Well i had added an autorun.inf on my sdcard and internalstorage so that it shows an custom icon when i connect it to my pc...but it gets deleted automatically, leaving the ico.
Even by making the .inf read-only, the same happens.
What's wrong.?

Previously I was using cm9, after that I upgraded to cm10. I wiped data, wiped cache in cwm recovery.
After that, I tried xfering some files over to my tab, it looked like this

From this picture, it can be seen that my internal memory has files and is not empty
yet when I enter the folder

Completely empty, cant be seen.
Even after trying to copy and paste files in, only the new files appear, can no longer find my old files.
Can anybody help me? same thing for the SD card. SD card only detected when I removed and plugged in with external usb card reader to my pc.
(I can't post images yet, hopefully someone with >10 posts can hotlink it for me).
Really urgent because I have to use it for my lecture notes in school.
If you want a workaround on this issue, you can use a cloud storage app. For example, dropbox (go to my signature and click the dropbox logo) can allow you to transfer files without even plugging your Xoom into your computer
Managed to solve the issue by doing a complete memory wipe on my internal hard disk but backing up important files before hand w dropbox as the files are still accessible with astro.
No idea how this happened though.
It's called MTP. Hahahaha in other words windows sucks.
Really what happens is the file list directory isn't updated so it doesn't show up on explorer. I don't even use explorer, I just use ADB push or pull.

I have Fujitsu M532 tablet, when i tried to install WiFix from flash zip file, I started it in Recovery mode (by pressing power and volume just after green logo shown on startup), I then selected update from external storage, a list of FOLDERS of SDCard has been shown to me but no FILES shown!
I checked each folder, but files in sub folders did not shown too.
I tried to format SDCard, but nothing changed
Please help me!
I own a MOTO G & have been facing this weird issue while copying/moving files from my phone to PC.
After selecting all the files in the phone explorer (mtp mode) & trying to copy them to my win8.1 notebook, the process automatically terminates/window vanishes midway. There's no error/warning thrown but all files do not get copied. I have tried to do the same thing many times but failed everytime. I tried to copy 6GB of files/folders. Everytime only 4GB gets copied & remaining (some folders with data) left out. why is this happening ? is this because they are being copied in mtp mode ?
I have format my phone in TWRP, but when Im using enable mtp and the catalog opens in windows and Im inside the phonedrive and press copy the copy message starts but nothing gets copied.
Anyone here who have had the same problem?
I rooted my phone just now and added some lines in the platform.xml file, for read-write on sd-card purposes. I had the back-up on that specific file and placed it in the SD card, of course. THE PROBLEM is, after I rooted and changed the lines, I had changed my mind and unrooted my phone, WITHOUT replacing the platform.xml file. After I rebooted, the system runs fine, but the keyboard, installed apps, bluetooth and everything else crashes, except Wi-Fi. I still have the file on my Sd card, I just can't open it because the internal and external folder wont show any file.
I tried inserting my phone on my computer, it won't read.
I tried doing a hard reset, but it freezes on the animation.
I NEED FREAKIN' HELP, PLEASE! :crying::crying:
EDIT: I tried inserting my phone again via usb cable, and I can see that my computer reads the mtp, but does not actually let me view the files. Does using the adb.exe fix the problem? I have to replace the file from my pc so that, maybe, the phone will work again.

You'll probably have to flash your stock firmware via whatever PC flashtool your device uses.
Or root your device again then edit the xml
