Hello there,
I have Asus Eee Pad Transformer 101G, with following specification:
1. Android version 4.0.3
2. Baseband version 11.810.09.17.00
3. Kernel Version 2.6.39.4-00027-g3b35b62
4. Build number IML74K.WW_epad-9.2.2.4-20120424
I've tried almost everything that I've googled, to get root access to it, but without luck.
Is there a way to root it?
Thank you in advance

Or click the PERI link in my signature for an easy One-Click Root
It'll work on your TF101G perfectly.

When I was looking at the Android news, I found this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmWR3vUq7Ww
This demonstated two unpatched security holes in Android. The second one, a privilege escalation vulnerabilitiy targeting the Linux kernel, got me very intrested: If we could persuade the team to open source this exploit, we could gain a very useful program that can shell root ANY Android device, meaning that we could root B70 tablets with the new SPK (like mine). This is something worth looking in to, and if it's realased to us, we could gain a very potent resource that will help us with rooting in general.
check the pad's serial number...if your SN is before KAS180..you can root it using Brk v7 method..worked for me...
If your device has KAS180+ well..be patient and wait for a root method...
Actually, I know my device right now cannot be rooted. The point of this post was to bring up a potental new exploit that can shell root ANY android device, including Honeycomb 3.1-3.2.
Sounds good. Found it from yesterday.

We will soon be able to root our B70's & possibly B80's, they have figured out a way to use NVFlash without the SBK.
So we just need to be a little patient, and wait until they release it.. which I'm sure will be very soon... Attachment 918

I do know about that, but I was just bringing up a method, that if we badger the creators enough, can make shell root on a signifant number of Android devices possible. Can't wait for the day for which I can NVFlash...

The method mentioned in the OP probably won't apply to the transformer since it looks like the Econet Privilege Escalation Exploit that only affects kernels older than 2.6.36.2.

Thanks for mod, works perfectly.
Can you tell me how I over clock, and what are the wi fi mods are? Are they installed automatically.
Thanks in advance.
Charles
EDIT: What tool do you use to overclock to 1.5? Anything above 1.2 and it crashes. Any help gratefully appreciated.
I bought the 9104 as a cheap video player for work. Great to see I can still root it and mod it the way I like. Thanks!
Were you ever able to get CWM working on the device?

I only tried to compile CWM a couple of times and my mount points didn't make sense (they kind of worked to do a nandroid but soft bricked on restore) so I gavce up quickly as I'd moved on to developing RK3066 at the time. To the point, Allwinner SDK is (apart from Actions Semiconductor) not the best and even Amlogic is better. For the Chinese chip tablets the RK3**** stuff is certainly the best.

Hello,
I buy a tablet JMI T970 Tab
It runs on android 4.0.4.
Do you know how I can do for the rooter?
I tried SuperOneClick and it hangs during boot on ADB server.
I tried Unlocker but it always asks me to download a driver (I did install the drivers android debug).
I essater z4root but I can not find a version that works (my antivirus tells me a warning).
Thank you for your help
z4root contains a exploit for the rooting to work so it was correct also z4root doesn't support above 2.3

go to slatedroid on the rk3066 threads
superoneclick 2.3.3 works for this kind of device. You need the corresponding driver to have your tablet recognized by soc. Everything is explained in the n90 or cube u30gt topics.
I have a tablet similar to jmi tech

I followed the handling of this topic

It may be a l ittle late, if anyone is interested I've prepared a custom firmware with root, writable /system and extended space (1.5 Gb) for apps.
This firmware is based on latest firmware from JMI (08/26):

Hello all!
I am really strugling with the rooting of RK3288-based Pipo P1 3G Tablet.
Tried virtually every method -- Kingo Root.... Towelroot... Vroot... Unfortunately there is no CWM for it (yet) so I cannot try to root it from the recovery...
Do you have any experience / ideas how to root the RK3288 -- KitKat 4.4.2 based devices ?
They come with Android 4.4.2 KOT49H and kernel 3.10.0.
Thanks !!

Try to ask on freaktab forum, there are other owner of pipo that maybe can help you
Inviato dal mio LG-D802 con Tapatalk
Just for the sake of all PIPO P1 users -- Credits go to Fouk who mentioned this method.
Just follow the link, download the "chineese rooting software - Root Genius" run, enable USB Debug. and click Root. Done.
P.S. It doesn't install SuperSU/Superuser -- it installs Kinguser, but the functionality is the same and you will have full su-access.
Download Root-Genius.

To ask the service personnel of ainol-novo.com, they are engaged in tablet and smart phone business for many years and offer good after-sales service. they have specialized technical personnel on smart phone and tablet.
Thanks for the advertising... but no thanks -- as already described -- there is a working method and there are already custom pre-rooted ROMs out there.
For other users -- you can search for CrewRK Tablets or RileyROM. Personaly using RileyROM now (with some fine tuning) and I am quite happy with it.
Hi,
Can you confirm that it really works? Aybody tried this method with success?

There is no cwm recovery for this device so how to install new rom?
giaur -- check the RileyROM thread. There is TWRP recovery and the whole flashing process is described there.
No need to post here since no Pipo-Dev seems to use XDA Forum.
I won't reply to further questions here. Head to freaktab forums.
Ok I already asked them, most important if this rom is multilanguage
i did some search on RK3288. and i'd love to know how Pipo P1 doing with gaming?? 3D games??
All games run smoothly. I tested Asphalt 8 and Need For Speed Most Wanted.
Hello,
I want my Asus ME371MG Model K004 rooten. The various instructions on the Internet are contradictory and confusing.
You have the version "nakasig-user debug 4.2 JVP15S 515 026 dev-keys" have. That would be very important.
This version I have not. My Asus has released version "JZO54K.WWW_epad-V3.4.0-20140901"
The root version is the file "ME371MG_all_WW_user_V3.2.2-2" or "ME371MG_all_WW_user_V3.2.4-2".
My Question:
must I
A) on "nakasig-user debug 4.2 JVP15S 515 026 dev-keys" up or down degrees?
or
B) flash directly directly to my version "JZO54K.WWW_epad-V3.4.0-20140901" with the "ME371MG_all_WW_user_V3.2.2-2" or "ME371MG_all_WW_user_V3.2.4-2" file.
If A)
Where can I find the file to up or down grade?
Thanks in advance
