[I posted to international One X section earlier and they asked me to post here]
I'm going to buy a slightly used LTE One X tomorrow from a craigslist ad and I'm quite excited about it. However, I have once been scammed couple of years ago by buying a water-damaged phone.
Can someone here please tell me where exactly to look for the water damage indicator? It's unibody so checking battery will not be possible. I tried to search the forums/google but couldn't find anything about HTC One X there. Also, I'll appreciate if someone can share any other tip on buying a used phone.
Its not by the USB, so I would guess its either on the bottom of the headphone jack or in the Sim slot. I don't have a flashlight to check but those would be the only 2 places I could see it located.
I think it is at the top of the sim slot if you take the card out. I didn't see anything in the headphone port.

My ex dropped her iPhone in the toilet 2 weeks after getting it for her birthday and I just painted the water sensors back white and sent it in. Worked

The Only problem is that it will be "difficult" to reach the indicator in the sim card.

Was first in line and went through an over 1 hour hassle getting my phone. In the middle I said I liked those t-shirts you guys have. The rep said they had an extra one and gave it to me free. This shirt is made by American Apparel. Real soft and comfy.

the back image looks like it could be confused for gatorade haha, but nice score.
All the reps had them. These are long sleeves.
really... wow, I just walked into my verizon store here, asked for the TB and was out within 10 minutes, no line or anything. I got the 4G LTE (front) Rule The Air (back) long sleeve shirt.

Yeah, I had no problems, think I was the third in my store and it was just standard time to switch the phone over. Had a brief issue w/logging into my google account, but I may have been typing something wrong. I would say I was in there less than a 1/2 hour even w/the wait time.
I asked if they had any extras and was told no, even though there was a pile of them on the sales desk..
I was there and your, and left with it unactivated...

I remember i saw some replacement on brandoshop, but you're better off sending it for repair, disassembly of a modern phone isn't complicated nowadays, but reassembly is a real pain, i can assure you...
i wonder how much it would cost to get a new front casing?
Take a look at this. There are others a lot more expensive, and HTC do one for about £40. I've seen them going for on average £20 but the one on the link is the cheapest I've seen.
I just replaced the housing, digitizer and buttons on mine.. to all black.
Looks like a totally different phone.

Hey guys, I really need help because I have no idea what to do right now.
A chunk of the microusb slot chipped off and now my phone looks really bad :O
Is there any case that covers this up (ie those $1-2 silicone cases on eBay)? Or is there anywhere I can buy a cheap replacement housing set to fix it?
Here's a picture...

Well, when I bought the phone off my sister, there used to be a crack around that area, so I just ignored it. Today, I took it out of its leather pouch and found that the part was missing
Anyways, thanks for the help. this'll do the trick right?

Yup, just like mine. They can be a pain when pulling it out of your pocket (sticky/rubbery) but I dont put my phone in my pocket.

Awesome. I purchase a blue silicone one for $2.30 off eBay. I hope it'll cover it up because right now if feels like I have OCD (I was thinking that I should sell my captivate on craigslist just because of this little chipped off piece of plastic lol).
Thanks for you help
Just got my One SV back from the repairs as the sides of the screen were up and bumpy, it says they changed the screen and its not that up anymore, but I can still push down the middle sides of the screen. Is it a design flaw or just dodgy repair work?

I think a "dodgy repair work". I've heard one time of that and the one got a new One SV from his dealer.

Any chance you could take a pic of yours from the side if they decide to play hardball?

@OneMobilnik
I send you some pics in pm.
Thanks dude, mine looks the same.
I received a "t-mobile replacement" for my "insurance refurbished Note 5" . Look at the differences. The one on the right is either an old hardware revision or a bad refurbished.

The CPO (certified preowned) I bought is the newer style with FCC stuff on the bottom back.

i see a Note 5 that had the back glass replaced. The picture of the lense - idk what I'm looking at. Be specific when you post stuff like this. It looks dirty either inside or outside but idk what is going on.
Why did you use your insurance?
Tmobile is good at many things; refurbishment isn't one of them. They send I my self and a friend of mine have both received refurbished devices that should not have been able to pass quality control with even a cursory inspection.
Samsung did make a change on the S-Pen piece that was getting broken when you inserted it in backwards.

They didn't have my previous phone so they sent the N5 instead. Yeah, the lense is dirty inside. T-mobile replaced it with no question asked.
