Reinstall FROYO
Please flash FROYO (four package) installation. download from samfirmware and flash with the lastest ODIN from samfirmware. Check the guide on that site. Place all the files in proper links and flash it. Reboot the system. then flash Gingerbread.
it's okay you have to flash froyo 1st =D
ya flash multipackage froyo first
i had same problem try to flash phone via 4 pakage mode rather than the one package mode .... go to samfirmware nd download a firmware nd place all the four files in it in proper places nd flash ... chck out the guide to flashing in samfirmware.com..

So I was trying to root my phone and put CWM on it, but it's stuck on the samsun boot logo.
History:
Used SuperOneClick 2.3.1 and had root on my phone.
Followed the steps to copy the 3e recovery with no sig check on internal SD card.
Renamed old recovery to recovery.back.
Pasted 3e no sig check into directory and changed the attribs to match old recovery.
Rebooted phone and now it's stuck on the Samsung Logo.
Tried to boot up in recovery mode using the 3 button method, the Samsung logo keeps resetting. Tried many different times with no luck.
Downloaded GTG's Ultimate unlock but it's always stuck at this part:
Code:

Even made a usb jib, with an old cable and 300K ohm resistors, with no luck.
What else can I do to try to get this phone back up?
So, I've managed to get my phone on downloading mode using the jig. It's not getting detected by ODIN (device manage shows Unknown device).
What can I do now
Edit: so I got on a winXP pc and got it working.

However, when I go to recovery menu , I'm not seeing CWM menu & only seeing "Android System Recovery (3e)".
A friend of mine suggested my boot loader needs to be unlocked.
Reading google it seems when we switch to download mode & connect to USB on PC, using ADB command "fastboot oem unlock" it should be done.
But the command is < Waiting for a device > , I can see "adb devices" reporting valid entries when in download mode.
Any suggestions....how to get CWM working ?
My Build # IML74K.P3100DDALE1
ICS 4.0.3
Want to get it rooted to install Chainfire3D to play some games with this Tablet.
Please help!
I was just messing around with wrong recovery image....
Grab this one http://imnuts.net/JxMIGa ( 9.4MB ) used ODIN 1.85 works 100%
My Flash count is now 5.
Got CWM Recovery installed OK & SuperUser app is now showing as well.
Time to install Chainfire3D on this GT-P3100 & enjoy some quality gaming
Confirmed 100% working.
How did you root it

Are you using the original, official usb cable by Samsung that is plugged directly into your windows computer, no extension cable?

Does Odin happen to see that you are connected?
If so........ You could download the stock firmware again and try to flash again.

I've had that issue before but with a different droid. I'd try a different version of Odin, version1.85 seems popular for our device. I'm like 95% sure this is your fix
If that fails, try a different USB port.
Good luck!
Custom recovery installed?

you also have to reset the binary counter. there is an app in the play store called Triangle Away.
1. Have the device rooted and Triangle Away installed w/ su permission.
2. Run Triangle Away to reset the binary counter.
3.Power down the device.
4. re-install the stock firmware through Odin.
N900 have recieved new base (NF3) and which have new kernel, Once you use this new base, your EFS partition will get modified and you won't able to downgrade device. in fact you can downgrade but you will lose IMEI.
To keep possibility to downgrade you must have backup your EFS BEFORE flashing new base
OR
You have to use new modem on older base.
here is EFS backup tool

Thanks Dr ketan you are the best
been searching for a while and cant find a good way to reflash from custom rom back to samsung stock nougat firmware.. flashing with odin always failed
What is the fail code for odin?
you can try different odin versions ( sometime older version works) and different usb cable then odin will flash successfully.
If both failed, you can flash working custom rom than try to flash with odin.
Hope these works...
