Its not bad, but it could be better. It looks like u lose signal a few times throughout the day. The phone searchin for signal will def drain ur battery. That was really the only thing i noticed. Looks like ur awake time and screen on time r pretty dead on (better than mine) so ur peob not havin wakelock problems. Do u use the facebook app? It is a huge battery hog.

I like the Friendcaster app for Facebook. It does everything the official app does and it's a lot more resource-lean. It's also easier to use, IMO.
I use the mobile sites for fb and twitter n it def saves on batt life. I also turn off google location (only turn it on wen i need navigation). And also lower the brightness of ur display to abt 20% or so

Also runs a ton faster.
Properly configured, Friendcaster uses C2DM for notifications which is already running anyway, so there's nothing extra polling in the background.

I've got notifications disabled with Friendcaster and it uses 1mb of RAM when it runs in the background. The upside is that I have the option of "sharing" with my other apps.
I'm one of those annoying people who always posts pics of their kids and articles that no one else likes to read, so having this option is important to me.

No. That is not true. BUT you are right. Task killers like ATK and others do nothing for battery. All that they do is screw up the way that gb handles your ram. Do not use. Period. They DO NOT help you.

+1 I never use aftermarket task killers, the built in one is way better. I have a shortcut on the home screen that I use often. Usually I kill all tasks and clean RAM when shutting off the phone (If I have been using apps). Yes I use Data and Wifi. Over half of the time on the screenshot was with both on. The new modem has made a pretty good difference as far as I can tell. Some of them are really bad on battery, I've noticed L2 is one of the worst. Probably the biggest factor is uninstalling a few apps that were keeping my phone from going into deep sleep. An Alarm app was the worst culprit, and a couple of others with automatic notifications that I disabled. I hate automatic notifications.
I have no idea how to fix this. I've tried three roms eaglssblood ice singhui and Hellfire Phoenix. I installed Trinity on Phoenix yet it is still draining battery. Why?

Try calibrating your battery.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
There is a rogue app in your drawer. download watchlist app, it will keep track on other apps which are hogging your system.
Battery calibration won't and doesn't do anything useful... its more then likely an app or something running constantly. What's your screen on times? Post a screenshot of your battery usage.

I'm on 2.3.4 with practically all the bloat and more removed, holy hell battery is terrible for me... if testing to find rouge apps doesn't work I'm gonna factory reset and just not install any thing. Today I didn't hardly use my phone (no work) sat around on the computer, paid some bills watched some movies and TV, sent two text messages and read 3 emails battery was at 65% after 3 ½ hours... 3 of which was idle time and screen off. Never had it so bad before.

Im on scv6....the phone and contacts mod didnt seem to work but i dug deeper and found this radio mod and its a noticeable difference indeed!
Sent from my MB865 using XDA App
Checking it out now...I haven't noticed much of a difference. Hardly any of the other settings in the first menu of Spare Parts on SCv6 work, the regular Spare parts stuff works as normal. I've been playing around with it since installing SCv6, I got excited with all of the options in there but the excitement died when I could get almost nothing to work.
This sounds cool, but surely there is a catch if it randomly improves speeds so dramatically, right? Does it shorten the lifespan of your phone or something (lol)? And what exactly does it modify to achieve this speed boost?
My downloads are faster, net based apps like xda, engadget and sac bee load up faster, even gmail loads and syncs faster. This is how it should be!

I would like to know where I can get this. There's a lot of talk of how great it is, but no talk of where to get it. I know there is a spare parts app on the store.
Or is this something that is a mod on the ROM you're using?

Took the .apk and incorporated into another. Hit 10520kbps without Hotweiss' Radio mod, and after enabling the mod I hit 106960kbps on data speed test. So far, so good... I'll keep playing with it, but seems to be a winner as far as I can tell!
I've noticed some minor improvement, but I seem to have a less reliable connection.

Well some of us don't know many reasonable woman, you would think or hope it would be as easy as just using another app, unfortunately it's not always easy to talk some woman into doing things, even something as simple as installing an extra app to talk to you, no the guy has to just live with the fact the stupid app she uses to talk to everyone for some reason hates specific phones and uses 10% battery per hour even when it is supposed to be idle/sleep.
Uninstalled Gallery and installed Quickpics.
For some unknown reason, Gallery has started to work uncontrollably and use the battery up in less than six hours making my phone a portable pocket heater. Using titanium backup I uninstalled Gallery and the problem went away. Now I get normal battery life.
