i think you need either to clear everything and reflash the KDZ file
looks like(someone correct me if i am wrong) there's an corrupted system file
i had this problem once i restored my nandroid backup...but since you are on stock...which probably not rooted...you need to reflash the KDZ
i hope this helps
Make a backup with 'my backup' go to recovery and whipe data etc. That shuld do otherwise wipe everything and Then flash new Kdz.
Just remember if ur doing the nandroid backup with version 3 or 4 do attempt to restore with v5 or else u might brick ur phone.

You could always re-flash the rom again, or go under settings-applications-market-force close-clear app data. See if that helps, then delete your google account and re-setup.

If your device is booting, then just reflash with odin again. You might also need to do a factory/reset wipe after backing up critical data (such as TiBu backups, and backups from SMS Backup and Restore)
Also, only use the "restore system data" feature of TiBu when restoring from the EXACT same ROM. Otherwise you'll wind up with all sorts of weird problems.
The only times you're completely hosed are:
1) Your USB port is physically damaged and you can't charge or connect in any way
2) You flashed a bad bootloader (so far has not happened to anyone here other than Aou and he was an experimental volunteer) and have the "black screen hardbrick"
Soo I rooted my infuse, then after messing around with it and changing roms back and forth the phone got stuck on the samsung logo so then I performed GTG's Ultimate Unbrick. The phone was complelty reset and works fine BUT now I cant download apps from the Marketplace. It goes through the normal process but never actually downloads. What should I do? Any help is apprecaited
This has worked for me in the past when I had that problem :
Settings / applications / manage
Applications / all / market / clear data
Hope this helps

Factory reset after Odin back to stock and rooting settings privacy factory reset. That'll fix it for you.

If your just "stuck" at the samsung logo and had previously flashed a custom rom then you still have recovery....pull battery 3 button back to recovery do a complete wipe and flash another rom...if you dont have one on your phone, go to apply update zip and choose yes...your recovery should be green now...then go to mounts and storage>mount usb storage and now your computer will recognize your sd card and you can transfer another rom on your phone and flash...youll be all good then...

It's a friends phone and to be honest he can't handle the power of the root. He has no idea how to handle issues. I just want the phone to work normally. I flashed it back with the ultimate unbrick which unrooted it I believe but now the market dosent download apps. I just want the phone to return to out of the box normal working.
Please advise on how to fix the market not downloading.g

Go to settings>privacy and do a factory reset...the reason you cant download apps is because google talk authentication is failing...it happens sometimes on unbrick....a factory reset from phone will solve this..

Same thing happened to me before. I flashed it again with odin and that fixed it.
I'm kinda new at this but I switched my rom and kernal to lotherius 2.3.4 and was wondering if I need to switch my kernal back to stock or keep it... I want to switch to eaglesblood and don't wanna brick my phone once again (have one being used as a paper weight right now)

Every ROM should have a kernel cooked into it (99% of the time). Your phone will not boot if it lacks a kernel. When you flash a new ROM ensure you factory reset, wipe cache, and format system before flashing the new ROM. The only time you need to worry about flashing a kernel on a ROM is if you would like to change it, or in the rare case, if it lacks one.
Thanks so much

No worries man, I know what it's like to be unsure and its irritating. Just make sure to backup any apps you have, because wiping obviously will return the phone back to "stock" thus lacking apps and current system settings (alarm ect.)
Edit: I recommend titanium backup for backing up and restoring apps.
Cool one more question if u have the time. I went to install the new Tom and clockworkmod tells me it can't mount system I looked around on the fourms and could find a solid solution.?

Are you using ROM Manager? If so, that may be why... it has been buggy for a while it seems, but I always flash manually so I wouldn't know where it's at now. Boot into recovery by holding power and volume down (when the phone is off) and let go when the LG logo changes to another logo. From there do the three wipes (factory reset, cache, and format system) then flash ROM and reboot. (Format system is under mounts on the main screen)
K trying today ur a life saver

I flashed the file from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2030282 and now my Galaxy S III mini doesn't work anymore.
Every 5 seconds I get messages that thouchwiz and android.somethingsomething crashed.
I couldn't even restore to factory settings over the settings screen.
I don't want to know how to fix this, I just want to restore everything to its original state.
How do I remove everything root related?
I just want to have the original firmware on my phone
Sorry if I didn't include any essential information.
This is only my 2nd day with an android phone and I don't know what I'm talking about.
Things I know:
I have a
GT-I8190
I flashed the .tar.md5 file in odin.
My phone got completely screwed up and everything is crashing.
Error messages:
"Unfortunately, TouchWiz Home has stopped."
"Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped."
" ", Software Update has stopped."
" ", android.process.acore has stopped."
tl;dr:
How do I restore my S III mini's original firmware?
Alright, sorry, for the double post, but I think I made some progress. I was able to do a factory reset through the settings menu.
Don't know why it worked this time, but at least that's some progress.
Now, I want to remove the custom firmware (what I did when flashing the odin file was install a custom firmware, right?)
Well, anyway, I want to undo the odin flash thingy.
How do I proceed?
I think you should search for the stock rom files, and flash them via odin. Same as how u did flash your custom rom. Guess your phone would be clean after.

but my phone keep restarting every 1 minute if i use it
but if i don't use it, its ok
can someone help me plz???
and how can i connect to network provider???
i can't get a signal to make calls???
You have to flash V18 baseband if you are in Europe. If you are in America you can search the forum and see which one people use.

thnx bro
can you give me link how to flash basebands
i tried using smartflash but not working
and i am from africa ... do you know best BB for me or for middle east?
AW: phone keep restarting o3d ics??
You dont have to flash new baseband, make a factoryreset it work, had the same problem. Go in twrp or cwm and do a factory reset
Edit: but you need the right baseband too, you flash it via smartflash like xbsas ics but tgis time you choose only fls file. Which baseband you need can you watch in baseband thred for first ported ics.

the same annoying problem!
I have exactly the same problem. After flashing xbsa's ics my phone keeps rebooting like...crazy!! I flashed with smartflash both fls and bin twice and also performed factory reset but no luck at all!!
If i flash only fls of the baseband will the problem be solved?? Any other suggestion?what shall i do in order that my device works normally with ics??
And last but not least:is rooting a bit complicated or is it my idea??Thank you in advance
AW: phone keep restarting o3d ics??
After you flash ics and your device works normally, you have to root it and to flash recovery, i consider you to use OS_Hackings All in one tool its easier.. you said you flash xbsas portet ics and the device keeps restarting every minute, but did you have after flashing the rom a factoryreset in recovery?

i also tried to return back to GB but whatever i do my signal is still lost Is it the smart tool which does not flash properly or is it my fault??I can't figure it out!!
just close wifi and all other connections like gps data sync
and 1 more thing connect your charger and everything should be fine
i had the same problem and i did that anf problem fixed
and about signal i think v18a works for most people if not try restoring your imei and signal should be back
i had same problem too but i flashed BB v18a and signal is back
