hey i was goin through galaxy ace development blog just like that and found out there are more roms than what we have and some of them are even supported by cyanogen mod. :| i think this it would be premature to rate our roms already. lets acknowledge their efforts and hope we get many more and much better roms from them

where is nexus rom man??

UltimateSL by Rex4u has not ever been released so remove that, some of other roms which people have been using are not on list such as Gitaxian by Namaless

DarkGenMod by Namaless are great rom.

first of all, i think that this poll won't be any good cuz in my opinion everyone will choose the ROM that they are using.
i think that ONLY people who have tried a few of these custom roms should vote because they experienced more than one rom....
anyway, good idea for a poll, hope it could give us a direction for the best cusrom ROM for our device.
btw, i have the Gitaxian (that u didn't put on the list) and it works great =]

Cranium is the best ! I can see it has the highest rating in this poll !

I tried many ROMs. Nearly all. Namaless beta v20 bootup is still the fastest.
Anyway, he has stopped developing Gitaxian (KPH) and revert to XB3.

Namaless beta v20 is Gitaxian?
i have Gitaxian and im wondering if to change it to another rom, but actually it works great and its pretty fast so i dont wanna mess with it =]

A suggestion, why don't the rom developers use jpkp5 instead of xxkph. I believe its more stable.

Namalless V20/V21 were XXKB3 based ....then he made XXKPH based Gitaxian ....he was not that happy with GB. ....so moved back to froyo
Latest by him is DarkGenMod in Beta
(In my opinion - V20/21 is the best ever by him - in terms of stability and speed)

I wonder why developers leave the stability as secondary feature, I cant find gitaxian threads so dont know what made him leave gitaxian since I have heard a lot of praise for it from you & many others. To me stability is prime importance then comes features & speed reliability since I don't game much on mobile instead use it for my professional work.

1) Why is it very Difficult to develop a cyanogen mod or Miui (How do the devs go about the process) ?
2) Can you give some details about porting roms (I know dsixda's Kitchen has an option of porting and i does a very basic porting) ? once its ported using dsixda's Kitchen which tool is used for debugging for the errors which follow ?
3) Is there any other method of porting Rom's which is better ?

answer 1: there no proper source files for cm7 n miui thats y its very difficult ro make a stable version of em n the files we have r broken n even no documentatiion for them that's its difficult!!!! secondly lack of developers is also a main reason if team samsung wud have taken the work on their hands we wud have gotten cm7/miui by now....but unfortunately our devices are not so popular!!!!

you can use dsidia itself it has a option for checkin errors n for the bugs u have to corect them urslf by using brain like if some procees giving error replace its files with another rom's file!!!! thats wat i know if there is sumthing more i cant tell u as i dont know abt it

Major difference is that cm7 is based on gingerbread and cm9 is based on ice cream sandwich 4.0.3

Some suggestions...
The stock launcher does not provide the facility for wallpaper scrolling ... and is preaty mush lagie....so u can install apex launcher......its fast nd provide more flexibility...
Guys i was thinking to upload video for every cm9 with every update....discussion problems...whts nd what is not.....

Some more small problems.....
I m using it as my daily rom......known issues r known but some more minnor isues..
Wall paper scrolling...on stock launcher....using apex launcher but facing problem with widgets.....contacts problem....not able to show contacts directly from sim.....have to import to phone first(nt a big issue)...but when u sync ur google account....ur google saved contacts r shown....i dnt know why my account is showing a single contact 8 to 9 times....if u go to display options...nd unselect google contacts....u r left with 0 contacts.........nd if u go nd select show all contacts it will show u ur google contacts with...ur sim contacts.....the problem is sim is also messing up with google account.....solution-go to settings.....account setting....remove ur google accouny...then again sign in...then immediately go to settings then account settings nd dis sellect sync contacts..... ..

I just use the facebook app from market to sync all contacts ,have you tried it ??
And il flash the rom when i reach home on wed then il maybe be of more help

I tested it for a couple of hours. And was better than I expected, the phone was working reallly fast and smooth.
The most annoying bug/issue was that my Wifi wasn't working well, I couldn't find my Network.
I'll read about news, this'll be one of the best roms.

There is a quick and dirty fix for that. Just add a network manually, then scan. it works fine that way.
Indeed, ICS is very stable and fast on i9003, the biggest issue is probably Camera/Video.
Also, just as with CM7, no forms of tethering work. I use easytether.

It's so nice to see how this great ROM that is Cyanogen is developing, when i first get my I9003 i though there was little modding for this smartphone, thanks to Zeus it isn't like that!

Weird problem.. unable to download anything from either market or stock browser.. the downloading bar appears but nothing gets downloaded.. surfing is ok.. just no downloads.. there is free space in sd card..
Problem on wifi and 2g as well as 3g internet..
Downloads were fine the last time i installed cm9 for testing..

cm pk is not present where? Beta 1? Yes there wont be thats why i'm asking yout o not to download beta 1 , wait for beta 1.1 already 17% uploaded (but who knows there can be upload failures , yesterday i faced upto 7 upload failures)

yes the boot animation will be creeds, but only that(this time there no chance for getting into creeds rom)

I'm stuck at the SGY GT-S5360 boot screen. Still waiting though.

was using Hybrid 4, installed via cwm it says installation complete... but after reboot its still Hybrid... now flashed using stock recovery, stuck at boot logo... wating..

i think there is something wrong in the installation script or whatsoever, im no developer but i noticed that the CM9 he ported is not sticking with the phone. It does not replace your current ROM even though it says success in installation.

if this is the case , there must be some issues in permissions and update scripts , as i said i dont have a galaxy y,i will need to sort out each issues with each update for you , but next time , i will try to provide you with update package.thanks for giving the info

emanoN [ROM] for FIT ## Stock Firmware + CM7 features ##

Initial version for now. Based on S5670XWKTI stock firmware with 80% feature of CM7 compiled from sources and the usual features, hacks, and mods you find on other ROMs. OP is still work in progress. Credits, change logs, and, screenshots will be updated.
Releasing just for initial feedback if somethings are not working. This has been tested on my Galaxy Mini, everything works except camera which needs to be tested on Fit.

-Force close on any web app when you click drop-down bars on websites.
-Lockscreen wallpapers does not work on Samsung lockscreen
-Custom wallpaper images are not cropped properly

-Reboot is normal on first boot (after install or data wipe). I've added a script that does this to fix some back-end issues
-Some settings are intentionally disabled for the meantime until I figure out how they work (see I'm doing my homework)

God of galaxy mini forum...came to.fit with a gift thanx parasmi...I always wished to have emanon on galaxy fit my cousin have mini so always I update his phone with your versions...and was always kinda of jealous and your latest version was with all (almost) settings of.cyanogen that really was despairing for me seeing his phone with all those mods finally I also can rejoice with emanon (no name) ROM on galaxy fit

restarts alot . When opening camera it restarts . Also alot of CM settings not intergrated yet. Seems that rom would be wonderful but waiting for final stable release

oh i see thanks. i got it now. so will beni be updating more like tass did with new 07/09/2012 nightly versions.
beni's nightly is good but it has few bugs i believe. though appreciated his work. awesome rom. can u tell me where can i find task manager in it. i installed now beni's latest nightly which u suggested but in it i can't find task manager
and battery drains a lot very quickly. any patch or solution for it.

hey i download the latest nightly from beni 08/09/2012. but now i'm facing serious issues such as my phone hangs a lot. it lags like hell not working smooth. camera can't access i'm not bothered about camera as i don't want a camera but i want my phone to atleast function properly and not hang neither to lag. any suggestions from anyone. please help.
the sensors too are working like hell. very slow.
i love cynogen 10 and wan't to badly use on my fit. please someone guide me.
or may be the author beni can come up soon with a patch or soln to make it lag free rom and real quick fast with touch screen sensors too working fine without any lag.

i'm not complaining just reporting few bugs and requesting beni to fix out if possible. rest highly appreciated what beni has created. really wonderful rom though i'm not able to use as my phone hangs a lot and rom gets stucked and lags extremely badly.

firstly- BENI AIN'T AUTHOR! its the name of our phone, tass=mini , cooper=ace, beni=fit
did you do a clean install? wipe data,wipe cache, format data, format system, format cache..
it's working fine for me..
if its still not working for you, try GB roms..

is cyanogenmod 10 ROM stable for fit? bugs free?
whats the difference in cyanogen 7.2 and cyanogen 10?

Is it stable? Yes.
Is it bug free? No.
What's the difference? Google it.
Cm7 is based on gingerbread and cm10 is based on jellybean.

If there are bugs, they arent resolved
Just look the dev thread to see if there is a bugfree version, we're not an assistant for you.
Most of cm7 are bug free

Can't u read changelog? , open cm7.2 rc 5.5 thread and check the column named "WORKING" & "NOT WORKING".

Stop acting like a bunch of girls flaming each other.
cm10 is stable but has following bugs as observed by me after patches and on the latest port of cm10 from mini to fit
tutorial here :Tutorial to port cm10 & cm9.1 from mini to fit
1.No preview(camera working in all apps).
2.no voice search in google now.(work around exists)
3.battery drain.
4.no auto rotation(caused by camera fix).
5.gps takes long to fix on location.
6.Superuser doesnt remember app permissions(Cyanogenmod bug).
