Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket?

Anyone know if this is the same phone as TMobile's just rebranded for AT&T. It looks to have the same specs, however I am not sure what processor is it using.
nope that is a new version
it is already out on Rogers Canada, and Korea
that is the Hercules with LTE radio
I am definitely considering this phone, LTE finally. Coming out next weekend. root & CM7 will be great.
Does it support the same bands as the original SGS2?
No it's the same device as "Celox" earlier announced in Korea, with AT&T/Rogers LTE bands 4 and 17.
Here is the FCC filing: https://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas...ication_id=274317&typ=0602&fcc_id='A3LSGHI727

Rogers is also I727R, not AT&T nor Skyrocket

Rogers also sells the SGH-I727R also known as Galaxy S2 LTE up in Canada.
I don't have AT&T nor is my device called Skyrocket, and this applies to all Canadians who have the device from Rogers.
As such I would suggest to the mods changing the name of the main forum to Galaxy S2 SGH-I727R as opposed to making it associated to a specific carrier and making it easily accessible to Canadian users without confusion.
sorry but no
if you haven't noticed, this forum follows only and mainly phone releases from Europe as in UK, and USA, everything else are just extra, and any model that is the same as the ones released in either region, will just get grouped together.
Your forum, your rules.
I haven't noticed the Europe/UK/USA focus, as I don't look much at forums for devices that I don't have; so please forgive my ignorance on the matter.
I find it unfortunate that the Canadian market has come to be categorized as "extra". As usual we end up being the US underdog and end up being grouped under AT&T instead of having a generic carrier independent name that fits all.
I guess it is all about volume.
i totally agree with you there buddy

Hi,
I use my international variant S7(sm-g930f) on the ATT network, and they notified me that my phone will not work on their network in February 2022 because they are shutting down 3g in my area. They say my phone will not work on hd voice.
Two things I notice is that my phone does have 4g lte, and the ATT variant S7(SM-G930A) will still work on their network after Feb 2022.
So I am wondering, is possible to make my phone still work on their network by installing ATT variant firmware?
Thanks
