What phone should I get? - General Questions and Answers

I have the Evo 4g but am looking to upgrade. Preferably a phone that the miui rom can me added on but not a deal breaker. Just looking for a faster, updated phone. Any ideas? Also I'm on sprint.

Samsung Galaxy S III or HTC EVO 4G LTE. Those will be probably have MIUI as they are major flagship devices.

I was wavering between those two phones and I pre-ordered the SIII because it has a replaceable battery. I love to have long life so I will probably get an extended battery for it.

You can get the Galaxy Nexus for Sprint. It is a google phone and basically there is a huge developer base for it. I'm sure there are tons of ROMs that are MIUI themed for it. It is also plenty fast sporting a dual core cpu and 1GB of RAM.

Galaxy Nexus or HTC One X
*Derp*

He's on Sprint. So HTC One X would be the HTC EVO 4G LTE.
P.S. The GSIII will probably have a WAY bigger developer party, one of them being I . The phone has more preorders then the iPhone...

I heard about the one x. Thought it was only for at&t. So the evolution 4g lte is a upgrade from the 3d?

[Q] What Sprint phone should upgrade to?

I'm still sporting my original HTC Hero (Cyanogenmod 7) rooted etc etc etc...
I was seriously wanting to upgrade to the EVO 3D but some more devices have shown up lately, as of today also.
Thoughts on what I should get? I want power, I tether ALOT so that is a factor. I'll be rooting etc.
Anything other than the EVO 3D I should consider?
Don't get the evo, get the nexus s 4g. I left the evo for this phone. Best decision I've ever made this phone has more developers, no bloatware, faster, smoother, sleeker, more updates. Do not miss my evo aat all.

Correct, but sense takes up so much RAM, it makes the phone super sketchy. My friend has the 3D and when he speant the weekend with me all weekend he was saying how mine was faster, he liked the super amoled screen, just get it trust me.

So what would be the advantages to the holiday over the galaxy s II? (I realllllly want to sell my inspire and switch to the GSII it looks so clean).

Really only LTE. I think it has a higher resolution screen too, but I'd still get the GS2.
But Samsung phones look and feel like Mattel made them :/

I actually like their builds .
I just got my lady the Infuse4g and it seems like a nice phone, but too light for me. I like my inspire a bit too much.
Looks nice....
Love the Inspire 4g, but am ready for a upgrade without too much change. Make sense?
I've heard that the 4.7" HTC Runnymede (only name I've heard so far) could possibly be making its way to AT&T after being released in Europe for a few months first. Kinda like the same thing they did with the DesireHD before the Inspire came to the U.S.A.
The sensation xl looks awesome but only single core. But thats probably still heaps of cpu grunt

My thoughts exactly
I just want an HTC phone with build quality like the Inspire, HD resolution, dual core and a decent sized battery. I love the specs on the Galaxy Nexus but I will never buy another Samsung product.
I heard a while back about an "Inspire HD". I think it was on Android Central. I've never seen anything else about it, though.

Sasmung Nexus S -or- Samsung Epic 4G ???

I'm thinking about switching from T-Mobile to Sprint because their service sucks by me. I'm torn between these two phones. You think it would be a no brainer to go with the Epic, but there seems to be a lot of people complaining about LOS issues.
Which phone is better and why?
Thanks everyone and Happy Thanksgiving!

Nexus s is better here’s why
- Bloatware free
- Upgradable to ice cream sandwich by google
- great and large community of devs
- pretty good battery life
Nexus s. I had the epic. Its a good phone but I'm much more happier with my nexus. And we have official cm7 and miui. Epic doesn't.

Why would going with the Epic be a no brainer? It is almost identical to the NS but without the benefits of prompt updates (literally just received an update to the version of android the Nexus s launched with almost a year ago.

I only stated that because it has better specs (e.g. CPU, display, etc) and it's newer.
GS II epic or the epic 4g from original GS? If its the GS II I would get that over the nexus.

Whatever the hell they call it for the newest one with Sprint. I believe it's the GS II (aka Epic), right?

That's the Epic 4G Touch, not the Epic 4G.

Q&A What SPRINT Phone should i get?

I have a birthday April 7th and i want a new phone then.I have a EVO Design 4G and the lack of DEV support makes this phone for a rom installer like me suck!
Any phones sound good But I'm i between the GSII Epic 4G touch and the iPhone 4S as my top 2 picks
Thanks
Garrett
I would go for the Epic 4G Touch, Evo3D, or if you can wait, the Galaxy Nexus in the summer.

Going to get GSII Epic 4G Touch or if the GSIII is out that
the Galaxy Nexus will be the good choice
The photon takes 2 mins to root.

Upgrade Question

I am looking to upgrade soon. And I'm stuck on what to upgrade to seeing T-Mobile isn't gonna get the one x....should I get the note....or the GS3...or wait for another amazing device like the sensation
Sent From My HTC Sensation 4G
I've heard good things about the GS3 and the Note. If I were you I'd go for the GS3 right now but otherwise maybe wait a couple of months.
Not sure whether T-Mobile will bring out a successor to the Sensation.
Sent from my Sensation using Tapatalk 2
I think I would wait for the note 2. The gs3 is a great phone but I'm not sure is worth upgrading to most people with the gs2 are opting out of getting it till something really amazing is released .

Note is not even released get for T-Mobile. It would be a miracle if note 2 is released this year. I want the gs3 but I love sense so much more than touchwiz

Get the GS3. Sure, there's a lot not to like about it, but there's a lot going for it at the same time. When people complain about the screen, its not because its bad, its just because its not as good as the HOX. It's still probably better than the Sensations (even with pentile it has higher density than Sensation). Also, both the exynos and s4 are blazing, and I can guarantee the GS3 will be much faster and smoother than HOX (even though HOX can also have S4, Samsung makes snappier phones period). The multitasking is the best I've seen, and the camera is top notch too. It's overall a phone that would keep you happy well into next year.

Whoa, the One S doesn't have an expandable Barry?
Anyway, I'd go with a GSIII. It's gonna be huge. Huge means solid development for a while.
