yep, I have no idea if it's possible or not but it would be superb if you could make this as a add-on or plug-in or something to the select text prompt menu, I mean in a way that it doesn't need a separate browser & could work on any browser when selecting a text or something

Yes... but its not possible. It is in fact not even possible to share anything with a widget picker.
Just copy and paste the urls. This app isnt meant to be used on a daily basis to make hundreds of widgets.

I just jecked and it works perfectly on all devices in the office. Most likely you changed the title text color rather than the text color (and had no title).

[APP] Wallpaper Changer

I made this little app called Wallpaper Changer which comes with a widget to let you change your wallpaper with one click.
Simply add the wallpapers to a "rotation list" in the app and then you can rotate through your list with a single click on the widget. Additionally, you can also activate a timer which automatically changes your background image on a predefined time interval. You can also chose to enable the timer only when connected to an external power supply, though I haven't felt a significant battery drain with an interval of 30 mins yet.
If you don't use the timer, then there's no background service running or something, so it shouldn't affect your battery or performence in any way. Therefore it might take some seconds to actually change the wallpaper as the images are loaded only on demand.

This looks cool. I was thinking about something like this today. I'll check it out. Maybe you could add an option to change the wallpaper everytime you lock or unlock the phone.
thanks for the suggestion, i will implement it in the upcoming release
Looks good & promising Nice job

+1 for "Add folder" feature
ok, convinced i'll look into that...
edit: done. click 'add wallpaper', then select an image in the folder you'd like to add. the app will now ask you if you want to add just the selected image or the whole folder
thank you
updated and tested on Wallpapers folder, added all 50 pics. thank you so much j4velin
I am so getting this. Thanks bud.
Can you make it so if it is set to "0" it doesn't change the wallpaper automatically (for if you do the lock/unlock)
Can you make it so it changes on phone lock so you don't see it change; when you unlock it's already a new wp?
if you uncheck "enable on boot" and never press "start rotation" then it shouldn't change your wallpaper automatically but just on widget click or on unlock (if you enabled "change on unlock").
changing the wallpaper before the unlock is a bit more complicated as the app has to change the wallpaper on screen off then. and to get screen off broadcasts, the app has to run all the time - which might drain more battery
Nice app, I'm digging the widget!
I get force closes when I add a folder (maybe it's because it has too many pics in it - about 700..)
After adding the folder I also get force closes when I go into the app.

yeah, that's because the app runs out of memory when loading preview images for 700 files
i haven't though that someone would like to add that many images... i guess i have to split the previews in diffrent "pages" to fix that. be patient

well, you seem to like changes ^^

Why don´t you just put an option to completely disable preview? I already know the images that are in the folder.
EDIT: Loaded a folder with 696 images without problems, set to change on unlock. Change takes 3-4 seconds after unlock, but I guess that´s normal. Gonna try later with a 2000+ images folder. Thanks.
omg you don't want to see any wallpaper twice, do you?^^
Great! I'm looking for something like this but for the lockscreen wallpaper, maybe its posible to add this feature to the to-do list?

Removed 'last updated' from Asus Weather Widget (root not required)

I was a bit annoyed by the addition of the "last updated" line in the Asus Weather widget included in the 3.2 update. I thought it was ugly and provided a bit too much information to the widget. Since there wasn't an option to switch it off, I disabled it from being displayed. I also edited the widget layout files to create another version with smaller text. A screenshot is attached that shows the original (top) and the modified (bottom) Weather widgets. The second screenshot shows the original (top), modified (bottom left), and modified & resized (bottom right).
Root access is not required as the modified Weather widget is not a system application and can coexist with the original Weather widget. The ModWeather.apk installs like any other application and does not replace the original Weather widget. After installing the widget, I found a reboot necessary to get the widget to appear in the list.
I have received confirmation that it works without root.
Update: I received reports of these modified widgets not working for some. Upon investigation, I believe I found the source of the problem and have corrected it. I also rebuilt the modified widgets using the stock widget from a system dump of build 8.6.15.13. If you installed these modified widgets prior to October 7th 2011, you may want to install the updated version(s). I updated the version number to 1.0.2 to facilitate upgrading from the previous 1.0 version.
Update 2: With the release of ICS, Asus included the ability to resize the Weather widget to 1x1, 4x3, or 4x4. The 4x4 variant includes a daily forecast. I have been working on a resized variant w/ the 'last updated' text removed. While it is still a work in progress, the latest revision can be found here.
Feel free to let me know whether it works or not for you and don't be afraid to press that little thanks button below.
--------
There have been several inquiries related to the battery widget in the screenshots. It is actually a widget that I created for my own use and has nowhere near the features of some of the other offerings. My Transformer is my first real exposure to Android, so I wanted to write my own to get a better understanding of Android application development. I also wanted to use images that complemented the Asus Weather and Date widgets. I am providing this widget as is and cannot guarantee any further development and/or improvements. However, feedback is always appreciated.
Battery widget updated to version 1.1.0 on August 16th 2011.

OP, I have been waiting for something that allows me to re-size this widget since the first time I saw it. I downloaded both apks but for some reason neither of them allows me to click install. I can scroll the list of permissions, I can click the "more" button and I can click the "cancel" button. I just can't click "install". Any ideas on what may be causing that?
I am not rooted, btw. Hopefully I can get this to work for me. Thanks.

Re: [APP][2.3+] Listener 1beta2 launcher (updated jan.27)
Are you still updating this app? Pretty cool idea and UI. Suggestions:
1) Add Google+, Twitter, and Instagram feeds. (The app says their is twitter, but I can not enable it. Can you make it use falcon pro, the twitter client app)
2) YouTube subscriptions. We add our account and then our YouTube feed comes up in your app. Whenever there is a video in our feed, show the title, who uploaded it, and the video thumbnail. If getting the video thumbnail is hard or impossible, you could just make the picture that comes up with the video be the YouTubers account picture. Also, not asking for it to show an actual video, just the thumbnail and text. Not the description either, it would be too cluttered.
3) Adw icon themes for the app drawer.
Love this app, wish it could be my main launcher but too much force close.
Cheers!

Hi there!
Check out my new app
Google Play ID
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fossor.wheellauncher
Wheel Launcher is a side panel that sits on top of everything on your device. Wheel Launcher does not interfere with your main launcher, but provides a fast way to reach your favorite apps and shortcuts - just press the semitransparent icon. You can hide the icon by dragging it off the screen. Wheel Launcher allows you to add any shortcut that is provided by your apps, like direct dial any of your contacts or settings shortcut, like battery, sound, Wi-Fi and so on.
Wheel Launcher is in early stages of it's development, so if you have anything to ask, suggest or if you found a bug - do not hesitate to drop me an email.
Features
• Fancy circle design
• Basic shortcuts to some common apps - dial, gallery, email, messaging, camera, drawer
• Support for any app on your device
• Support for any shortcut on your device
• Theme support, not much at this point, but there will be more
• Left/Right sided
I will appreciate, if someone with 4.3 - 4.4 can send me a crash report. :fingers-crossed: Those emulators can't be trusted.

Ok since you mentioned 17 MB I gave it another try. And yes without any theme on it's 16/17 MB on xhdpi. Last night I used it with the black theme on so it spiked to 30 MB.
And I already have a Sidebar which takes around 15MB and it serves me well.. So don't get me wrong your app is beautiful and very cool, but I hate the memory constrains I have to deal with
But I'm glad I helped you fix a bug with the log.
Hope people love your app like I did. Regards
It's not crashing on 4.4.2 for me. Great job!
Made some bug fixes and new theme available:

Two major updates
1. Added a new white theme.
2. You can now change the position of an item on the main wheel and inside folders
Suggestions
First, just wanted to say that I really like the look of this. Running this on AICP 4.4.2 on a HTC One. Couple of quick suggestions/questions: First, is there a way to turn this on/off and/or a setting to enable on boot? Is there a way to change the position/size of the trigger area?
On a side note, I've used an app called circle launcher (pretty much since it was first released) as a widget on my homescreen to launch my most used apps (about 15 or so). I've really like this because with the launcher icon being transparent, it provides an easy way to launch apps without messing with my layout (no matter what layout i'm using). Have you considered creating this as a widget and/or being able to launch this as a short cut? I could see maybe using this as a custom nav bar button or something similar.

Hi there, thanx and I glad you like it. You can hide the icon by dragging it off screen or by pressing "hide" button on the notification (the app will return when you unlock the device or press "show"). Currently there is no autostart after boot, but it is on the to do list. There is no size changes on the trigger area, but you can change the position by dragging it up or down (it is always floating) and/or by changing side (left or right)
As for a fully transparent trigger area - I saw a lot of feedback (on other similar apps) when users wanted to have a visual representation of this area, so I made it with a flag icon. If there will be more requests to make trigger area fully transparent, perhaps i will add this option too.
And here is some video:

New update on both versions:
You can now change icons on a main wheel. Supports most of the icon packs.
Another update:
Trigger now can be set as a rectangular shape in addition to the icon. It can be of any size, color and opacity, up to fully transparent.

[WIDGET][8.0+] Agenda Widget 1.0.1

This is a newly published app but I'm using it since 2017. I'm sharing it in the hope that some people might find it useful (it's completely free)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=gr.ictpro.jsalatas.agendawidget
Highly customizable Widget that combines calendar events and tasks in a compact and minimalistic way.
It can connect to android's calendar system and to the following task providers
- Open Tasks (compatible with owncloud's and nextcloud's task apps)
- Astrid Clone
- GTasks
Source Code is available under MIT License. Forking and relisencing is highly recommended, although pull requests are also welcomed.

I would highly appreciate any comments and/or feedback!
Hi, by "Gtasks" you mean the app named "Gtasks" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.dayup.gtask
or do you mean Google Tasks API?

@jsalatas, would it be possible to add a feature to assign text colour to a calendar?
Right now the widget uses the colours set in google calendar for the indicator bar at the beginning of every line. Would it be possible to use this colour for the text also?
Or to manually assign colours rather than using the colours from google?
Thank you very much!

Yeah! Actually I didn't though of it because I use my own cloud server and I control the calendar and tasks colors from there!
Anyway... I have opened an issue at github about it, but I honestly don't know when I'll do it :\

Cool!
I'm looking forward to it. But no rush. Just happy I found your plugin.

Wiuld be pretty cool as I cannot find any good transparent month widgets .

Um, not sure what that it would like. Is it possible to some how sketch it? :\
In any case I don't think that I have time for this right now but f I had some kind of description/sketch/whatever on how it may look like, I could add an issue in github for whenever I find some time.
