[Q] Heeeeelp broken power button - HTC Sensation

My power button was broken and i ordered a new one.
I soldered it on and it worked but then it whent crazy the screen flickered on and off.
I had that for the replacement to.
So i tried to remove the button again and than it happened
The flat cable where you solder on the button broke off
Does anyone pleace no how to boot up the phone without the powerbutton
I ordered a new board but that could take up to 3 weeks
I want my phone back
Thanks for the help

In the play store is a app that replaces the buttons, not sure about the actual power button its self. If you can find a way to boot up, check it out. Also look around in play store
Not sure but you can possiably re assign the buttons

Yes i did that before the replacement button arrived and it worked well actually i didn't need the powerbutton any more but i want it to be fixed.
I just need to get it booting for one time.
Thanks for the thinking do

i wonder, does the sensation boot up if you connect it to AC adapter? to PC using USB cable? did you try that?
also, i once seen this on YouTube, never thought it would be useful, but who knows...

although, i have no idea "what black tape" he was talking about...
OR. through ADB, using this method

Thanks I found it to.
I searched a lot to before I posted
The black tape is over the button I think.
But that one is gone.
I tried scraping off the little peace of flat cable that is left off to get to the wires but thy are so small that when u touch them they brake.

[Q] Root for dock

Can I root my keyboard dock?
YES!
But only a on a Tuesday and if you have a B80 or later tablet. Also, the dock must be at least a B100, anything less can't be rooted at this time. When we have ICS it may be possible then.
Cool. Will I still be able to get OTA updates if my dock is rooted?
I believe you can however get an adapter for a commodore 64 cartridge and root it using a copy of Klax.
Only if you have at 8GB SD Card in the card slot, as the OTA updates will be extra large to account for you having rooted the dock. Also, watch out for the over heating dock bug that can occur after you root it.

Hey. I'm asking a legitimate question and all I get are snarky comments. Your hurting my feelings. If you don't know the answer then why even post in my thread. Your comments are not welcome here
I hate to read the last 8 comments.... I mean..... that just too much... so what is the latest info on this? anyone?
ICS leaked on my dock and shorted the circuits.
You have ICS? How come you havent made an ICS rom yet?
It melted too fast.
And that's not to mention the soggy biscuit...

I believe that is normal functionality and is how the developers are trying to achieve root on the B90 and before docks.

GFit's WIFI and BLUETOOTH won't turn on

Hi guys! Anybody here knows where to purchase or what to do about my phone?
My WIFI and BLUETOOTH won't turn on anymore. My phone was actually a FLOODED phone, and we brought it to SAMSUNG SERVICE CENTER. They did not open and cleaned the inner part of the phone (even the outer part). That's why my WIFI and BLUETOOTH thing got rust and now it won't turn on.
When I want to turn my WIFI on a message ERROR will show up.
When I turn my BLUETOOTH on nothing happens.
wrong section...
go to samsung customer care center again and be ready to pay them as mostly water damaged phones aren't covered under warranty.
it's a hardware problem and can't be solved by software upgrades.

And people like you are the reason the bootloader was locked.
I don't understand how this is even possible. Why would you think it was okay to Install a ROM over top carrier specific phone.
At the very least you could have asked to someone on the forum or created a thread if it could be done before you flashed it

It's not an answer. I'll give you an answer, OP: You flashed the wrong ROM. You are now bricked. If you want to be unbricked, send it to a JTAG service http://mobiletechvideos.mybigcommerce.com/
Next time do a little more research. Clearly you missed step 1 which is NEVER FLASH A ROM THAT ISN'T MEANT FOR YOUR PHONE.
You know you guys could just be helpful instead of being very rude.
na do it yourself.

His way isn't a USB dongle. We see this at least 5 times a week in every section for this phone. People flash the wrong ROM (usually international) and they get no life out of it. The only way people have gotten it back was having it JTAGGED.

Instructions:
1. Turn off your phone and pull out the battery for about 10-15 seconds.
2. Just put the battery back and don’t turn it on.
3. Plug the USB Jig into the micro USB port on the phone.
4. After about 2-3 seconds, you can see the yellow download mode logo on the screen.
5. Unplug the USB Jig.
6. Connect your phone with USB cable to computer and then flash your phone via the program “odin”.
I'd try taking your battery out, holding the power button for a few seconds. Then leaving the battery out for 30 min first, before buying one.. I doubt it will work, but I have came out of bricks that way (blew my mind). Still prolly should do that when using the dongle.. MOST EVERY THING can have a dongle put into it, it's what the developers use to foce hardware into manufacturing mode, developer mode, customer mode, clear mem, maint. mode.

stuck power button random rebootin software fix

OK so I'm seeing tons of posts about stuck power buttons I have this problem to and I could not fix it hardware wise so I fixed it with software apps. As it seems to happen when ever I push my power button. O also if u cant get your phone to boot up u can use the trick were u take the battery out and put it back in tell it boots up. HTC suck rocks sorry had to lol.
I use an app called tap tap app to lock and unlock my phone by tapping on the proxy sensor. There are other apps like this but this one seems to work the best. Then I use a app called quick boot everyone's probly fermillure with this one anyways this is how I get to recovery or if I need to reboot my phone.
Mods if u guys think this should go in general plz move I thought I'd post hear so ppl could see it thx.
Thanks for this. Had been looking for software solutions to get around this problem and it seems in the latest CM 10.1 nightlies the volume rocker wake option is missing.

Dude I just installed this and you just breathed life back into my phone. I laughing at how cool it is to unlock the phone with a wave over the proximity sensor. This has gotta be the way forward vs. physical / mechanical parts that can break down. Thanks again for the heads up.

Ya NP bud figured a lot a ppl were looking for some way to do this.
It uses some battery but very little
How does this work if you frequently put your phone into your pocket though?
U can set it for 2-4 swipes and how sensitive the sensor is.
I don't seem to have a problem with it waking up buy its self.

The weirdest problem.

hi guys,
i seriously think i have the weirdest problem on my nexus 5, i looked for ages for someone with that problem. and didnt find.
ever since i've replaced my screen and my battery (pretty sure it's an original one) every now and than my phone just turns off.
the weird part is, it won't turn on until i plug my phone to the charger.
i can plug it even to one second, and than i can turn my phone back on.
and it won't turn on in any other way!
I have this problem for a long time so i gathered some facts:
* it can happen regardless of how much battery i have. it can happen in 90% and it can happen in 10.% but i did found out it is more likely to happen the less battery i have.
* it happens more when i use stock apps: google search, google maps, camera...
* it happens almost always when i take a picture with the camera , especially if i use flash
* it is more likely to happen if the device is wormer (after a long heavy use...)
* it is also likely to happen if i press the "back" button a lot of times rapidly to go back to home screen
Ask lg
Have you isolated the reverse power flux coupling?

That's fine, except no one here is going to be able to tell what you did or didn't do when you opened up the device and replaced the battery and screen. There's some very sensitive circuitry in there. Could be anything. Most likely NOT software-related or other folks would be having these same issues. and they're not.
