CleanROM DE Style Status Bar v4
This the status bar that will be in the upcoming CleanROM Developer Edition. I am still working on that ROM but I got the status bar re-done so I figured I would share and its something for all the flash-a-holics
Big thanks to Who.Mike.D.93 and Tiffany84 for all the help the gave me with this!
Download is on my website HERE
More mods..
Special GSM Patch:
Removes the AT&T 4G Icon and reverts to standard GSM "H" Icon.
Unlocks the Hotspot in its entirety so ALLLLLLL people can use it regardless of carrier!
Wait for it... Unlocks the magical LTE Toggle capability. Does not work on AT&T but does work on all other carriers AFAIK.
This patch CAN be applied to ATT if you want. It wont hurt anything that I know of. I was also told that if you manually program APN's that you can toggle the LTE toggle on ATT. I gave up on testing this but it did work a couple times for me but I could not get it consistent. If you can help the community figure it out for ATT then lets do it!

No no, You can flash this on ANY version of the firmware, 1.7x and 1.8x as long as you have a Custom Recover installed.
Unless you mean you went to 1.85 before you unlocked. And if so.... I am sorry man, so sorry I would FIND a reason to return the phone under warranty or something...

Just an FYI....
Turge was able to removing the carrier branding in the status bar. Unfortunately this happened about an hour after I posted the ROM, go figure, lol.
If you want to remove that Nasty AT&T Branding then go download the update from the thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1677636
And make sure yo go to the end of the thread and show Turge some love with the thanks button!

BUt I will be damned if I can get the overclock to stick for more than one benchmark. I have no clue what I am doing wrong
How come everyone can get OC to work except me?
Let me just double check here.
By removing all social Media Frameworks, can you still link your contacts to their facebook/twitter etc? Through Settings -> Accounts & Sync? Without installing said Apps? My guess would be that its still possible if you install facebook/twitter/evernote etc.
Not sure if u want this here or not but this Rom and the overclock gives me reboots on cfbench and quadrant standard. But it's hella fast

Yeah, I tried facebook and had all "those" people show up. I did not try twitter though.
I didint do anything in accounts and sync. Remember, the purpose of the ROM is for those that dont want all the Social Bloat. I personally am disturbed by that level of connectivity to the outside, lol

Yeah, thats cool. Its good to know info!
I think it runs very well without O/C. There is so much Social framework gone that you get a marginal to medium bump in memory too.
Would adding the Car.apk be just as simple as me installing it or is it missing something
The LTE toggle still sticks to LTE auto, it shows it in network stuff, but won't stick to gsm/wcdma auto.
Loving the lite version.

This ROM is built off of the T-Mobile OTA update that amazinglarry311 rooted and posted here. It has a Cyanogen kernel that is slightly overclocked to 576mhz. I've removed the T-Mobile crap, added a few useful things, and made a few framework mods to make it look better. This works with the original myTouch(32b) may work with the 32a and G1. Flash at your own risk. I'm not responsible for bricked phones. Make sure you wipe before flashing. I have also attached the blue dot wallpaper from Gingerbread if you want it.
Features (Original)
LauncherPro
Black Status Bar
Custom Status Bar Icons and Pulldown
CM6 MMS with Black Background
ROM Manager
News and Weather App and Widget
Live Wallpaper Support
Added Features on v1.1
Gingerbread (Android 2.3) Keyboard
Customized Weather Icons in News and Weather

Yet im making a nand as i download this file.
did you do anything different from your last post? like any OS tweaks?
i really enjoyed the stability and speed (im a nazi when it comes to performance)
of your last build (continuation of the 2.2.1)
also im on yoshi's 1.0, can i flash this over that since his work is a continuation or yours?
on the same rom as the guy above
This one you have to wipe. I tried flashing it over my last and it boot looped. The main difference in this one is the themed status bar. I'll be adding the gingerbread keyboard to the first update. Im gonna try out some other gingerbread apps tonight to see which ones will work and are an improvement.

I just wiped it all then flashed this ROM.
-snappier than the previous Jbrew... maybe ADW is laggy :/?
my apps didn't back up automatically but who cares cause i feel thats the problem that 2.2 has, its stalls everything up
-market downloads really quick on multiple downloads unlike before
-the GPS ping is right on the money
-i seem to be recieving all my texts all morning long
-3D gallery is laggy as usual but its not a big deal
-stock music app doesn't recognize half the artist, list them as unknowns (a trend I see with all Froyo roms)
-a couple apps close down when I try to open them, not habitual. More random if anything
EDIT!
NO Swap, it sucks . no compache, DONT put the app in home memory and DONT use the 3D app drawer. Launcher needs to better support these two. (Not JBrews fault)
my new froyo daily driver
great work JBrew!
It has been a while since I've flashed roms on this phone. I've tried RA and Clockwork and both end up in boot loops after flashing the rom... I tried a different rom too and got the same result, so it isn't the rom. Any quick ideas? I am rooted and wiped everything before flashing...
Umm start over?

Or download titanium backup... locate launcher pro... click it and uninstall... I believe you can't install 8.2 over 8.1... if you can't, make sure you have atleast one home launcher eg. Gingerbread launcher (or you wont have a homescreen to work with lol) then go into titanium to uninstall system lp... now u r ready to install ur 8.2

I'm open to suggestions. What would you like to see changed or added to the ROM?
Hmm...
well, there's a lot of competition, so thats kinda tough. im a fan of the green and black theme. with that said, id trade fancy for complete stability. Im personally looking for a daily driver.
Pull down power controls like in cm6.1 maybe cm settings to fix the rotation to the right thing....everything else is awesome nice work man

Nothing major. at this point any cutom pgns can be accomplished by the individual... assuming they can root, they can edit the framework-res.apk.
as far as the stability goes, like i said before , im a performance nazi, so the occassional app reload [start an app then it shuts its self down, but then restarts its self] is kinda annoying. home sceen lags ect.
people always rant about how this is the fastest rom "ever" but when i seem to try it its never the case.
i like to run my beast as stock as possible. no swap. no compache, no ext. so a rom thats come right out of the zip "blazing fast and stable" are hard to come by.
I will say that your Rom along with a select few are worthy of calling fast and stable. so i would like to see more customization,[diff colors schemes, cms options are nice] but if its at a cost for these old phone, well then pock that! lol example, 3d gallery, too laggy for my taste but some like it. im personally not a dev so i just want a phone that works as a phone firts and one i can show my I-friends why they they chose the wrong device. well i feel you get the point. hope that helped.
This is my personal EG22 Rom that im gonna share with ya because i dont see many EG22 roms yet.
Features:
1) 44 Bloatware apps that almost nobody uses removed, this results in better battery life and speed
2) Stock Ringtones removed and new ringtones from ol school video games added.
3) Stock apps replaced with better ones.
4) Stock apps themed.
5) All apps updated to latest versions.
5) Go Launcher EX used as main launcher, themed Swype,Video Player,Adobe Air,Music Player.....too much to list
There is more but i don't have time to list it.
I called it SuperHijacked Rom because i took many parts that i acquired sense the beginning when i got my Epic from other roms and combined them together with some of my own tweaks. Its light, fast, battery improved, multimedia apps added and themed.
LINK: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=B4QTQUIP This is Ext4 only.
Correct way of flashing this rom:
1 Do 3 Wipes
2 Flash this rom
3 Do a Nandroid backup (Don't ask why but this step is important or you will get stuck on Samsung logo,it has something to do with timestamp bug). WITHOUT THIS STEP YOU WILL GET STUCK AT SAMSUNG LOGO
4 Flash this http://chris41g.devphone.org/RFS2EXT4.zip ACS RFS2Ext4(this will convert it to Ext4)
5 Flash this http://chris41g.devphone.org/EG22PlusKernel.zip ACS Ext4 Kernel(i included this kernel in this rom but for some reason you need to flash it again)
6 Reboot,and you done!
Thanx to Syndicate Team for kernel and RFS2EXT4.
I recommend Odin to EG22 before flashing this.
for best results.
Or you can flash this over 2.2 just do 3 wipes.
Screenshots NOTE:Go Launcher EX theme is included just select UR theme from Go Launchers's theme options.

Yeah on first boot WiFi or data dont come on sometimes, just toggle WiFi or data on and off a time or two or reboot, after this it should work fine.
Also i noticed that sometimes when connecting the phone to ps3 it wont give you a mount option, just disconnect and reconnect usb cord until it does(time or two).
i have done all your steps in your first post twice now, and i still cant get wifi or regular 3g to work, i can make calls, but i cant text or log into my market
i have toggled airplane mode, and wifi on and off till i am the color of your keyboard, and rebooted several times and battery pulled even
it would also help if there was a 3g logo when network connected , instead of that lil triangled shaped circles thing...is that what that even is? a data connect logo?
any clue?
and btw, your swype keyboard color is ridiculous

Ok guys this is Konikubs Elite Series rom updated with the latest OTA kernel and the wifi is fixed.I kept everything intact, nothing was changed as far as the graphics/theme goes and no tweaks added, its as original as you can get. This rom is fast and smooth,so i hope you guys will like the new updated Elite Series IV.The actual problem i was having with the wifi issue was a corrupt driver.I also had to edit the market updater to keep the market from losing the transparency, otherwise it will update and go to the default theme.
Discalimer:I'm not held responsible for what happens after you download this rom,if you follow the install directions, there will be no problems.
Installation:
1)Download the rom to your desktop
2)Connect your phone to your computer
3)Drag and drop the rom onto your sd card
4)Right click the icon in your taskbar and eject your phone
5)Go into recovery and do a full wipe(everything,BUT SD CARD!!!!DO NOT WIPE SD CARD!!!!)
6)Go to flash zip, then find zip to flash and install the rom
7)First boot after wiping takes longer, but when you finish the set-up,go to system update and update your profile and PRL,then your golden.

I'll throw my suggestions in again... Tommytomatoe's Legacy Classic rosie (permission pending of course) and an original HTC keyboard in black. I know the seperate quick setting tab in the drop down is everyone's favorite but I really like Koni's small icon quick settings at the top of the drop down. Maybe a way to alter which settings show up there.
I like those suggestions. I would like to see an adherence to the original with regard to theming, wallpaper, etc. Koni's creativity and the clean smoothness of the ROM were what made it unique, and a fan favorite.
Team Viper Lives!
All menu backgrounds a transparent black with white text. Swype themed black.
The clock widget and wallpaper are essential. I've yet to find a more stunning clock. Maybe just update the center of the eclipse with the ES4 label.
This was my post that contained the link to the original's review on The Droid Demos (credits to Brent!)

I like the idea of the Legacy Rosie, too. A ot of Tommy's tweaks would work well with this ROM, and I can do something for the stock Wallpaper. I had made and ES II wallpaper at one point that was nice.
Just one thing, Koni had a unique shade of a deep blue that I just love.

It's very close to #0e06b3 for anyone themeing this.

Thats sounds great,i'll stick it in,i'm working on a beta release now,i have been donated to,so i have decided to let the donator(wgallt)take over testing,if he/she refuses,i will post that i have a opening for testers.Donators will have first choice of course.I will have a test rom ready tonite,i of course will test it first before uploading it to testers,so to make sure it boots and installs correctly.
The original look was awesome. Cosmetic tweaks should be flashable options/add-ons

Anxiously anticipated by no one, I present the creatively-named PharmNerd's ROM.
SCREENSHOTS HERE (SPOILER: It's Stock Themed!)
The Goal: Dump the bloat, add a tiny bit of functionality, but still retain all of the useful stock features & appearance. Since not everyone wants to be stuck with the apps that I find useful, they're all uninstallable.
About the only things here that aren't included in other ROMs are Google's Car Home & Desk Clock (so you aren't stuck using the awful Samsung Car/Desk Home apps). Also, the stock battery indicator shows yellow or red to indicate low battery.

Theme is pure, unadulterated stock (plus Dman's EPM mod). Aside from the non-stock kernel, there are only some relatively tame build.prop tweaks included, to avoid introducing any new bugs outside of what the stock ROM includes.
Since I don't plan to do big system-level tweaks in this ROM, I expect that any future updates will be available in CWM-flashable patch form (so you don't have to set everything up again from scratch).
CREDITS: bedwa (Infusion kernel), bigfau (for video fix), dman3285 (for UCLB3 base and EPM mod), MaliciousIntent69 (for helping me iron out some of the kinks), qkster (moral support)
INSTALLATION:
Copy ZIP file to your phone's internal SD. Make backups of any app's data you want to preserve. Internal & External SD card contents won't be deleted; everything else will.
Boot Into Red CWM (Completely power off your phone, hold volume up + volume down, then hold the power button & release power button when the Samsung logo appears. Continue holding Vol Up/Down until you see the CWM menu).
Once In CWM...
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Cache
Advanced --> Wipe Dalvik Cache
Mounts & Storage --> Format System, Format Data, Format Cache
Flash ZIP file to your phone
Advanced --> Wipe Dalvik Cache again, and Fix Permissions (maybe not necessary...just in case)
BUGS:
HDMI-out does not work. Fix: Use SGS Kernel Flasher to flash Entropy's latest test kernel (as of 4/15 this will cause you to lose desk dock functionality).
FEATURES:
UCLB3 Base [Rooted, Deodexed, Busybox, Zipaligned]
Infusion-GB Core A2 kernel
Dman's EPM Mod for Infuse
TWEAKS / FIXES:
Screen stays on when plugged into desk dock [WHEN DESK CLOCK APP OPEN]
build.prop tweaks (proximity sensor timer, force launcher into memory, 100% JPG quality, render UI w/GPU, Touch/scroll responsiveness, Photo/video quality, wifi scan interval increased from 15 to 30 sec)
Video playback works (thanks bigfau)
ADDED (All in /data/app, allowing easy uninstall):
FasterFix v1.6.1
Galaxy Dock Sound Redirector v1.8 (for dock audio with Google car/desk apps)
Google Car Home 2.2.1.4
Google Desk Clock v2.0.2 (modded to run in /data/app, renamed from "Clock" to "Desk Clock")
Google Talk 1.3 Installer
SGS Kernel Flasher v1.6.2
Swype Installer v2.0
Titanium Backup v4.9.0.2
REMOVED:
Allshare, AT&T Code Scanner, AT&T Family Map, AT&T Navigator, AT&T Uverse TV, Buddies Now, Days, Dual Clock, Facebook, Google Books, Mini Diary, Media Hub, My AT&T, Samsung Social Widget, Swype (so you can install the latest beta), Tethering Manager, wssync*.apk / WlanTest.apk (AT&T OTA Updates), Yellow Pages

My goal here was to keep everything looking as stock as possible.
But, the more I dug into the APKs, the more stuff I found that could be tinkered with. I can totally see why most of "almost stock" ROMs have the "almost" part. It's so hard to resist changing stuff up.

Well, crap. Looks like that tweak didn't work. Guess that'll be a 1.1 feature.
I think I need to use something other than APKMultiTool to recompile apks after xml changes.
EDIT: Hmm.. It does stay on when the Desk Clock app is open. Not sure if the XML change I made in framework-res.apk had any bearing on that. (?)

This.
Hasn't been updated in ages, but whenever I try a different launcher, I always come back to Launcher Pro. Mostly because I like how I can map a second app to each dock icon that opens when I swipe up from the icon (some other launchers have this, but the implementation always seems a little glitchy).
Looks good. Good job on dropping a new release
Hello, I made a custom rom based on Jocala's CM9.
To be clear, most of the work belongs to Jocala and other awesome people that are beautiful.
WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL.
I want this to be a community-based rom where your (viable) suggestions are heard and make our clunky low-end phone less painful to use.

I took this from Jocala's CM9 thread.
This rom should be mostly stable but help me test for any problems. Also, it should be fine to flash without ROM wiping CM9.
Time to give credit where credit is due.

YESS, finished uploading! The problem had to do with a newer version of the Adreno libraries. I fell asleep in my desk then my computer fell asleep too. So that stalled my uploading and I had to re-upload at around 50kbps because of my crappy internet.
Rant finished, try this out please!

Edit: First thing that's a problem is SuperSU, please remove it because it is a major conflict with Super User. Phone is crashing big time because of it.

I think I'm going to use a script to remove Superuser because from a freshly-wiped ROM, SuperSU works fine (tested with Titanium).

BTW Google Now FCing, even after data wipe. I uninstalled with TB, then rebooted. The Google Search bar works again and GNow is gone. I may reflash M7 at a later time to see how it does. Now that the dust has settled, the ROM is operating smoothly. Initial boot was a nightmare however. Probably going back to RR but hey, it's great we are getting more ROMs from folks like yourself.
Thanks for the addition, with some tweaking it'll be just fine!

I applied it to Jocalas last build out of preference, but I would love to see it implemented in your rom!!!
Thanks again!
EDIT: Also if you plan on just tweaking the 9/28 build (the latest one) continuously, I could just upload my modded apks )

lol, both of your problems come from the update-script file. The Google Now thing comes from me neglecting to add permissions (I'm a noob). IT TAKES FOREVER TO UPLOAD, I WANT TO REPEATEDLY STAB MY EYES OUT.

About the transparent thing, I'll look into it but I don't even know how to decompile apk files. I'm sure I can learn but if you could guide me or modify it yourself, that would be great. I plan on making an AROMA installer once I do learn how to.
