Help flashing SPL205 for HTC Titan AT&T - Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My HTC Titan AT&T
PI39100
OS:7.10.7720.68
Bootloader: 1.10.160015.3(132409)
I try to flash many times SPL205 with no luck: I did
Format SD with FAT32
Copy file ETERING.nbh To SD
Connected Titan-Goldcard with Y cable to power USB of PC
Enter USB host mode, after few second loading... Titan show :NOT ALLOW!
Please help me all bro!!!

You have to do GoldCard from your SDcard:
2. Format the MicroSD Card to fat32
3. Copy the .nbh Image to the MicroSD Card
4. Launch Goldcard Tool
5. While ignoring the cid box, choose "Load GoldCard.img" and select the goldcard.img you just downloaded
6. Press "Patch MMC" and wait for confirmation
7. Unplug the MicroSD Card

Not solved for me
It gives me an error that's too fast to read then goes to SPL.
Once it was slow enough I could read it say "Not allow".
I tried different cards / memory pendrive etc, nothing works.
For me it was the goldcard.img file
Eventually found one that works:

is ur device G3 or G4 ? i need G4 sd card image
u can download this software
ftp://xda:[email protected]//Uploads/Prophet/Prophet-tools/TeraTermPro_WinCE_USB.zip
* Get into the tri-color screen (bootloader) (hold CAMERA, reset) and plug into the USB port.
* Kill wcescomm.exe from Windows XP using the Task Manager (CTRL-ALT-DELETE) (this is the ActiveSync driver for the USB port)
* Start Tera Term
* Selec the "serial" radio button and from the drop down list select "USB"
* Hit "return" to ensure you have a command prompt.
* Make sure your 128MB SD card is in the slot.
* Type "r2sd all" and hit return.
then download this software
http://rapidshare.com/files/220968581/XDArit.exe.html
connect that SD card to ur pc's card reader, don't try to open it with my computer, cause it doesn't contain any files or folders...and also File System,if u try to open,ur computer will tell u to format it or not !
open the software, choose the drive belongs to ur memory card from the droplist...
in bottom of the window click read from SD ... another window will be appeared, select both Bootloader and Windows CE ... this will give u 2 file ... save them, upload them to rapidshare or megaupload ...
that's it
i make it and i tested and work but i cant read sd card to extract 2 files i don´t know why.
sorry for my english

verizone xv6175 ????

i got htc verizone xv6175 dead and can't boot even in boot mode with volume down power one how i can solve my probleme
Have you charged it? Are you sure you're holding down the volume down key and keeping held down before pressing the power key? If you can't, then you'd better take it to Verizon.
yes i did and the baterry is full
i folow this methode but i don(t have working HTC so i can't use if somone can help me
Method 3: The "goldcard" final method is a bit more intensive so follow closely:
(This method will unbrick 99% of all Maples regardless of branding)
•Get a cup of coffee or tea
•You will need a working Donor HTC device with a microSD slot and a microSD card that is smaller than 1GB (will be formatted) to create "goldcard" image using QMAT tools as described below
•You will need QMAT. Get it from revskills.de/index.html.
•Go to the Download Link and download the latest version and unpack QMAT
•Have some coffee
•Use a SD card reader in your PC to access the SD card through Windows. Format the SD card with FAT32.
•* Insert the SD card into the donor HTC device and connect the USB cable. If you unchecked "Allow USB Connections" in Activesync in an earlier step, make sure you recheck it so that you can establish a full USB sync connection to the HTC device.
•Open QMAT and go to the "Hardware Forecsics" (version 5.04 and below) or "Calculators/Generators" (version 5.05 and up) menu and select "Generate HTC Goldcard"
•In "Select device key:" select the Maple
•You will need the serial number from the SD card so click the "Get SD Card Serial from WINCE Device" button
•Once the Serial number appears in the box, click the "Save Goldcard Image to WINCE SD" button below
•If no errors pop up and all goes well, proceed to these next steps
•If you get an error or a popup saying "Goldcard for newer devices isn't implemented in newer devices", you must buy and register the software. Believe me, it's worth the small amount of $ you will spend to bring your expensive device back to life!
•Now remove the SD card with the newly written Goldcard image from the Donor HTC device
•Insert the SD card back into your PC using the microSD card reader adapter. Browse to the drive letter assigned to it. You will see no files on the SD card, this is normal.
•(If, for some reason your PC sees the SD card as unformatted, something went wrong. Remove it and reinsert it into the Donor HTC device. The device should see the card as unformatted and ask you to format it, say yes. Now go back to the "* Insert the SD card into the donor HTC device" step above and repeat the steps)
•Unpack your HTC, T-Mobile, or other factory ROM and copy RUU_Signed.nbh to the SD card. Once it had finished copying, rename the file to MAPLIMG.nbh. Remove the SD card from the PC.
•Make sure the Maple is off and insert the SD card
•Enter bootloader mode as mentioned earlier (hold the volume down button while pressing the power button)
•You will see a gray screen that says "loading". It will then find the MAPLIMG.nbh file and ask if you would like to start the update process. Follow the instructions and let the phone flash.
•You can also do the update using the Rom Update Utility with the USB cable if you like
•It will take 10 mins but your phone should boot fine and be back in action!

[SOLVED] Phone's SD card not showing up in My Computer

Hi,
I just bought the Desire S and it comes with an 8GB SD card. When I plug my phone into the computer to browse the SD card, the SD card doesn't show up in My Computer. I've tried USB storage ON and OFF, debugging Mode and nothing works.
When I go to Computer Management -> Disk Management, the SD card shows up as "Unallocated". I cannot assign a drive letter to it as well.
I took the SD card out of the phone and plugged it into the computer using a card reader and it showed up in My Computer and was working fine. I put it back into the phone and plugged the phone to the computer and selected SD card storage option on the phone and I can't browse the SD card any more.
I've already formatted the card as FAT32 using Windows 7 before putting it into the phone.
I can browse the SD card just fine using a file explorer on the phone.
What could be the problem? why isn't the SD card showing up when I plug the phone into the computer?
I'm running MIUI 1.9.30 ROM, but the problem was also present with the original HTC ROM as well.
maybe you should try to format it through phone's settings, even better if you try to use a sense rom
Do you have htc usb drivers on your pc? Not sure if this they are required to browse the sdcard whilst in the phone, but they maybe?
The best you can do, you must format your SD card (all partitions) with your recovery (Ext3 or Ext4).
If you have used 4EXTRecovery or CWM, it's easier. (I prefer 4EXTRecovery )
At the end I think it will be ok

I downloaded the "HTC Sync" tool and installed it but it doesn't recognize the phone probably because MIUI is installed on the phone.
Does anyone else have MIUI installed and managed to get it to work? Or is there some USB drivers I need to install?

But Windows doesn't recognize Ext3 or Ext4, so I still won't be able to browse my SD card on the computer.

Indeed, except if you use Droid Explorer on your PC (you can read all partitions from your phone with).
Except your SD partition who's must be in Fat32, all the parttions must be in Ext3 or Ext4.
That's why I'm write that's you can format your Sd card with your recovery.
For exemple, mine is:
System => ext4 => capacity :549 MB => free: 101MB
data => ext4 => capacity :1156 MB => free: 427MB
cache => ext4 => capacity :142 MB => free: 138MB
sd ext => ext4 => capacity :0 MB MB => free: 0 MB
sdcard => fat32 => capacity :29543 MB => free: 15369MB
In my pc, the only partition that I can read is sdcard
I tried Droid Explorer but it is buggy, incomplete, very slow, and overall crap.
I tried RCMix3D 1.5 ROM with Sense 3.5 and Android 2.3.5, and still the SD card doesn't show up on the computer. I have HTC Sync installed, but it crashes when I plug the phone in.
The SD card is formatted as FAT32.
Is there anything else I can do to browse the SD card on my PC? What did you guys do to get your SD card to show up on the PC for the first time?
Thanks for your help.

Some daft questions:
Did the SD function fine ever, eg with stock ROM when you first got the phone?
Have you tried an alternate SD card in the same phone?
Have you tried a different USB lead?
Have you tried on a different PC?
Have you tried another USB cabel?
Swyped from my Desire S
[Solved]
I found out what the problem was. After having a look at My computer -> Properties -> Device Manager, I found that two of the USB Controllers were not working properly and the SD card was detected as an "Unknown Device".
I uninstalled HTC Sync, fast boot drivers, and anything related to Android or HTC from my computer.
I then uninstalled the USB controller drivers by right-clicking on each and selecting Uninstall, and the same for the "Unknown Device". After a restart Windows started scanning for drivers for these devices and they started working perfectly again.
The SD card now shows up in My Computer when I plug the phone in, without the help of any HTC drivers.
I hope that helps others who come across this problem. Thanks to everyone who tried to help me with this problem. I appreciate your help guys.
i had that too.... i formatted it wiht my desire hd and it worked
Great to hear that this is resolved.

[q] sd card issues

Hi guys,
I hope this is the right section to post this issue.
Does anyone have a solution to completely erasing data from a sd card, my problem with my sd card is that i am not able to delete files from the card or add any new files. I am able to copy files from the sd card to the pc though. I have tried formating it on various computer operating systems as well as on an android system.
What i get is the format completes but after reconnecting the card to the pc or phone, all the files that were previously on the card have somehow returned and the files are not corrupt or anything because i am able to view images and play music from the sd card. Is there any method I could use or is it time to let the memory card go?
Check for Errors
Try check your SD card for errors on the computer (Mount it first).

Hi JBMorris, i have tried mounting it to the computer still no luck, I used a program called active kill disk to format it and check for errors but the program freezes on the verify and checking for errors section. I think something about the sectors not being readable so I might as well get a new sd card and thanks for the suggestion!

I think you had encrypted it with some device before.... So if you insert in that device and remove encryption...
But if you have factory reset your device and remove encryption key.. Then it will be very hard (may be impossible) to format it or change permissions

Oh.. Yeah it is the solution.. If your card is in warranty
You should format your SD card through CMD
To format a memory card from command prompt, follow the below procedure:
Connect the memory card to your PC through card reader.
Click on Start > Run > Type CMD and click on OK.
Assuming the letter of the memory card drive is G.
Now enter this command.
format /q /x G: and press Enter.
Note: Don't forget to replace the letter "G" with your drive letter.

Replacing Card
Hi guys,
Thanks for all the effort, my card doesn't have warranty and I will be replacing it, what I have learned from all this is to stay clear of encryption if you not sure of what it fully entails!
Cheers Fellas!
