but has anyone found the 'Parrot' case in the UK?!
hi all.
i'm looking for the real one, the original, the authentic one.
i already tried on ebay but they all are, at best, just close to the original quality...
i contacted htc europe and htc america but both said they don't know anything about the pouch
i finally read google forums but we all know that it is not so easy to get a google answer...
sorry but... who built it?
sources and links are appreciated,
thanks...

well, lucky man.
i wrote the htc support via their website form but... nothing to do.
these are two of their answers:
I will be more than happy to assist you with this issue. What I can suggest for you to do is Contact our Accessories Line at 1-888-716-3594 as well as going to the website shopamerica.htc.com and also htcdepot.com to furhter your search on the right case as these are both great accessories sites. I hope this information proves helpful and resolves your inquiry regarding finding a case on your phone. Please feel free to contact us again if you have any further questions.

Thank you for your prompt response. Unfortunately, HTC does not manufacture any accessories for our devices. They are all made by third party companies. Therefore, we have no way of knowing exactly which neoprene case you are referring to or who makes it. You would need to know the manufacturer of that case and check their site to see if it is still in production. However, here are some additional sites that you can check. Your best option might be the Amazon link as they have the largest number of resellers linked to their site. Shop America - http://www.shopamerica.htc.com/homebrands/index.htm Amazon.com - http://www.amazon.com/cell-phones-s...b/181-6435952-2642542?ie=UTF8&node=2335752011 Expansys - http://www.expansys-usa.com/ HTC Depot - http://www.htcdepot.com/ DayDeal - http://www.daydeal.com/home.php?cat=5452 NOTE : We do not recommend purchasing accessories from online auction sites, or little known resellers outside of the US and Canada. We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause you, and we hope that you are able to locate the case you need from one of these sites. As always, we are here to answer any technical questions or concerns you may have between 6am to 1am EDST, 7 days a week for your convenience, or by phone at 1-866-449-8358.

When I was still under the 1 year warranty that comes for free from HTC, i called inquiring about my phone. I then asked if they sold oem headphones & pouch, he replied with they're covered too. He sent me new pair of headphones and pouch.

well, i would also be willing to pay for it...
I called HTC in the first week of January 2011 and managed to get a new battery cover and battery just as my warranty expired. But they claimed they were totally out of pouches and redirected me to the accessories phone line and web site. The original pouch is not on that site. My pouch is getting seriously shredded up... so sad.
People actually use those?
I think I put my phone in it on day 1, put the pouch back in the box and never looked at it again.
I just tried the 1 888 216 4736 line (which BTW has been taken down from HTC's site) and went to the warranty department. I explained that I was looking for this specific accessory which did not seem to be on sale anywhere, and which came in the box with my now out-of-warranty phone.
She put me on hold for a little while, and eventually did say that the pouch was available to be sent out as a replacement. I was willing to pay for it due to my warranty being over, but she said that didn't seem to come up on any of the screens she saw. So now I have an order number and a replacement is supposed to arrive. I'll let you know if it ever shows up!
I wonder if it's stretchy enough that it'd fit over an HTC Sensation with some coaxing.

Lol yeah I can see why... its a bit geeky to say the least and can be a bit annoying to use.
On the other hand I DO use my everyday since I got the phone (only got my N1 this January though (a bit outdated then I know)) and its brilliant! Keeps the phone really well protected from drops and scratching! Honestly if you still have yours and don't use another case anyway I would highly recommend using it!
I use mine more now than I ever have. I've had two otterbox cases break on me and I don't feel like dishing out the money to buy a new one, so I've just been using the pouch that came with the phone.
Here's one I found on eBay...
http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Original-Ne...ccessories&hash=item3363efd4b5#ht_2248wt_1163
Mine has never been out of the box, but I might be tempted to sell it if they're going for $100!
My replacement arrived from HTC! The part number on the packing slip is 70H00221-00M, for what it's worth.

interesting, via email they don't know what we are asking about and via phone they send it for free!
is there any plausible explanation?
Hello,
So I am thinking about getting a G2. Thing is I love otterbox. They are so lovely. I have one on my 9900 right now (yea I know, its a blackberry.. flame me..)
I have found evidence (more evidence) of an ancient myth- that there was production of the otterbox for the G2/Desire Z. Problem is looks like they are a commodity right now. I found one on ebay (for $99- no thanks) and amazon has none in stock. I couldnt find any on craigslist. Any other ideas or successful vendors you G2's users have used (pun) ?
Or better yet, anyone want to sell me theirs?
Thx.
Whoa, those prices are ridiculous. I am currently typing this on my Otterbox Commuter covered G2 and it is indeed awesome, unfortunately I won't be departing for a new device for quite some time...
Your best bet will definitely be getting one off of an owner who has or will be moving on soon. Best of luck good sir.

I agree the cover is great but the front is weak. They have stopped making the covers so that's why the prices are high.
I am currently using the otterbox back and a case mate front. (Case mate had a weak back).

Truth. I finally got one and its probably my favorite thing about my G2 (lol). I love this case, its so perfect. I finally hunted one down after sketchy site after sketchy site was out of stock (thanks paypal for the refunds).
I bought on here and actually bought one at the same time on ebay; just in case, because these cases are rarer than diamonds. Go otterbox!
I do like how the majority of the Otterbox cases on eBay have the exact same picture... it makes me feel very safe buying from them (sarcasm)

Hey guys, I'm probably going to sell my Blaze 4G, one of my friends is selling me his HTC One S for a great price so I'm thinking I'll jump on that..
Bought the Blaze shortly after it was released, no scratches on the screen since it has a screen protector. A couple scratches on the phone itself, which forced me to get a case (D3O durable rubbery case). Has all accessories, box, etc.
Would $200 or so be a fair price for my Blaze 4G? I'll probably try selling locally before selling online
Please ask around here for a Developer, I think one was looking to buy one. Should sell to him. I believe Erik knows.
I got $300 first person to call me for it. But I got lucky. I think in good shape 250 isn't unreasonable whether people like it or not it's a fair price for what it is.

Well if there's a dev here (or anyone else for that matter) that is interested, contact me and we can work something out, either directly or through a middle-man like eBay or overclock.net where I can prove my authenticity :good:

Not sure if I'm allowed to advertise, but I have created a thread over at overclock.net

Can't review it yet, but there's some reviews on youtube. I didn't wanted the hard TPU type so I went for this one. Anyway you have a lot of cases in that website, and all from UK.

Grizzle34: The one that I bought in ebay was this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271122627...eName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 which has finished already but try to contact the seller because he sells a lot of this type of cases and he will probably add a new ad soon. And it's cheaper than mobilefun
(If I somehow helped you please press the Thank you button)
I've been in contact with Capdase who I've used for both my Galaxy S2 and HD2 previously as liked their case that much and they replied today to say the Nexus 4 will get their Softjacket case as it's in production and should be released mid to end of Jan. Happy days
This is the one for the Galaxy Nexus so you can see kind of what it looks like. Best case I used and will definitely be buying it again. Mobilefun stocked them for both my last phones so think they'll probably do them again and IIRC was about £13.
Hope it's of some use as don't want to start a new thread just to say they're coming out.

When ordered it was listed as 'FlexiShield Skin For Google LG Nexus 4 - Black' there wasn't the option of Smoke or Clear.
So, I've got the smoke version which means you CANT see the back effect. No idea about the clear one.

You'll want a ballistic case, you could bounce your phone off a wall with one of those on. There doesn't seem to be any available yet though. I'm a joiner and would usually use something like that myself but I got my N4 insured so I'm not too worried, just stuck a Best Skins Ever full body skin on it.
OK thanks I will look ballistic up. Yeah my last phone survived alright but my nexus is the 1st phone I've paid for outright and I wanna keep it "new" for as long as possible. I don't think a skin would offer enough protection for me really.
