Are you rooted? Also it would seem like you already have supercid. Since you don't match the two cids it says.

Yes I am rooted. How would I check for Super CID?
If I already have supercid, what would be my next step?
Just checked the bootloader and it still says locked.
Thanks

You could try to do bootloader unlock. If it works you do if it doesn't you don't. Not sure how to check.

I had a similar problem. I ended up patching the file manually. My CID was showing correctly CWS__001 starting at offset 214 so not sure what the issue was. To check if you have changed the CID try
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
wait for reboot then
Code:
fastboot oem readcid
It should read 11111111. If it does you can try
Code:
fastboot oem get_identifier_token
Leave the command prompt open and copy the text. You can find the exact instructions at htcdev.com in the unlock bootloader section by selecting other supported devices.

If you're on Windows you should download HTC Sync which will install the USB drivers for the phone. Then, uninstall HTC Sync which will still leave the USB drivers on your computer. Then download the Android SDK from here. Once you have that running you want to install "Android SDK Platform-tools" which should be near the top. Now you should be ready to run the commands, just open a command prompt and navigate to the directory the platform-tools were installed to.
On a side note, you can also check your CID by downloading CID Getter from the Play Store

Shweeeet ! Will try tonight and keep ya posted.

Since I am not familiar with SDK, is there a cheat sheet available? I have no idea where to start and how to fire this thing up.
Thanks

Thanks to all ! I had a Brain Fart. Completely overlooked the fact this is Linux until I saw the commands. Duh !

unlock bootloader
I'm having issues unlocking my bootloader. I go through all the steps, get to the end and cmd prompt says its sending unlock token (0 kb)... It will not go any farther than this. I have to then manually reboot. What am I doing wrong? I've searched the forums and cannot find an answer. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Any ideas?

[Q] There may be no solution to what I've done.

Hello everyone. I've been following XDA since I first laid hands on a Nexus One. Thanks to all of you, I've been able to hack, mod, customize, etc. with only a few close calls. My ATT One X has proven to be a little more tricky and unforgiving. Long story short, I'm stuck in fast boot with an incorrectly changed CID (HTC_621) and a relocked bootloader. I was hoping to get another unlock token from HTC but I think they've abandoned the link. My only other hope was to edit the CID of the "android-info" file in the rom.zip of the RUU, but WinRAR says corrupt archive error when I change the text file. WinZIP won't even open the package--says its invalid. Bottom line, I've exhausted all resources as far as recovering from bad flashes and boot loop. My problem is that damn CID. Any bright ideas guys?
Official ROM zips are signed.
The signature makes the zip non standard so some apps wont open them and most everything else will not modify the file.
Even if you could modify you would make the signature invalid so it would not flash unless you had s-off.
By "Abandoned link" do you mean HTC will not send you an unlock token because the CID is invalid?
Have you tried your previous unlock token?
Without getting a valid unlock token I am unsure if what you can do.
Just out of curiosity, what were you trying to do exactly and what CID is that?
he was probably trying to flash the international jelly bean =)

It's an Endeavour CID for HTC Asia in Taiwan. And we wonder why HTC locks bootloaders and write-protects system partitions.
To the OP: This would not have worked anyway because you were trying to install software for a completely different phone.
Your original unlock token should still work. Trying unplugging and powering off your phone, rebooting your computer, and try flashing it again.
I thought unlock tokens were locked to the current CID?
If you change CID you need a new unlock token?
That is how my phone worked

It's worth a shot. If it doesn't work, I don't see any way out. He can't run the RUU, he can't boot up, and he can't unlock. There might be some low-level fix via Linux. Try the unbricking Evita thread.

Unlock bootloader/S-OFF HTC Sensation can't get it done!

Hey Folks,
This is my first post in the Sensation forums, i've been reading topics for a few days, but I didn't find any solution to my problem and i'm starting to get annoyed by it.
I've obtained a HTC Sensation a few days ago, and as with my previous devices (Galaxy Gio, Optimus Black) I wanted to flash a custom rom on it. I happened to unlock the bootloader of my friends Sensation few weeks earlier, so i thought this was going to be a piece of cake.
Well it wasn't, I couldn't unlock the bootloader using HTCdev method because the phone is vodafone branded. I tried numerous things, i wasn't able to perform the juopeanutbro (?) trick, tried flashing a custom hboot through fastboot (JB_hboot.zip) in linux (gave me an error 42 "Remote: Custom id check failed" or something like that). And after a few days of trying and trying i'm getting tired of it.
So my question is, is there any option i missed to achieve S-OFF or unlock bootloader? I'd love to flash a custom rom on it because I don't like the 4.0.3 Firmware which the phone is running now.
Phone Details:
Android version: 4.0.3 (vodafone)
HBOOT:1.27.0000
Radio: 11.29A.3504.18_M
CID:VODAPE17

If htc Dev method doesn't work for your phone, use the non htc Dev method. Follow everything on the screen, do not run out of battery power (that will probably brick your phone)
Yes I did select the vodafone model, and I end up with the "failed" error when flashing unlock_code.bin. I don't understand why the HTCdev method doesn't work in the first place. And the method described by stillsober requires the almost impossible wire-trick.. Well i'm afraid there is no other method..

has your motherboard been replaced?
what error did you have?
It's not that impossible, I did it in like 10 tries, there are YouTube videos timed exactly so you know when to connect and disconnect the wire. plus you can try as many time as it takes so you really can't go wrong... You know both method require the insulated wire right? It's just one requires the more accurate timing
Well I've somehow managed to achieve S-OFF!!!!!! This is my fastboot screen:
h t t p://i43.tinypic.com/2wgubtj.jpg
I read in a guide somewhere on the forum that when having S-OFF flashing a custom recovery would be possible, and writing supercid too, well the first thing failed (again...) but I did manage to write supercid. This is my command prompt screen:
h t t p://i39.tinypic.com/2uqzkna.jpg
So what do I have to do now??

what does it say in the top?
juopunutbear or locked?
also i can't view the pics
can you post here in a post?
Well on the picture it says ***Locked*** and you can just paste the link in your browser without the h t t p://, because i can't include links in my posts as I have lest than 10 posts submitted.
But I actually have solved all my problems, because I knew juopeanutbear had unlocked bootloaders available on his website and in fastboot you are possible to flash these with the command "fastboot oem rebootRUU" wich put the device in RUU update mode, and then flash the unlocked HBOOT from juopeanutbear's website with the command "fastboot flash zip jb_hboot.zip.
Note (to people who might find this useful in the future): The devices sticked on showing a green loading bar in RUU update mode after entering the second command, on the command prompt it showed done, but the device didn't reboot or what. Just wait a while (to be sure) and enter command "fastboot reboot-bootloader"
Now my fastboot screen shows **Juopeanutbear** instead of ***locked*** and I've already managed to flash clockworkmod SUCCESFULLY!!!!!!!
Now I will replace CWM by 4ext and i'm good to go I guess, how I managed to get S-off will remain a secret for me, I assume I did do the wire-trick correctly after all, but didn't notice (you know,, spending a few nights behind your PC doesn't give you a clear state of mind

HTC One X Bootloader

I've tried to unlock the bootloader for my HTC One X multiple times but every time it's failed, I keep getting the same error on HTC Dev
"We're sorry, but it appears your attempt to unlock the bootloader on this device has failed. This could be caused by several factors including simple errors in the entry of the unlock token, problems with your device, or a lack of manufacturer support for the unlocking process. Please see the specific error code listed below, and try again if necessary.

There's no method for your specific firmware, the last known method might work though. Here it is:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2285086
Give that a try. If it doesn't work it means they've plugged the "hole" so to speak, and you'll have to wait for a new exploit to be found.

If this method dosen't work is there a way to perhaps downgrade to a firmware where I can root it?
No there isn't, otherwise everyone that came before you world have done that. If it doesn't work there's nothing you can do except wait for a senior dev to find a crack.

If s-off you can. But not sure that's necessary as once s-off you could flash the intl firmware and then a custom intl (stock rom). If you attempt to fully convert by changing mid and cid and then ruu you likely won't succeed. There's more to it than that.

yes I am, the thing is, i'm on mac os x. adb and fastboot cmd are working great but if you plan to use shell cmd I'm not sure it will work though
I think The same happened to me
I'm bringing this over from the HTC One help thread as instructed
I'm on Metropcs and wanted an HTC One GPE
Bought an unlocked verizon HTC One M8
Rooted it with kingroot, then unlocked the bootloader and s-off with sunshine.
Was in the process of changing the model id by flashing it with Golv's MID changer when the usb cord was pulled from the computer (I'll take that to the appropriate thread for THAT discussion)
Now the phone only comes up in bootloader mode, but I have no options (reset, reboot etc) it only says RUU where my options were.
ADB won't detect the phone however fastboot will and when I do fastboot getvar all I seem to have all the original stuff. (Except the CID has been changed to GOOGL001)
I can fastboot reboot-bootloader but the screen comes up as if I did fastboot oem rebootRUU except that there is a triangle in each corner of the screen with an exclamation mark in them.
Yes this is my first time trying anything like this.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

You can check your CID with "Simple CID Getter" on the Play Store.

Hi everyone so customer didn't want the phone in the end as it couldn't be repaired so didnt bother returning to pick it up so like I do with all things I tinker and I've spent a long long time trying to fix the OS and I have finally done it yayyy scored myself a free U11,
So I dont know how it managed to work, because I had main version 2.33.710.9, and the package that actually worked to repair it and flashed was main version 1.11.710.5 or something like that, my bootloader was re locked and S-ON and nothing I tried would work phone had no recovery and would not boot all i would get is your device is corrupt, couldn't unlock the bootloader again all I would get is a message to state the 3 killswitches are active and to disable them but couldn't without a functional OS.
The 1.11.710.5 file I tried over the course since last post with normal fastboot didn't work, then I tried a series of htc_fastboot didnt work, I even used the fastboot binaries provided by HTCdev that didnt work, I tried every command I could rack up in my brain but still the body thing wouldnt flash I fixed roughly 6 RUU flash errors I was facing but the only one I couldn't get past was Ruu security fail zip from USB command, this told me it was something system wise, but had reinstalled everything including drivers gave all fastboots elevated privileges tried a million diff computers and cords ( lucky I run a phone shop hehehe )
Now something has completely slipped my mind I had a HTC 10 batch tool on my computer and had completely forgotten it had it's own terminal interafce, (which is a fully sik purple might I say) all I did was place the file into the path that the batch took was installed to which was com I do believe and then opened the batch tool up & typed " htc_fastboot oem rebootRUU" after i had put the device into download mode and connected device,
Device rebooted to RUU, all I did was type htc_fastboot flash zip <file_name> and it flashed all 28 zips from the 1.11.710.5 device rebooted and was now met with the HTC logo and phone booted straight up like nothing ever happened, once I had gotten the FRP lock removed (only took 5 minutes) not very good HTC lol I then went to the setting menu to software Info only to find out that the firmware was still 2.33.710.9 but the firmware file was specifically 1.11.710.5 as i had gotten it from the google spread sheet here on xda developers,
So there you have it everyone I hope this helps you repair your devices it seems it's all in the terminal used to flash the device as long as the file is also signed though I can't be 100% on that as I'm not sure the zip i used was signed either but anyway phone is working great and now it gets to be used and abused as a dev phone for myself

Congrats on getting the phone revived. I tried all what you had mentioned in your earlier post except what you mentioned about the "HTC 10 Batch Tool". Never heard of it until now. Well too bad for my phone as I sent it out to HTC Repair and it is in their hands now (3 weeks and counting). Yep, my mistake was relocking the phone when I wanted to receive the OTA update (phone was rooted but I didn't flash any custom ROM). Thanks for the post.

Hey mate yeah I spent weeks on end trying everything it seems the HTC 10 batchtool was the saviour here on xda somewhere as that's where I got it from the batch tool has it's own terminal built into it and it must still hold official HTC code in it somewhere to allow the package to be flashed,
Least you know for next time if it happens again to avoid that hefty repair bill by HTC

When you use Sunshine.apk you can set S-Off and flash Nougat
