the keyboard to make it works fine again without recovery.
Sorry for my bad english, i tried to do my best
Thanks!
