[Q] HTC Sensation stuck on BeatsAudio screen after ROm Installation - HTC Sensation

Hello guys....anybody,
I NEED HELP!
I recently unlocked my HTC on the DEV site. I went ahead to install custom rom - ARHD - I think I did everything right but now my phone restarts and is permanently stuck on the screen with BeatsAudio.
My phone details are:
- HTC Sensation XE unlocked
- PYRAMID PVT SHIP S-ON RL
- HBOOT 1.29.0000
- RADIO 11.23.3504.07_M2
- eMMC BOOT
I ALREADY HAD STOCK ICS ON (from HTC OTA) BEFORE DOING MY CUSTOM ROM INSTALLATION.
Any help guys please...? It's been stuck for two days. I stayed up all night going through steps over and over!!!

what recovery are you having ?
if its 4EXT ..then go to recovery ..and enable smartflash
4EXT -> tools-> enable smartflash
then flash the rom again
if you didnt have 4EXT ..then do the "extra 1" step
from this guide
ALSO read the above guide completely ..it will tell you what actually caused your problem and how to avoid it

lets see after youve unlocked your bootloader you should have flashed a rom so you can have root then install 4ext custom recovery with smart flash enabled i hope you have a back up copy of the rom you have flashed because you will have unzip the file and look for the folder that will say boot.img and copy it to the same folder that you have your adb and fastboot driver's in and then open cmd and typ your camand's to get your fastboot driver working and then typ fastboot flash boot boot.img and the typ fastboot reboot and your set enjoy

Have you made a backup of your previous ROM? If not try one of the custom sense roms or run the ruu without attached device, don't close the first window and search for the rom.zip, copy it to another folder and delete everything in the zip file except the system.img, rename it to pg88img.zip and flash it in bootloader or flash the image itself with fastboot.
As much as I know is your problem that with htcdev the kernel isn't unlocked and cause cyanogen needs another then sense, it doesn't work.

He's unlocked by htc dev
You can also try flashing the full package with all content from the rom.zip, but this sets also your unlocked state of the bootloader back and be sure that you use the latest version of the ruu.

You need to manually flash the boot.img from CM 7.1 when you have the unlocked bootloader.

[Q] HTC Sensation Boot Loop after S-off

First post. Hi all. I have rooted phones for years now and am finally at a loss of what to do with this current phone I have. I have a HTC sensation. I just S-offed it and was trying to install clolckwork mod 5.0.0.8 and it says model id incorrect and I am stuck in a boot loop. I must have downloaded 15 different PG58IMG files and they all say the same thing..... model id incorrect. I just got this phone in the mail. Revolutionary S-offed it. Then when it asked "Revolutionary will now ask you to Install clockwork recovery mod after S OFF. Type N and install it manually" from the [Guide] to Installing S-off, Unlocking, ClockWork, Root, SuperCID & S-on. Now I am stuck in a boot loop. Does anyone have any idea of how to get this phone working again??

I have successfully rooted a HTC sensation before. My phone got stolen out of my work truck and this is the replacement phone I just got yesterday and was going to do go through all the stuff to install android revolution HD on it. and right after s-off it boot looped. Next step was to install clockwork mod and thats where im stuck. I have no recovery installed because that was the next step. Any insight/help appreciated thanks
If you a have sd card adapter, you can download CWM Recovery form Here rename it PG58IMG and put on the root of sd card.
Put your sd card back into the phone and reboot in bootloader and it will install recovery. When you are done, delete or rename PG58IMG from sd card.
Btw what is your model Id?
Download terminal emulator from the market and detect it by typing "getprop ro.mid" (without quotes).
Inside the PG58IMG there is a text file with MID and CIDs which you could eventually edit in case of mismatch.
Hope it helps!
Also, instead of CWM you could try installing 4ext
Sent from my HTC Sensation using XDA
Ok I will try that. I looked under battery on my phone it say PG58100. SInce I cant get into my phone because of the boot loop I cannot download that program you mentioned. So should I open the android-info.txt in the PG58IMG and change
modelid: PG5813000
to
modelid: PG5810000
????
and then try the update?

If you have adv setup and can boot to bootloader
you can try installing 4ext recovery using fastboot commands.....here is link for touch recovery image
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1377759
Command
Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio using XDA
Just wondering if you flashed a wrong PG58IMG (ICS firmware instead of recovery).
You are on ICS firmware now but your rom is a GB I guess. This can be the reason of boot loop.
If this is the case read carefully and download the right PG58IMG (firmware 1.17 if your rom is a Gingerbread) from here.
Unfortunately all the bootloader flashable zips are named PG58IMG, but their content is different.
Heres what I did. Took phone out of the box. turned it on. used it for a couple minutes. Then I did the whole revolutionary s-off process. Then I did this
-----------------------------------------------
STEP 2. To INSTALL Recovery - v5.0.0.8
1. Download recovery v5.0.0.8 for the Sensation HERE: or Multiupload
2. Copy the PG58IMG file into the Root folder of your SD card (The main Folder of your Memory Card)
3. Turn off your phone FUlly and reboot into the Bootloader/HBOOT screen (see post above on how to get to hboot screen)
4. Press Volume up to Accept when it asks" Do you want to start the update"
5. Press Power Off to Reboot back to android after installation is successful (normal screen with homescreen)
6. Delete PG58IMG from your memory card and you can now root using step 3 below or install a custom ROM using CWM (Customs Roms are already rooted)
--------------------------------------------------
I downloaded the older 5.0.0.8 because it worked for me in the past when I rooted my old HTC sensation.
Now its saying no image even though I renamed it to PG58IMG.zip
And it still stuck on a loop. SO alls I did so far was s-off a brand new phone.
Thank you all. Phone is back to normal. I did the 1.17 firmware that kualmente mentioned. So now my phone is a stock phone but just S-off'd. The next step is to install a recovery. Do i even have to install clockwork mod or can I just put on 4EXT recovery? if so how. I was just following directions from this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
And step two says to install clockwork mod so thats what I was going to do. but I know i need 4EXT later anyway to install android revolution
I personally prefer 4ext touch recovery but basically both cwm and 4ext have same functions.
There is a nice tool to easily install 4ext recovery touch HERE
I'm all back up and running android revolution 6.5.5
Thanks for all your quick responses.

No i didnt flash the 3.32 firmware...
You flashed the firmware (otherwise you wouldn't have hboot 1.27).
Most probably you did'nt flash the rom and you are still on GB. This is why it bootloops.
Did you install a custom recovery (cwm or 4ext)? If not do it and then flash the rom from recovery

[Q] HTC Sensation Problem - HELP PLEASE!

Hello everyone- long time reader, first time poster. I have an HTC Sensation. I know this question has been asked thousands of times, and I have read through lots of posts, and tried everything I can find, but still have an issue.
My Sensation boots to the white HTC screen, and then to the "HTC - Quietly Brilliant" screen, then keeps boot-looping. Here is what I tried:
- Unlocked bootloader @ HTCDev
- Installed CWM Recovery
- Tried and failed to do a JuopunutBear S-Off
*** (After reboot, the phone was stuck @ HTC screen) ***
- Booted into CWM recovery
- Performed Superwipe
- Installed "Stock_Rooted_TMOUS_1.29.531.2" ROM
- Rebooted into fastboot, flashed boot.img (from above mentioned ROM)
- Rebooted
Now it's stuck at the "HTC - Quietly Brilliant" screen, then keeps boot-looping.
I also:
- tried to run the HTC RUU from windows, but it failed (wrong version)
- tried to run the HTC RUU from recovery (renamed ROM.zip to PG58IMG, but it failed
- tried installing various ROM's & kernels

My goal was to S-Off, Root, Unlock, and install a custom ROM. I had it rooted, but couldn't get S-Off, or use SuperCID. All I want to accomplish now is to get back to a functioning ROM. Any help would be appreciated! If someone has a different procedure, a link to a working RUU of ANY firmware that will work, or if there is something I am missing, please let me know.
Thanks!
I think your problem is the ROM you flashed is not compatible with the firmware version you have. You are only HTC Dev unlocked so you can not change your firmware version. You have Hboot 1.27.0000 so you need a ICS ROM (Android 4.0.?). Also you have to flash PG58IMG.zip files via bootloader not recovery. Last you can not Super CID because you are only HTC Dev unlocked.
Thanks for the reply! I am happy, actually ecstatic! to report I am booting again! I downloaded the firmware / ROM from this post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614617
I superwiped, flashed ROM, flashed boot.img from ADB, and it rebooted!
Thanks for the help!

you must flashing 4ext recovery from fastboot...
download this 4ext recovery.img file from here..
extract that recovery.zip file..then copied recovery.img file to the sdk\platform-tools\[this is the place of your adb.exe and fastboot.exe]
then boot your phone into bootloader and select FASTBOOT..then connect your phone to pc..until indicator in phone is "FASTBOOT-USB"
then open cmd and change source to the platform-tools folder..then run command "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"..then after finish flashing recovery.. type command "fastboot reboot-bootloader"..then you can check to select RECOVERY from bootloader to go into 4ext recovery..and if success booting to 4ext recovery...you can continued flashing a custom rom that you want...done..
if you don't have SDK yet...you can read this guide in here.., and download link for sdk already in that thread too..
hope this help..
