[HELP] How to root JMI Tab T970 - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hello,
I buy a tablet JMI T970 Tab
It runs on android 4.0.4.
Do you know how I can do for the rooter?
I tried SuperOneClick and it hangs during boot on ADB server.
I tried Unlocker but it always asks me to download a driver (I did install the drivers android debug).
I essater z4root but I can not find a version that works (my antivirus tells me a warning).
Thank you for your help

z4root contains a exploit for the rooting to work so it was correct also z4root doesn't support above 2.3

go to slatedroid on the rk3066 threads
superoneclick 2.3.3 works for this kind of device. You need the corresponding driver to have your tablet recognized by soc. Everything is explained in the n90 or cube u30gt topics.
I have a tablet similar to jmi tech

It may be a l ittle late, if anyone is interested I've prepared a custom firmware with root, writable /system and extended space (1.5 Gb) for apps.
This firmware is based on latest firmware from JMI (08/26):

This device is almost 10 years old, it wouldn't be worth it anyway, most of today's apps don't work with android versions older than 4.4-5.0 and your device wouldn't be able to handle android 5.0, it would be way too slow and unstable.

How to root Blu Studio 5.3

Hi guys. This question was answered in another thread that was about the Blu Studio 5.3 in general, but it was way down in the thread and the site that explains how to do it is in Portugese, so I thought a separate thread would be useful for searchers.
I was able to root the Blu Studio 5.3 (Android 2.3.5, kernel version 2.6.35.7) using SuperOneClick 2.3.3 with the alternate ADB driver. I was NOT able to get it to work with the Linux version of SOC or get it to work using a Windows virtual machine running on a Linux host. I had to boot into a real Windows 7 system and install SOC, and then it permanent rooted the Blu with no problems in about 30 seconds. I have confirmed that the root survives poweroff and reboot, but haven't tried SOC's shell root or unroot.

Have rooted with the linked file and the instructions above. Only question is how to go about scaling the CPU or overclocking it. None of the current programs like SetCPU seem to work.
Correction: MTK CPU Control works perfectly to boost the 650Mhz processor to 800Mhz with noticeable improvement in speed and functionality both in interface and in gaming. Available as a free trial and as a paid app.
Anyone figured out the overclock CPU settings yet. I only get zeros or nothing on all the overclocking apps...

Root for Blu Studio 5.3 D510 wow!!!
Keeping all my hopes on XDA I have bought 2 of them even though D510 doesnt support 3G band 900/1800 for WCDMA frequency in Asia.
This mobile got impressive enough hardware to attract the developers around but was ignored due to its little brand name.
I am waiting for some kind of success in rooting this with CWM so that I can remove unwanted bloatware.
Also any chances to enable 3G network with 900/1800 Mhz band in service mode like samsung???
I have the blu and hate all of the bloatware that came with it and want to try rooting it. This will be my first time rooting and was wondering what roms will work?

[Q] Universal Android Rooting Method?

I have found many many guides and documents regarding many different devices for rooting. I was wondering if there was some general method of rooting a Android Device that would be universal for all devices?
This application exploits the Exynos bug to root a phone. I think this is only for ARM-based devices.
If that doesn't work for some reason (or you are using an x86 based device), you can use Recovery mode to flash the Superuser ROM available in ROM Toolbox Lite, select "ROM Management" and download an appropriate ROM. The download will be in /sdcard/romtoolbox/downloads/downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com

alright first of all don't be angry with my answer when you read it, its the Truth, we cant do much about it, unless there's a supa mega hacker who knows everything about huawei and has taken this thing apart 9000 times. this phone is only single cored phone at 528MHz with only 256MB of ram and only 512MB internal space ( around 150mb for the user to use.). the Specs on this phone are Terrible. im sure this was a great phone of its time and maybe still is to the people who have it, im not saying its not possible to put jelly bean onto this device (nobody would even think of putting android 4.3 onto this...) its just no one will want to take the time to get it to this device . Firefox browser for android is compatible with android 2.2 which your phone has you should be able to get it onto your device. if you want to root your phone you can try this method Here its is compatible with most phones android 2.1-3.3, if it doesn't work i would Google it. if that method i showed you please Tell me so we can help others root theirs
Edit: did a quick search and firefox says it only works on phones with 384 MB of Ram sorry mate
you're help means a lot, thanks!! ...
I didn't get mad. Instead, I laughed like crazy!!
I guess I just need another phone.
Metropcs was bought out by T-Mobile and all metropcs phones will need to operate on the T-Mobile network by 2015.
Can you suggest a phone that will have the features of the new android and internal storage you suggested and be able to run on or be switched over to the T-Mobile signal when the time comes?
I used gingerbreak 1.2 on my phone and busy box to get Root. It works terrific!
Do you have a link for Firefox 5.0? It's old as hell but none of the newer version's will install.
I really appreciate Your help!! It's been VERY enlightening.

i wouldn't know any phones from metropc that would be able to get onto a t-mobile network. as for the firefox i would just search up firefox 5.0 apk.
search for Firefox 5.0 apk at ftp.mozilla.com and old version. com ...
I did manage to install several versions of Firefox and none of them either run or show up in the applications menu. I did install 7zip from the Google play store, which allowed me to login to play. Google. Com and install the newest version, but no luck.
I found the http://FTP.Mozilla.org site with all the old versions of Firefox from version 0.8 (2004) to version 23 for 2013
There is also a site old. Versions. Firefox. Com that I got the first Firefox version 5.0 from but I can't get it to run or create /etc/Firefox folders with Root Explorer.
Currently, I'm running Gingerbreak 1.2 and Busybox Pro with PDANET and Titanium Backup to freeze unused metropcs apps.
I'm sorry you dunno metropcs and their cdma system. That's perfectly okay.
Thank you very much for being here to help me!! - Your knowledge
is absolutely priceless my friend.

there is a way to get it working on your device just have to find the right one maybe a modified version.
a modified version of Firefox will work! ..
I started downloading Ubuntu and I'm still searching for a Firefox that will work on this. I actually found a premium Linux installer on Google play that installs Ubuntu and Debian from sourceforge.net.

sweet thinkin of getting ubuntu on one of my phones one of these days. maybe if i revive my galaxy s2, i heard they put it on that.
Ubuntu on android from Google Play Store
I got the complete Linux installer from Google play and got the Ubuntu 12 and debian small to go onto my phone right from sourceforge. Net.
The complete Linux installer has a direct link in their app so there's no guessing if your adding the right thing.
I've been thinking about my spam links and wondered if there was a clean version of gingerbreak 1.2.floating around.??
I'm thinking I need to reroot my phone, from scratch, eh??
