I love the design although there xould be more live-tile widgets

Why does this app need GPS information ?

GPS is only required if the tile you want the current weather map of their position. This option is only optional.

This looks great however please open the demo more. I can hardly demo the product with almost everything locked down. Maybe make it expire in 2 days or something. Plus I'm not sure what: "Please note that you may have another launcher (like Nova Launcher, Go Launcher etc.) should be installed as the default launcher screen settings do not allow to achieve the best possible result." means.

Nice idea. I'm going to try it now.

Looks interesting. Thanks OP.

Same here. I've tried every combination ( city and state, city, city and country, zip etc) and nothing works

I can not use the function "execute apps", the apps that I selected can not open when I press the tile.

Bought it last night and it worked for a while and I was getting somewhere with it, but since then it has started to force close earlier and earlier into the process.
When the problems first started I could go to Add Widget, choose the type I wanted and it'd F/C once I tapped on an option to mod that widget. Now it crashes as soon as I choose which type of widget I want.
Any ideas?
I'm using a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0

Looks like dev is not interested..... no replies...

We had a problem with the weather tile, this should be fixed now.

Dev, can I request a solution or a refund please? Your app worked for less than an hour.

To resolve your problem, it would be helpful if you click the report button when Metro UI crashes.

Stopped working after an hour on my Archos G9. Timebombed so no refund possible? Sent the report through the app! Fix that please!

Hey, does anyone know what the "do not disturb" mode actually does? I still seem to get notifications from Google Voice about texts I get. Does it only block the calls?
Edit: It also appears the linked Google Voice isn't the latest version. Do you happen to have a link to the original source so I can request one?
I'll dig up the link and repost later this evening when I get home. Also, it turns out credit should have gone to XSoldier2000 who did the theming utilizing some of Benny879's resources.
That said, here is the latest version 0.4.1.26. I didn't realize I had both versions on my comuter and, therefore, posted the older one. I change all of my icons and it can be a pain in the @$$ to keep my folders of apps maintained.

Favorite clock/weather widget?

So one of the only things I find myself salivating at on my wife's HTC Incredible 2 is the Sense weather/clock widget. Thing looks badass. I've found some of the ripoffs on the appstore, and have installed Beautiful Widgets, which has some pretty cool clocks, but a lot of them look like janky crap.

Do you guys have a favorite or has anyone found one that gives the sense widget a run for its money?
Fancy Widget Pro is great. I prefer it over Beautiful Widgets and Weather Toggle & Widgets.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.anddoes.fancywidgets
I guess the new version is called just Fancy Widgets
Weather and Toggle Widgets. I use the Digital Clock skin:
Thanks for the suggestions The couple of clocks I've downloaded for Fancy Widgets(I only had free before, but just bought full version) are already way better quality than the ones on Beautiful Widgets. Will try to post a screen shortly
Beautiful Widgets is my favorite. Lots of options and skins

Second to that, plus they had it as an Amazon Free App of the day once. Woohoo!
Beautiful Widgets all the way. I've been using the destroy skin with a transparent background. Around 50% that way I can see my screen background.
DroidX Eye Clock widget
At some point in the last nine months I had a DroidX Clock widget on my OG Droid. I really was just a clock widget that used the DroidX Eye as a background, and offered a choice for the eye color (red, blue, green, yellowish). It was lost at some point in one of the many times I flashed different roms to that phone. I have looked a few times in the last couple of months, but have been unable to find it.
If anybody has seen that widget, or has it, I'd love to get it installed on my Droid Charge.
(BTW: Verizon tunred on 4G in my area today, and it is crazy fast... loving it).
Actually. Use go launcher and then get.goweather. your wife will be salivating looking at your phone. They.have an htc style clock that is better than htcs. And the coolness.of go launcher is a "see it to appreciate it" thing. Set your app drawer to have the blind effect. Its awesome lol.

Check out GS Flip Clock wallpaper. I'm running version 4.3 on my Samsung Tab and it's fantastic. It is as close as you can get to the HTC version. It had some growing pains initially, but as of version 4.3 everything seems to be working great.
I didn't pay for it, so I must have found the apk via Google. I remember searching for quite a while because HTC had been putting the smack down on any developers who used the flip clock style.
Currently it is on the market (website only, it didn't show up when I searched using the market app on my Charge) for $2.00. Since I'm a "noob" I can't post the direct link. Search for GSFlipClockWallpaper by Sergey Golovanov

Tablet widgets

Anyone found any nice widgets that utilize the size of the tablet screen?
All I have seen is Wizz, and it's really not all that great. Post it up if you find any other good ones.
Minimalist text works good if you want a long battery indicator on your screen
May be here?

Thought I would mention that there is a newer clock/weather widget app called HD Widgets that has various tablet sized clock widgets that actually look really good. It has a few different clocks and backgrounds so you can customize it a bit too. 99 cents. I would recommend it.

If you're looking for a Twitter, Facebook, gMail, Pop/Imap email reader you should look at Pure Messenger Widget and if you want a news reader you should look at Pure News Widget (scrollable) which will read off your gReader account. I have Engadget added to my gReader account and it displays quiet nicely on the Pure News Reader. Here is a screenie of both side by side using a completely transparent background skin. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that there skinnable and scrollable too.

Lightning Launcher by PierroX
Fastest launcher on Xperia Play. 60KB download. Works on GB and ICS. Customization is incredible.
Lose the fat, keep the muscle. Be warned, Lightning Launcher is on steroïds.
This application has been designed to minimize memory usage and be fast: the more memory you have for your applications, the faster they will run. In other words Lightning Launcher has been built from the ground to preserve your phone's resources and keep it smooth.
In spite of its ridiculously small size (less than 60kb!), Lightning Launcher is packed with a fair amount of features and brings to Android a very unique concept: the home screen can be seen as a giant surface on which you are free to put icons, shortcuts or widgets exactly where YOU WANT, and not limited to a 4x4 grid. Pinch to zoom in or out the desktop, use the home key to switch between a full scale view or the normal size, or double tap on empty space as in the web browser to immediately see all your icons. And everything stay functional whatever the zoom level is: widgets are alive, icons can be clicked, and so on.
Lightning Launcher drops rarely used features and focuses on useful ones but comes nevertheless with numerous customization options. Icons and widgets can be moved, scaled and even rotated freely. Each object can be configured independently, you can change the font, the label, the icon and much more!
The package is extremely small, only a few kilobytes. What it means is that the Android system do not need to load several megabytes to run this app. Lightning Launcher starts faster and run in perfect harmony with your other apps.

First I'd like to thank you for this very responsive and light launcher.
What is a bit difficult for me to understand is the separate installation package on the Play store ("Lightning Launcher Setup"): Is it mandatory to install it? Can I remove it after setup of the launcher? When does it unload from memory?
I installed it on same time i installed the "Lightning Launcher Home" but i'm a bit lost with these two separate packages, although I understand the reason of this.
Maybe he wanted to make the launcher cool so he made an 60kb package and then 100kb+ setup.

The third post told me 'Todo'.
Giving this a try. Just got a new base/standup charger and was looking for an app like this. Will give it a shot.
Ok. Here's a screen shot from a Galaxy S3.
Suggestions: Configure the apps or toggle them. I personally don't really need any of those accessible.
Option to change said apps.
Alarm access and/or display option.
See, I'm lookin for a clock to turn on while charging but keeping my display on I can force the display (via NfC and load this app) so aside from the little bit of suggestions I posted, the clock itself is exactly what I need/will use.
Keep at it dev.

Nice work Timmo,
i just installed it, and i found a bug -
i open the app, tap on the clock and the screen changes to a new screen:
Analog clock,
digital clock,
date
battery level.
when i tap on the clock, it resets the clock to 12:00, January 1st 2013 and then goes back to the correct time.
Widgets work fine.
Greetings,
Looking good, will try it.
What is that font?? It looks great!!
Working great on my SIII.
Suggestion: would be nice if you could have an option to automatically switch screen to the clock nightmode when charger is connected
