I'm think you can do this in recovery. Just pretend you're partitioning your sdcard except set the ext partition to 0mb and swap to 0mb.

You need to format the sdcard again after setting to 0 to get the whole memory again,or else the partitioned memory wont be visible.

D'load "partition magic" or such software to ur pc.connect ur sd card with the help of a card reader to that pc. Then do "merge partition".It should delete the partition.BTW don't forget to make a backup of ur sdcard.

The simplest way : insert ur memory card in some nokia mobile den open ur memory card format n u r done. Other method : go to setting in ur phone go to storage and format ur sd card.

I have deleted partitions by just reformatting the sd after mounting while inserted in the phone

What if i made a partition and now i can't retrieve the information i had before partitioning? I'd like to some how delete the new partition and be able to use the data i had before. I don't want to format! I just can't get to the partition with the data.

If u partition from recovery,ur sd card is already formatted and u cant retrieve data back unless u have a backup on ur pc.Dnt know about pc tools for formatting.

Use gparted on Ubuntu (you can put it on a CD or a memory stick and make it bootable - with poweriso - and boot into live CD, no need to actually install ubuntu, but after you try it you will, try with wubi to avoid partitioning)

Thanks a lot dude it helped me....

I think mini partition should do the trick, you can delete the ext partition, and then resize and expand the fat32 partition and integrate the fat32 partition with the unallocated partition created after deletion of ext partion

Increased phone memory..

hey guyzz...
i found many posts discussing how to increase phone memory.....so here is the solution for it...
i found an app in the market to increase phone memory....
her is the link for that app...
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.seasmind.android.gmappmgr&hl=en
"THIS IS ONLY FOR ROOTED USERS".
I increased my space upto maximum extent.
"DONT FORGET TO PRESS THANKS IF I HELPED U"
It doesn't increase phone memory..
It frees up more internal memory..
they are two different things..

Cmiiw..
To use A2SD aka DarkTremor, you should set partition on your sdcard first.
You can do that via CWM Recovery..
But backup your Sdcard first, coz the partition process will wipe all of your data..
Ya its actually frees the internal memory.sry for my bad english

FAT32 is primary sd card format
ext4 is partitioned sd card format

yeah all the steps are correct just don't restore backup
you even will not need to wipe anything just backup the data of the sdcard
@samo_gf
if you use android to mount your sdcard ext partition will not show up but if you will use a card reader that ext partition will be mounted
why can't I restore? so sad!!!! does that mean I have to install all my apps again?
you can't restore because no wiping is needed and for a backup purpose use titanium backup

Help! I am new to partitioning sdcard

Hello friends I am on rasheds cm10 and I want to partition my sdcard so how much of it we need to do
I have 16gb sdcard
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
I think it comes down to personal preference more than anything. I've got 2048 ext4(which some people might say is too much), 0 swap and the rest as fat32.
Also on a 16gig card.
I'm using link2sd and I know that A2sd, D2ext and Int2ext work but some scripts might not work with ext4 and the size of the ext partition might be limited.

Actually partitioning 1gb of memory is enough for our phones. And use swap if u want to have more ram. I personally perefer using ext4 as it is.the fastest out of the ext partitions.

Hi I have 1 gb for link2sd and i think that this amount is enought.
To partitioning I used mini partition tool, in this case I used ext3 because with ext4 I had a problem with another phone.
Also, keep in mind that the 1st partition should be formatted FAT32, the 2nd partition EXT, and the 3rd partition as SWAPFS (optional, only if you want to enable swap). Do not create the partitions in some other order.

Good question. Go through the normal partitioning process but set both Swap and Ext to 0mb, maybe?
EDIT: Seems Amon Ra will let you set things to 0mb.

Using minipartition tool, select partitions, delete them, later select all unallocated space created and create a new singular partition.

Just go into storage settings in normal mode and format the card, it will delete all partitions and make them as 1

With Junior Einstein method you can't delete a partition but you can only delete files that you can find in (and only) data partition.
And no, not in all partitions, this procedure delete files only in data partition, and yes, Junior Einstein method wipe the fat32 storage partition, allenwalker1998 said only data not the partition and this is correct; at the end the partiton is formatted, not deleted.
To remove/change a partition you have to use a specific tool that can be one like minipartition tool or something else.

If you use mini partition tool, you don't need to format your sd card to partitioning it. You have to use the command resize (for your actual fat32 partition) and later on created free spece use command create a new partition. I personally tested this and all my data are safe, this procedure will NOT erase your data but anyway you need a pc also to use minipartition tool and have a backup before any modification is a good idea.

Backup sdcard on pc. Goto recovery(yannous recovery recommended),advanced, create partition, select ext4(I guess u need to boot sense, it will work fine). Sdcard will be formatted and partitions will be created. Even though you would have selected ext4 in computer sdcard will be read as ext3.
Hope this helps.

I don't know about TWRP 2.4.
I use TWRP 2.2, and the partition creation option gives you options about choosing the ext size, swap size and the file system.

You might be able to use any of the gazillion partitioning tools available for Windows. Minitool, Easeus Partition Manager, and all the likes give you the options of converting the partitions (directly) to ext4, too. But, since ext partitions are evolved around Linux, Gparted, and its likes, could handle the Partitioning and converting (directly) job better.
