Exact same problem
I am at the same place as this person.
I Booted into CWM Recovery 5.5.0.4 and I can't get back out. I tried wiping. I had an update.zip on my internal SD card. I've tried everything I've seen on the forums. and NOTHING. On windows I get an Unknown Device in both APX and ADB and ADB won't recognize the device. ADB works fine on all of my other android devices. I feel like i've got a 200 door stop. PLEASE HELP!
My device is a B50 TF-101 SBK1
I'll give anyone that can help me solve this $40 through paypal.
Thanks!

Download universal naked driver from easy flash thread.. unzip the drivers into a folder.. Go to device manager in your laptop and look for that unknown device and there double click on unknown device and select update/install driver.. point the installation to the unzipped folders and click update driver and this should install apx drivers and you should be good to go as that's what I did. Its very easy so take your time and do it...

Remove the apx drivers you already have and try installing them again by following these steps:
1- Boot up your transformer into apx mode.
2- Goto device manager and right click on the unrecognized device and goto update drivers.
3- Manually point them to the Folder you extracted have the universal naked drivers and install them. Scan for hardware changes
4- Hopefully your transformer will be recognized in the apx mode.
5- Download the EasyFlasher tool from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688012
6- open EasyFlasher and Choose your device SBK1 or SBK2
7- Flash a new recovery on the transformer with the tool and reboot it.
8- You will have the access to your external sd card where u have ur ROM stored.
These step did the trick on my transformer. Hopefully your problem will be solved.
Hit thanks if i have helped in any way!!

I can't thank konark500 enough. I had previously installed ClockworkMod Touch Recovery using the img file using the instructions on the Cyanogenmod Wiki. It worked, but every time I rebooted it would reboot back into flash and I would have to vol- at reboot to get it to boot to Android. Using EasyFlasher I was able to install TWRP and I am so glad I did. Everything is running better and I boot straight to Android when I need to. TWRP also has a way to wipe system. I was having strange issues with bluetooth and wifi others were not having until I wiped system and started over.
Thanks again konark500

Hi,
Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I am facing a similar issue. I installed a bad CWM recovery and since then I am not able to use my TF101. I tried to install the Naked drivers, but it does not work. I tried changing ports, but still the same issue. Please help. I am using Windows 8.1.

My guess - your TF101 cable is bad. I had a bad one but it still works with the wall wart to charge. One of the Data + or - cables is disconnected. Try a new cable is my best suggestion.

[RECOVERY][APP] 4-28 One-Click NvFlasher ClockWorkMod Touch 5.8.1.3/5.0.2.0/4.0.1.5

Objective:
Thought I would create an app to try to make it easier to flash the ClockworkMod to your phone so you can get to recovery without having to use ROM Manager. This app will also let you revert back to Stock Recovery.
Flashing the custom recovery using NvFlash is the only way to ensure that in the case your phone will not boot up, you will be able to get into recovery to fix the issue / flash a ROM / restore from nandroid backup. That is what this app will do for you.
If you flashed the ClockworkMod recovery from ROM Manager it does not flash the recovery to your phone, it fake flashed it. The only way you can gain access to ClockworkMod recovery is through ROM Manager at that point. Using this method is the only way to flash recovery so it is persistent and accessible booting to recovery.
If you have already flashed through ROM Manager you can still proceed with this method. Flash Away!
(You can use both ROM Manager CWM and have the nvflashed version working together. You just access either or one at a time, having the nvflashed one means you can boot to CWM. Welcome to Tegra2)

Nvidia NvFlash APX Driver
Unlike a lot of Android phones out there the Nvidia Tegra2 chipset require additional drivers in Windows to support low level flashing.
Install APX Windows driver from APX folder.
(Windows x86 and x64 O/S Drivers):
****If you are running VmWare kill it.****
Remove the battery.
Plug in your USB cable to your PC.
Hold Volume Up and Volume Down at the same time keeping them held down.
Plug in the USB cable to your phone. (Keep the buttons held until Windows detects a new APX device.)
Open Device Manager in Windows and you should see "APX Device" listed with an error icon.
Right click on the APX device.
Select 'Update driver software'.
Select 'Browse my computer...'.
Select 'Let me pick...'.
Select 'Have disk'.
Browse to directory you extracted the *driver* software to: One-Click-G2x-recovery-flasher-04-28-12\APX.
Accept any warnings, including the big red alert (you may need to disable UAC).
Now in Device Manager under 'USB Controllers' you should have an 'NVIDIA USB Boot-recovery driver for mobile devices'.
If not, uninstall the driver, reboot, rinse and repeat.

Flash ClockworkMod Recovery
Remove the battery.
Goto NvFlash directory and Double Click "OneClickRecoveryFlasher.exe".
Make sure the USB cable is unplugged from your phone.
Hold Volume Up and Volume Down at the same time keeping them held down. (Keep them held until you see the "S/W Upgrade" screen on your phone after you complete step7!).
Plug in the USB cable to your phone.
Click the "Flash CWM" button of your choosing. If you own a External SD card I suggest to choose version 5.0.2.0. This gives you Internal and External SD Support for ROM flashing but has External SD Nandroid Backup Support Only! If you do not own a External SD Card choose version 4.0.1.5 what has full Internal SD support for flashing ROMS and Nandroid backup.
You should see it send a bunch of files to the device and the phone screen should say "S/W Upgrade - Please wait while upgrading...". Once the files are sent and the program is finished running in the command window, you can just pull the USB cord while it still says "S/W Upgrade - Please wait while upgrading...".
Put the battery back in and you can now boot into Recovery. (see below..)

Awesome!!!! Thanks x10 man! ;D
oddities and/or errors ?
"reboot system now"
the First option in V. 3.0.2.7
powers off the device NOT reboot it
unless "reboot system now" is code for
Turn it off!
when you "reboot system now" (IE: Turn it off) with the USB plugged in
you get the the green charging screen with an oddity and/or error (o/e)
the o/e is that the Touch capacitive LED lights stay on
the only resolution is to unplug the USB till they go off OR turn on the phone
SECOND: (oops i think this is Thrid)
Holding down the Down volume key and power button to get into Recovery FAILS
if the USB is plugged into the phone
it will just keep refreshing the green battery charging icon
Boots into recovery fine if USB is not plugged in
OR plugging in the USB once IN recovery
BUT I'M NOT SURE THIS IS safe!
the last o/e is subjective BUT
seems to take a good 10-20 seconds longer to boot and recognize I'm on T-Mobiles network
it took SO Long the phone said "Emergency calls only" for about 5 seconds
this phone NEVER did that before!!!!
these o/e 's (oddities and/or errors) can't be normal and safe for my phone
can they ?
Rom Manager never caused these problems
that i get these o/e 's in a recovery program is kinda worrisome
PS:
OOPS ONE MORE O/E
because of the slow boot and not recognizing network for so long
i decided to run
"Quadrant"
i got 2686 Before flashing this recovery
NOW i get 2559
THIS is a big difference
and i have rebooted the system twice before running that benchmark
to make sure the recovery program just was not having a bad first boot, hence possibly lowering Quadrant scores
.

[TUTORIAL]How to root Alcatel 918N (HARD WAY) when Superoneclick and Unlockroot fails

NOTE: I will not be held responsible on anything that may happens to your phone... This proceedure is to DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISK!! and rooting the phone may void your warranty ..
Its better to try Superoneclick and Unlockroot procedure first before you try this!! this is just your last option when you think both fails to root your phone.
These are the steps I did to successfully root my cheap Alcatel OT-918N (white from SUN Carrier Philippines) in chronological order.
Credits should go to breakk and his team and the forum where it was posted http://www.movilesdualsim.com/foro/threads/9022-TUTORIAL-ROOTEAR-ALCATEL-OT-918-D-(Android-2-3-5) This is the 3rd procedure they suggested I just translated it.. Thanks a lot mates!!!
Download all and follow all instructions carefully:
1. Drivers MTK6516_PL-2303_para_XP, vista y win 7.rar--- http://www.mediafire.com/?32e6q4fzx7ahoeh
2. 918D system.img (pass: breakk.movilesdualsim.com)--- http://www.mediafire.com/?f4dahqmmucqha9c
3. flash tool and scatter.txt --- http://www.mediafire.com/?9w5b5h1ywseljrr
4. EXtract all downloads to a single folder that can be easily located.
5. Backup your files
6. make sure the phone is charged with enough battery then turn the phone off
7. while its off connect the phone to your PC using a USB Cable
8. An unknown device will appear instantly
9. choose to update driver manualy.Depending on the OS you have (xp, vista, 7) install the appropriate driver from STEP 1.
10. If you installed the drivers correctly UNPLUG your phone and you can now proceed to the next step
11. run "Flash_tool.exe" from the extracted files

12. click on the yellow folder button on the right that says "Scatter-loading"
13. browse for the file MT6573_Android_scatter_Alcatel_OT_918D.txt select it and click open
14. it will gives you an ERROR [WARNING HINT] JUST PROCEED and click OK
15. a list will appear, scroll down and CLICK the BOX beside "ANDROID"
16. then double click on the word "Android" and browse for the file system.img (the file you downloaded in Step 2) and open it
17. Now click the button Download in the top of the flashtool window
18. This will initiate a 15 second countdown at the bottom of the window, plug the 918N in the usb port during this countodown (the phone must be off)
19. You will see a yellow bar @ the bottom, wait until it goes reaches 100%. Once this is done there will be a message that will report that you successfully completed the process, also a green/white circle will appear in the flashtool and on the screen of your mobile the battery charging indicator will appear. UNPLUG the phone from the usb port and press the POWER. The phone will start and the Android logo will appear, now just wait a few minutes without touching anything on the phone (buttons or touchscreen), it will take some time to load the system.img. Once the screen displays the menu that asks for password the for 2 SIM cards you are ready, you have succesfully rooted the 918N!!! JUST HIT THE THANKS BUTTON

I did not continue because when I plug in my phone while powered off I see only "MTK65xx Preloader" and another unknown device. The unknown one disappears forever. I chose to manually install the driver for MTK65XX preloader thing with the mobileuncle one. When I reconnect it Windows still tries to install the driver. This might be because the drivers weren't properly installed.
I'm not risking it until this one is cleared up XD I know what to expect from the flash tool, but the driver installation in Windows is unclear (windows itself, not this tutorial)
Edit: LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL I don't know what I just did. I tried Easy Rooting Toolkit and SuperOneClick (again) and magically my phone got rooted. LOL. Dunno what happened there (other than enabling everything under "Development"). Thank you, heavens.

You can reinstall the driver again when it ask you the second time. And once the driver is not installed it will not established a connection to your phone and the flash tool will give you an error saying no device is connected. It will abort the flashing process so nothing will be flashed and all will be the same... The only thing you should be afraid of is when the yellow thing runs and you accedentally stop the process before reaching 100%. And lot of courage is needed as well. Hahaha

And the MTK65XX Preloader is the driver you need to install. When it popup dont choose search automatically, choose the other one and manually locate for the drivers youve download

Sir Jbazt_katuforzs i'm using windows 7 32bit i just can't install the preloader driver and i don't know why. Tried the exe installer and manual but still when i'm connecting it on data cable it can't find the preloader like what "kpbotbot" 's experiencing. The Manual installation is loading a modem driver for the device.

Choose the driver depending on your OS. Did the pc recognized an unknown device when you plug the phone while its off? If not the previous drivers you've installed from superoneclick and unlockroot messes the ports. Try to install it on a different pc running xp. It will only take you 5-10 mins
thanks

hi 4trackmind,
i'm interested in the new 2.3.6 kernel. can you try the steps posted here? www symbianize com/showpost.php?p=11514350&postcount=1
there are 2 sections on that page, flashing a custom recovery image and rooting by using an update. do tell us if both sections work.

Thanks a lot i was able to root my Alcatel glory!!! next stop installing a ROM
2.3.6 and Rooted..
just want to share, i successfully rooted my OT-918N from SunCellular PH with Android 2.3.6 using the following scatter.txt and recovery.img file.
the procedure is the almost the same. skipping the loading of system.img as we are only after the custom recovery to be able to install superuser and busybox.
another thing is i set the flashtool to USB Mode instead of scanning to com ports... hope you get the same results as i did.

Root the ASUS TF300T tablet without unlocking the bootloader, great!

Hi,
I've found the following link about rooting the TF300T:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1706588 ,
but I got a question, though. It looks the script needs to be installed on a Win PC, but how is the connection and setup procedure on the side of the TF300T tablet?? I am new in the Android world, so I'm not all to sure about things.
Oh, btw I forgot, I got JB 4.1.1
The method you just posted is for ICS users only. If you are on JB, you cannot successfully use it, and you must unlock your bootloader to get root.

My TF300T is already unlocked, it even shows at boot time a message saying it is unlocked.
So, would the procedure in the link in my previous message work?
If you think it would work, then what procedures and settings should I fix and follow on the side of the TF300T?

The first post in previous link has two attached ZIP packages from which one is the package with the drivers, called:
ASUS Android USB Drivers.zip - [Click for QR Code] (8.28 MB, 25376 views)
I've downloaded and extracted it on my Win7 64bit PC, but I cannot install them, there isn't any installer to install the drivers. All there is are *.inf files and when I right-click them and then click install, I get an error message.
So, could anybody tell me how to install the drivers in Win7?
Hope sparkym3 is reading this.

Tried it out but got stuck at the Win7 cmd command:
fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash recovery tf300t-jb.blob
I got an error message at that command saying cannot load tf300t-jb.blob , and indeed tf300t-jb.blob is nowhere to be found in the downloaded folders Fastboot+recovery and Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed on my Win7 PC. However in folder Fastboot+recovery/Fastboot there are the files twrp.blob, but I don't dear to run it. I figured I'll ask first where the tf300t-jb.blob has gone to? Maybe krabappel2548 could shed some light on the issue, if anyone can contact him/her.

As a newbie I'm not all too sure, so I got another question. At instruction number 7, it says:
7) Copy Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed to the internal storage of your tablet. then reboot into the bootloader again.
So I assume Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed must be a FOLDER, not a file? And where exactly should I copy that folder? In the root of my Asus JB tablet alongside the other folder like Android, .frb, Download, Music, Pictures, DCIM, .MoVend,... Or should I copy the folder Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed somewhere deeper into some other folder on the tablet?
I got a SuperSU error message saying:
"There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it.
This is a problem!"
The point is that I don't really know how to install onto my JB Asus tablet the folder Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed. Could anyone explain, step-by-step, how to install the folder once I've booted into RCK on the tablet?
Thanks in advance
Ok, here is Part 3 from the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30516010&postcount=1
== Part 3 BEGINNING - Install recovery and rooting ==
Let's start with installing the recovery
1) Download these 2 files:
- Jellybean recovery with fastboot files: Fastboot files + JB recovery
- Root files: Root Files
- You can also download the new CWM Touch recovery if you don't like TWRP: CWM Touch recovery thread
2) Extract the recovery with fastboot files zip and open a command prompt in the same folder of the adb and fastboot files (Shift + Right mouse)
3) Reboot into the bootloader of your tablet, type: adb reboot bootloader
4) When your tablet has reached the bootloader navigate with volume down to the usb icon and press volume up to confirm.
5) To flash the recovery type:
- TWRP: fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash recovery tf300t-jb.blob
- CWM: fastboot -i 0x0b05 flash recovery CWM-Touch.blob
6) A blue bar will appear and the recovery will be installed, when the blue bar is filled press volume up + power button to reboot into the tablet.
Now we will root the tablet
7) Copy Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed to the internal storage of your tablet. then reboot into the bootloader again.
8) This time you need to select the RCK icon with volume up to enter the recovery image.
9) In recovery flash Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed and reboot into the system
10) Install Supersu from Google Play
11) Open up Supersu, it will ask you to update the binary, choose yes.
12) Now your tablet should be rooted
== Part 3 END - Install recovery and rooting ==
So, I copied the folder Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed in the root directory of my tablet along side the folder TWRP.
I managed to boot into TWRP and got the screen
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_share": "Share",

}
Then I pushed the button REBOOT followed by the button SYSTEM.
Then I followed 10), 11), en 12) but my tablet does not go into root and SuperSU gives me the error in previous post. Also Superuser app does not work.
I'm not sure about if I have flashed the folder Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed properly.
Can anyhow give me some instructions how to continue from 7) onwards.
Go back into twrp recovery, and tap install, then select the superuser zip file you have on. Your internal storage.
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using xda app-developers app
I just did that. Selected Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed, which is btw a folder and not a ZIP file, and then pushed install button (very top-right on the tablet screen, looks like a square-like button), and then I got the message "Updating partition details..." which just keeps on being there with no movement nor any progress whatsoever. So what's up with my tablet???
After I tapped Install in the twrp menu, I got two panes. The left pane shows the 2 subfolders of Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed, and the pane on the right shows /sdcard/Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed at the top but the right pane itself is empty. At the very top in twrp it says Select Zip to Install. However, I do not have any ZIP. I only have the folder Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed with 2 subfolders called META-INF and system. So how should I proceed from here?
PS It is after midnight, so I am off. CU later.
The folders you just mentioned are the contents of the original superuser zip. Download the zip file from the guide, put the zip on the sdcard folder, and try twrp again. Twrp installs zip files.

Yes. Download the superuser zip using your device. Move it to /sdcard. Shut down. Start up into recovery with power button + vol down. Install.

It works!!!! Million times thanks to funnel71. The instructions in the link you've provided me earlier (see also my post #10) are a bit misleading. In 7) its says
"7) Copy Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed to the internal storage of your tablet. then reboot into the bootloader again."
But in stead of Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed (which is a folder) it should be Superuser-3.2-RC3-arm-signed.ZIP, which is a file. I got mislead and thought I had to unpack the zip file and them transfer the folders.
Now I got another problem. The reason why I needed root was for running Undelete/Recover Apps, and those I tested don't work. So I'll be opening a new thread soon.

Do you connect your Android device to your Windows PC using a data cable? That is not the case with me, my tablet is connect to my PC using the POWER cable. The power cable is plugged into the tablet and the other side of my power cable has a normal Standaard USB (2.0) Type A connector, which goes into the wall plug adapter. The power channel/port of my tablet can also carry data from and too the internal SDcard of the tablet.
I'm not sure but probably your Android device should be able to get connected to you Windows PC the same way as with my tablet.
Data and power ?
Only one cable for data (pc to device) and power(charger to device)
What do you smoke?

Follow the below approach to install the drivers on Windows 8:
1. Go to the right bottom corner of the desktop and wait for the side menu to appear. When it's there click on the gear icon with the title "Settings".
2. Now click on the entry "More PC Settings", then click on the entry "General".
4. Scroll down to "Restart now" (under "Advanced startup") and click it.
5. Wait a bit for a menu.
6. Now click "Troubleshoot", then "Advanced Options" and after that click "Windows Startup Settings".
7. Click on "Restart" and wait for the profit to happen.
When the computer restarts, select the option "Disable driver signature enforcement". After it finally booted into the operating system you can install the unsigned driver. After you've installed the driver reboot once again and you're done.

It did the same thing with my MT6577 (Wiko Cink PEAX), so I connected it with a battery and without holding VOL+. Then "MT65xx preloader" appeared in device manager then disappeared (once). It is normal that it disappears. When you start Flash_tool and when you click Download (or whatever you want to do) THEN you connect the phone (in off state), and the flash operation will succeed.

Well.
I've posted in other similar threads today but its because i really need help - running out of alternatives.
I've partially bricked my THL T200 - it is stuck in bootanimation after i removed gallery.apk from the rom using TitaniumBackup.
Already tried all those flash methods in different sequences (with battery, without battery) but my phone just connect\disconnect all the time - i can't even install the VCOM driver.
I've TWRP installed - is there any rom for this phone i can flash using this.
All i want is go back to stock.
Thanks in advance for any ideas !

[Q] Noob needs help installing KatKiss ROM

Hi there!
I am a super noob in installing custom ROMs and desperately need some help!
I have an Asus Transformer tf101 (duh), I don't have the keyboard dock. I want to install the KKKK ROM, but I have no idea how to. I know I have to wipe, boot rom, flash kernel and reboot, but I really have no idea how to. I do not have an SD card (and I don't think my tablet can take one), but there is a folder on the tablet somewhere called sdcard. So... Can you help me? I have searched through the forums but I am not sure if descriptions for other devices go for mine as well...
Concluding: I have the TF101 without the keyboard dock. It runs stock android (updated as far as I could, just checked it: Android 4.0.3). And I want to run KatKiss' KitKat ROM.
Can you help this noob installing a ROM (and not bricking the device?)? It would be very much appreciated!
Michelle
Plug the tablet into the PC > USB
Turn off your tablet
Put the Tablet into APX Mode (Volume Up & Power button)
You won't see anything on the tablet screen, but the PC should recognise it, that is the only indication that you have successfully entered APX Mode
Install APX Drivers
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514942
Run EasyFlasher
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688012
Depending on your tablet serial number you will need either SBK1 or SBK2 selection in EasyFlasher - easiest way to know if if your tablet serial starts with B4O > B6O it's SBK1, anything above that and it's SBK2 (Some B7Os are SBK1 but not many)
You need to select TWRP Recovery from EasyFlasher and flash that first
Once you have successfully flashed TWRP, you can flash any ROM you like from TWRP Recovery by booting into recovery
(Volume Down & Power until white text appears at the top of the screen, then release buttons and press volume up once)
Your TF101 does take Micro SD cards, it's a small slot on the lower right side of the tablet edge
Because you are coming from stock I would at this point suggest wiping everything from TWRP, but as you are not using a Micro SDCard, Im not 100% sure where you could store the ROM before wiping, so...
Copy the ROM & Gapps to your SDCard folder on your TF101 before wiping anything / before booting into recovery
Now boot into recovery and wipe only SYSTEM, CACHE & DALVIK CACHE
Now go to the INSTALL menu and find your KatKiss ROM & Gapps
Flash ROM then Gapps
Now back to the WIPE menu and wipe only CACHE & DALVIK CACHE
Now reboot
You should be booting into Kat Kiss now
My advice: Buy a MicroSD Card to make things much easier and have a way to recover your tablet if you accidentally wipe everything including your Custom ROM zip while you're inside recovery
Thanks so much!^^ I do have some questions still though.. (so afraid I'll brick the thing)

To install the APX drivers, I first wipe the drivers via device manager, and then install the new drivers via device manager? Which file should I click on? The zipped folder, the unzipped folder, or one of the files? (I use Windows 8.1, don't know if it matters).

I do not need to follow the “instructions for unbricking/flashing ASUS stock firmware”, right?

Depending on your tablet serial number you will need either SBK1 or SBK2 selection in EasyFlasher - easiest way to know if if your tablet serial starts with B4O > B6O it's SBK1, anything above that and it's SBK2 (Some B7Os are SBK1 but not many)

Okay, so my serial number begins with BCO, so I need SBK2, right?

Haha, that must have sounded so very dumb. I am so sorry. I use a cover for my tablet and there’s no opening for the SD in that cover, so never noticed it before, haha. Okay I have an Micro SDCard for it. So what exactly should I put on that SD? The KatKiss zips and the .zip.md5? Or the kernels? Or something else entirely? And what are/where can I find the Gapps? Are you talking about the ROM and Gapps already on the tablet or the new ones from KatKiss?

Now boot into recovery and wipe only SYSTEM, CACHE & DALVIK CACHE
Now go to the INSTALL menu and find your KatKiss ROM & Gapps
Flash ROM then Gapps
Now back to the WIPE menu and wipe only CACHE & DALVIK CACHE
Now reboot
You should be booting into Kat Kiss now

Okay, I think that will speak for itself when I arrive at that point.
Sorry for the million questions. Hope you can help me again! Thank you!!

When you have the TF connected to the PC USB and enter APX mode, it should show up in Device Manager as ! unknown device or something similar, extract the zip of the Universal drivers and update the ! entry in device manager manually by pointing it to the drivers you extracted earlier - it should install the correct driver for you

No, just choose SBK2 and Flash TWRP recovery
Here is EasyFlasher with the latest version of TWRP recovery 2.3.2.3 included, it will save you having to update your TWRP later

Great, yes now you can copy the ROM & Gapps zip files to the Micro SD Card, and once you are inside of TWRP recovery you can now wipe SYSTEM, CACHE, DALVIK CACHE, DATA, INTERNAL STORAGE etc etc (Everything apart from External Storage which is your MicroSD Card) if you do not want to keep anything at all on the TF101 and just start a fresh with KatKiss

Don't know where you got that ROM from, but it's not named the same as the actual ROM from the main page
This is the ROM you want
http://downloads.timduru.org/android/tf101/K.A.T/KatKiss/4.4/dev/KatKiss-4.4.2_018.zip
See how yours is called KatKiss-4.4.2_2018.zip
Actual ROM doesn't have that 2
KatKiss-4.4.2_018.zip
Another Guide for you
Hi
Frederuco also did quite a good guide HERE
It might help you too.
Okay, thanks. So I'm doing this, but can't seem to boot into TWRP... APX, EasyFlash all went great, but when I try to boot into TWRP (Vol Down+Power and when text comes vol up) it just boots into my tablet (you know, asus, android, but no TWRP).
Am I doing something wrong? Or should I press earlier or later on the vol up?
Detection: My bad that was a typo, i actually have downloaded the good version but it seems that the md5 is not correct.
I already wipe the system and havent a microSD card yet. So i can't change the file on the /sdcard. But i have a SD that the dock can read. And also 2 USB. But it is possible to use them in TWRP ? With a mount command or something ? Otherwise i will buy a microSD...
MichelleChristiana92: When the text come up, you have only 5s to press VOL_UP

You have 5 seconds from the time the white text appears to press Vol Up or it will just boot to the ROM

You could use ADB in TWRP and push the new ROM to the TF via ADB commands
Put ROM in same folder as adb command is being run from on the PC
So if ROM is on C:\ROM, make sure Command Prompt is like this:
C:\ROM> adb push nameofROM.zip /sdcard/
Hit Enter
That should copy the ROM to the TF internal sdcard
Thank you for help.
But actually adb does not found my device :/
Is there something to configure ?

Check Device manager and install these drivers
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514942
Or use Ubuntu, once you install the adb tools you should have no problems connecting to the TF using ADB - I use VMWare Ubuntu install for that
Hmm.. I press the vol up as fast as I can, but every time when I press it it goes to that second text screen with "OS will cold boot to stock linux, you have ten seconds to press vol up or vol down for..." or something like that.. I don't even think I have 5 seconds. When I press it it immediately goes to that second text screen, and then just boots.
Will try again tomorrow, if you know anything please let me know (but its probably just me though

Try using EasyFlasher to Root your TF, and then install this App, it will let you press it to reboot into recovery
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.transformer.recovery&hl=en
It sounds like the TWRP install didn't work though, but could be wrong
Also, if you manage to root it, you could flash TWRP using GooManager
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.s0up.goomanager&hl=en
GooManager > 3 dots menu button top right > "Install OpenRecoveryScript"
But you need to be rooted for either of those options to work
As you can see in the attachment below, i already have APX Driver installed.
But abd devices does not recognize my device when i boot my tablet in the APX mod.
When i boot in TWRP, the device appear as USB MTP device but adb still not find it...

Yea Windows & APX don't play nice together from my experience
Install Ubuntu somewhere and use that instead, I use VMWare, I guess VMPlayer will work too if it can see USB devices, and it's free
https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/free#desktop_end_user_computing/vmware_player/6_0
Or boot your PC on a Live Ubuntu DVD / Flashdrive and do it from that
Thank you! I am on KitKat now!
I downloaded and installed EasyFlasher again, from a few diffrent sources, and one of them worked and I rebooted into TWRP! Everything went smooth after that and am on KitKat now!
Thanks so much!
Cheers,
Michelle

Great!
Remember to update your TWRP to 2.3.2.3 using Goo Manager from Google Play if it is an older version you managed to flash in the end
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...omanager&hl=en
Open GooManager > 3 dots menu button top right > "Install OpenRecoveryScript"
Hi,
Finally i used a microSD card and its works.
Thank you Detection for your help !
Its really really smooth, pretty impressive for a TF101
:good: Pleased you got it working in the end
Yea KatKiss is very smooth indeed, brings new life to our old tablets
