Guys please tell me urgent our handset motherboard how much?....indian rupees
according to me its like 4,500 inr......and i dont think it is a nice idea to buy a new one as by adding some money you can buy a new phone......my fit is dead it has no warranty and i aslo wanted to buy a new motherboard but after seeing the price i thought its a waste hence i am planning to buy a new one......and soon will leave fit forum......

dude i will sell my fit to my cousin who came to my house yesterday and garunteed he can fix that.......he is a noob and said he found a cool forum called xda and will fix it with help from that site....i didnt told about my account on xda and behaved like noob and said its impossible......he thinks its a soft brick and said he can fix it using xda and said if i dont believe him then sell your phone to me for 3000 inr and said i will regret it later.........i agreed to sell my phone to him......he is such a fool and i know its motherboard is gone and he will never be able to fix it......

Btw, he himself can give it to samsung and get it repaired...

yeah its not that bad for him after all....but i didnt wanted to spend 4,500 inr on it as i was bored with it...........but hey wait he buy fit from me for 3000 and gets it repaired for 4,500 that means he spends WOOPING(in the case of this phone) 7500 inr for this piece of crap.........

I know I messed up by not getting the 5 dollar insurance. I sure am pissed of at myself now. To make matters worse I purchased my triumph on Ebay. lol. Does any cellphone repair store deal with these phones already, I might have to check sometime this week But is there any website where maybe I can purchase a gorilla glass screen replacement. I would gladly take on the repair challenge myself. Thanks everyone! Hopefully someone can help and I would greatly appreciate it!
(Edit) A nice VM chick allowed me to get it insured, surprisingly I still had time. If anyone wants to ill open it up for sure when I receive my new one.... for science!!!
Not to rub salt in the wound but I seen a bigger screen and figured I'd be the first one to break it so I got the insurance. I got mine from Best Buy. Might be a dumb question but will VM warranty it?
I believe BB only warrants the phone usually for 30 days, I'm not to sure. Regarding VM as soon as you sign up, you often receive a text that lets you add on insurance for 5 extra dollars. GET IT!! Because as of now my best hope is to just go to a random repair shop and see if they can even fix it.

http://imgur.com/a/fMIeG Here ya go! Basically the touchscreen still functioned but about 80% of the top screen was not working at all. Then the battery died and it did not want to take a charge anymore. Basically both issues are unrelated it just so happens that Motorola really rushed this thing, and you can tell what a terrible job they did looking at the whole sub-forum. I wish I would have avoided spending 300 bucks and would have grabbed the Optimus V instead, I never hear anything bad about it. And being a college student I cant afford a 100$ monthly plan.
(EDIT) Really looking at this, I don't even know if the glass broke or if the touchscreen did. I don't feel anything on the outside. You guys are the experts, I will gladly open it up for you guys if you want. I just need to buy those tiny screwdrivers.

I thought I read somewhere that VM warrants their phones for a year, no matter where you buy them. I could be wrong, and it could be for manufacturer's defects only. I'll look for the link when I get home.

Yeah...there it is. The worst that can happen is they laugh at you...but what have you got to lose at this point? Maybe they can at least ship you a heavily discounted one...you never know.

Well if all else fails you can always try and repair it your self.
It might cost a bit since some of the newer phones are coming with the lcd and the glass as one unit...
I might be wrong and only need to purchase the glass...

I'll eventually find a way to fix it. The good thing about it being prepaid is I can stop paying anytime without penalties. Thank you so much for being a kind person and wishing me good luck!
(Ninja Edit) I just called VM and this nice chick allowed me to get it insured. I'm feeling a bit better now... (I'll claim it as lost or something)

Not true. I bricked my optimus v. So iread into the wack tech deal and it covers power surges. So i threw it into the microwave for ten seconds...150 off my new triumph! (The plans for two years btw)

I just started paying for this phone this month, she said I still had another week left actually, Had I waited more she said she would not have been able to help me.

I cant use eBay because my son got our account suspended for not paying sellers fees or something like that, Why wouldn't anybody trust me i am a 44 year old man with 3 mobiles trying to sell them because nobody uses them, What could i possibly do for people not to trust me ?

Don't buy one honestly. Not that we don't want you around, but the phone is old, and like you said, not very popular. You'd be much better off picking up something like a gnex that is a bit newer if you don't want to spend much.
The other option is to buy two broken phones. to elaborate, buy one that has a dead motherboard, which will cost next to nothing, then buy one with a broken screen or something that has a working motherboard and swap them. you can do any combo, but the point is get one broken one, then another that has what you need to fix it. often this is a great way to save a ton of money.

Well if you're like me and want an atrix 2 for how well-priced it usually is for its specs and features, then maybe you can try Amazon. That's where I got mine (used) at a reasonable price and if you have any friends/family in the States or try the UK version to have it sent to you.
Newer phones are too overrated and my Atrix 2 has been an awesome first smart phone for me so far. :thumbup: Get what you want to be happy and all the best in your search!

hello.. so im with sprint and i always have had sprint TEP insurance.. well when i got my 32 gig nexus 5 from the play store sprint said they wont let me insure my nexus 5 with them.. so im stuck using a 3 party insurance company.. i wanted to with either.. squaretrade... protect your bubble.. or mobile rhino... but i want one that insures for lost or stolen also.. just so i fell better.. and squaretrade dont so.. now im with.. either protect your bubble or mobile rhino.... has anyone had any good luck with any of these companys?? this will be a first for me.. o and i also want to make sure if i ever do need another phone that i get the same phone and not some other phone..

They are a pretty well respected company. There are some bad reviews out there, but no more than any other company. They are mentioned right up there with Squaretrade. If I recall correctly Squaretrade is only slightly more, but don't cover loss or theft. Basic google search will turn up experiences from many with all the companies
honestly I typically recommend against buying insurance for these type of devices. They depreciate very rapidly due to be the quickest moving product in the technology sector currently.
But if you must, people seem to like squaretrade.

Yeah I rather sell my Nexus 5 and pocket the money from the difference .
I'm in a reasonable position where I bought a Nexus 5 outright back in November because my GS3 had been dropped one too many times and acts very flakily. It probably only stays on for 5 minutes at a time so I registered and was happy to see the GS3 on the accepted phone list.
It's just going to sit in a drawer anyway so if I get the chance to smash it and get a new phone for a dollar then I'll take it. I doubt I'll make the list though.

lol, i just want to destroy that phone, not like i can really switch to the oneplus anyway until after i paid off more of my note 3 through sprints easy pay thing so that i can do my equipment swap since apparently you can't use previously owned equipment after you get the installment crap on the device

Seeing as I'd only get around 250 for my nexus 5 if I went the eBay & craigslist route, I'd rather not go through the trouble and just smash it for the one+1. I hour I get picked. If not then I'll have to go the long route and maybe get the 64 gig one. Either way in getting this phone! Lol

Well, it's a marketing gag, nothing more. They want to show that ppl are ready to smash flagships for their phone. There is no pride to be gained if everybody would smash their historic phones for it :laugh:.
On the other hand, some of the qualifying models really bring more on swappa than the price of that 16GB OnePlus One. The whole campaign has a touch of decadence that I don't like...
I think I will just keep my HTC One M7 as a backup and add the OnePlus One 64GB to my collection.
