Does Rogers have wifi hotspot enabled

Hi all - loving this phone.
I am on Rogers.
Silly me but just as I got the phone i rooted,, updated the radio and the newer AT&T ROM, etc. Without checking out what features Rogers enbled. When I try to enable the wifi hotspot after making all those changes i get a system error.
Is wifi hotspot enabled in Rogers?. If so does anyone know how enabled it or what custom ROM to install to make it work?

No it is broken on mine too.
Need the /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/database.db file from a Rogers RUU or ROM.
If we had that it would work I think.

Q: Rooted unlocked, can't get wireless tethering working

I can't get hotspot working.
Everytime I enable hotspot, it says something like "please add hotspot plan on your metro pcs network"
I tried installing various ROMs to see any of them work such as Paranoid android, Grievous Flex, and so on.
I also tried "Enable Tethering in AT&T KitKat using SQLite Editor" Found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2668453
Also tried "[MOD][10/22/13] - AT&T Tether hack - D80010d Base - No SQL stuff, just flash and go!" found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2493978
None of those methods worked.

I have AT&T G2 unlocked and using for Metro PCS (using t-mobile's apn)

Verizon m8 on T-Mobile wifi calling

Just bought a Verizon m8 and I'm looking for a rom that will allow me to use it with T-Mobile and it's wifi calling. Anybody know if there is such an animal? It is rooted, S-off and super Cid. Would also be nice if media link HD worked. thanks in advance.

Venom rom with tweaks during install. I'm currently writing up a how to, but basically you change your mid to tmobile and copy a boot.img into the venom rom 5.0.2.
Now, if you're currently not on MM, you will have to update your radio firmware.
A word of caution, the data will be unreliable on MM until you configure up bands with DFS. Essentially if you are moving around between data types, you may lock up your data and require a quick airplane mode on/off to get data back.
You may be able to accomplish my workaround with the lollipop version of venom, haven't tested.

Sprint S5 (g900p) MM 6.0.1 QA2 stock odex, native hotspot issue

Hey!
i have problem with my hotspot...
Flashed with odin last PL2 and OTA to QA2, rooted and unlocked hotspot with idones.apk 3.1.8.
Now, "Hotspot" in settings menu. I can activate hotspot, but cant to connect with another device. Stuck on "Obtaining IP adress". If i connect with static IP, doesnt work internet and any data for share. Hotspot icon disappears from notification panel.
pls help anyone... i have tried to edit services.jar and apns to "dun".

if hotspot is something you use a lot, install @tdunham 's ROM and you will never look back! It's PK1, but it doesn't really matter much. I have been more than happy with that rom.

Thanks... I have used that ROM. Hotspot didn`t work. @tdunham said that hotspot works only on sprint carrier. I am using my phone in Central Asia on another carrier. Is there anyone uses hotspot with another carrier?
P.S. on lollipop i could unlock hotspot with idonesapp, but not work on marshmallow.

Yea, I use virgin mobile (subsidiary of sprint) when i am in USA, but I also use the same phone (G900p) in Europe with Vodafone (using it right now). I did a clean flash of his rom, and hotspot works just fine with vodafone. I can also go to More Networks->mobile networks->access point names, and I am able to add/modify my own APNs (I am also able to modify apn by typing ##3282#->view, just like I used to do it in lollipop).

Wifi Calling and Custom ROMs

Hi all, I have a question; At my work we have very spotty coverage, so the lack of wifi calling is an issue for me. Is it possible to get wifi calling by unlocking the bootloader and flashing a lineage or RR ROM? If so, is there any reason I can't flash a custom ROM over the current version of stock firmware? (I have the H3223 model)
Also, if for some reason I can't flash a custom ROM, would it instead be possible to flash one of the European stock ROMs onto my phone and instead enabling wifi calling that way?

Kind of the price you pay when you buy an unlocked phone. It was a miracle that the xz premium got WiFi calling. So the odds of someone here building something that turns it on is slim. Custom roms might have the option in the menu but it's essentially a placebo on most roms

I bought the phone from amazon and when I wiped it and put the stock freedom mobile rom on WIFI calling was available (and worked) for me. Now that i'm on lineageOS for the Android 10 stuff its gone again.
