Hi,
is there any possibility to enable the USB Host Mode on my Desire S with CM Alpha (20120602)?
I would like to transfer Files to a GPS-Device which has only a USB-Connetor.
Any Ideas?
Needs to be enabled in the kernel and I believe the CM9 kernel doesn't have it. You also need an OTG cable.

Ongoing kernel 3.0 development work by Nexx tells that USB Gadget Support is functional, See CM9 thread by Nexx

Ok, then i will wait for kernel 3, I guess!
Do I understand it right, that only my phone must be OTG-compatible?
Or is ist neccessary for my GPS-Device, too?

It should work the same on the One XL if you have a kernel allowing OTG.
Thanks for the support, we are working hard to make this happen :fingers-crossed:
Hi,
I saw that the people of bcmon.blogspot.be developed drivers for the bcm4330 (The wireless chipset for the Galaxy Ace 2).
They can be found here: http://code.google.com/p/bcmon/source/browse/trunk/bcm4330/#bcm4330/driver/src/bcmdhd
They are available as a binary for the S2 (Same chipset), but it seems like they should be built for CyanogenMod (Which we don't (yet?) have).
Could anyone give me an idea on how to build them?

Hello,
I've installed the M2 then r140 on my Nexus 4 in 4.2.2 and have since frequent USB modem drop that I never had before with the official and rooted versions.
I've had this without modifying kernel parameters.
Any hint ?
Thanks,
Emmanuel
On a second though, it looks like it is an USB issue:
- when I plug the USB, charging goes on but I need to deconnect/reconnect the plug so the USB be recognized to use it as a modem
- when my PDP changes (IP renewal), there is no deconnexion
Thus I guess this is an USB issue, any idea ?

Why you don't post here : Google Nexus 4 > Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
I think that someone should give you a answer, and you have right to post to this forum, not to development but to the N4 General and Q&A without problem

cant find the ZTE970 kernel in that thread
I have CWM and the latest custom FW (1.3) and have done the repartitioning in the ZTE 970, but now it doesn't see the external SD card.
In the thread it says:
Question: After installing Android 4.1 based ROMs, I'm not able to access sdcard anymore, even though it is accessible via CWM recovery.
Answer: Due to hardware differences between models, the included kernel is not compatible. The alternative is to flash the latest V970 kernel compiled by @superdragonpt, which can be found here.
Well, I went there, and I cant find that kernel posted anywhere. The first 3 posts are empty.
I pressed thanks, but still nothing.
Am I such a noob? What am I doing wrong?
I just want to be able to see that microSD card.
Can someone help me and tell me where is that kernel?
Thx.
Hi
Some nasty things ocurred on my xda threads and GitHub.
Currently im in The process of re-uploading all my files
Tomorow all kernel versions will be up ( i hope)
Offtopic: we got kitkat running on our device ( still on alpha /beta States)
/offtopic
Regards.
thanks.
I found a solution doing the following:
I downloaded the above mentioned 1.2 zip file, put it in the microSD and flashed it from CWM.
Then the phone stuck in a boot loop with the 4 colored circles dancing around.
I then reflashed the ROM I mentioned (the last 1.3 custom ROM that I got from this thread),
and not only did the phone work again ok, but it still holds the 2.49 internal memory partition AND it sees the microSD now !!!
I am too noob to explain this, but works just fine for me.

Hello fellow PACs.
(Possibly) quick question on otg and PAC ROM. (Apologizes if it has already been asked)
Recently been using a otg ready memory stick to store photos and what nots..I had noticed in settings that under the information for apps there was an option to move to USB storage.
However when I select it it gives me not enough storage space on device.. It is a 32gb stick which have tried formated in both fat32 and NTFS yet it doesn't seem to work.
Do I require an additional app to fulfil this request or must I change kernel.. Would be greatful for some advice or guidance to a post explaining it:good:
Once again apologizes if it has already been asked
