I have noticed that everytime I play hd videos online, the video player controls won't go away and just keeps on going on and off. I do have other video players other than the stock one, and I have no problem playing videos using the youtube app, or the stock browser. Playing videos offline is also not an issue, as this problem only occurs when I use other browsers like dolphin, and skyfire. Just to be clear, I am talking about just about any hd, or hq videos online from any site. Is anyone else having this issue? Is there a way for me to play said videos using another player? thanks.
P.S I am running on stock ROM.
If the videos are on either PutLocker or Nowvideo, you can use this. It plays the file in your favorite video player.

I have a Fuze-NAFT 4.6 STANDARD- phone and I have been trying to play some videos (nSTC-.avi.h263 codec encoded 640*480)using coreplayer. Video plays fine on phone but a blue flash appears every 2or3 seconds on the tv. Now all apps, youtube, CV, and Media Player works perfectly. Although I dont use media player to view videos because it cannot play .avi. Should I try converting for media player or is there a fix or reason y the blue flashes appear only when playing .avi(coreplayer)?
Don't feel bad it's not just you. I have had the same issue while using coreplayer and Tv out.
I would like to know if there is a solution out there as well.
tv out blue flashes Coreplayer
Great, now since im not the only person maybe we can get some help on the matter. I havent seen anything regarding the subject so all comments are welcome. Anyone find a way to watch their videos(movies dvd rips) using tv out without problems and what settings are u using to convert and for what player? Could solve alot of headaches!! I like coreplayer but whatever works is fine with me!
Have you tried going to video settings and changed driver from Qtv to direct draw.. This will fix it..
Yes thanks!! Its alright until cp2.0 is released.
Title pretty much says it all, I'm running the stock 2.1 AT&T rom.
Bueller....Bueller....
The captivate plays FLVs out of the box. If you are referring to online flash videos there are no apps that will add that functionality. The Skyfire browser offers access to some online flash videos, but I never had any luck getting that to work.
If you have an FLV on your phone it should play with no problem. My phone has trouble with some DIVX encoded videos but it has never failed to play a flash video.
Online Flash videos will not work unless you have 2.2
VPlayer works pretty well.
When watching streaming videos from websites is it pixelated on your device? I'm watching anime and dramas on sites and they are blockish looking. It did this on my pc back in the day with older divx/flash plugins as well.
(This isn't the case for sites like Youtube, etc. It is mainly on the anime sites).
It's because the resoluton of the video you are streaming is not high enough.
then the problem are with the videos you're watching. they must just be low-quality.
also, some sites stream lower quality videos depending on your connection speed, that can another thing to consider.
It's not those kind of squares that result from low quality vids.
The vids look fine on my desktop running at higher res.
These are little tiny squares.
try posting a screenshot.
The TF is terrible in playing flash videos via browsers. Check the videos on this site, for instance:

I also cannot play any flash video on the espn3 site on the TF. On my other computers, all these videos play smoothly. Even on my Gingerbread Nook Color and on the 2.2 HTC Thunderbolt, they play smoothly.
Apparently the Xoom or the Galaxy Tab has no trouble playing flash. So something's wrong with the Asus implementation.

I watched a vid on that site on my TF and my laptop..
Those videos are low quality and the TF looked better than my laptop..(it was smaller)
I've streamed videos from youtube and vimeo and they look great. it all depends on what's going in...to determine what's going out.
yes I found it pixelated too. tried dolphin HD and the video quality is worst than playing it on stock browser. I downloaded the video file (using firefox plugin), the quality is much better played on stock video player. so I presume the flash player used by the browsers are set to certain quality.

What's the problem with Ustream ? It's working fine here.
I get pixelation when viewing ad videos on websites. Doesn't bother me at all.

The Tegra2 does seem to do less deblocking that you might get on a system with more spare CPU power. Nothing to do with "pixelation" though.

You need to give more info, from where are you trying to watch it? How is the video acting? Just nothing, or terrible skipping, jumping, force close? Is the video flash? If it is, have you dowoaded adobe flash player?
Try watching the video with Chrome (the internal browser), on my Xoom, it plays the videos much better than the other browsers.
I just updated to the newest YouTube app and the video quality is just awful. I've selected the HD video option in app settings, selected HQ in video settings, but its the same.
Is there some trick to play HD video?
Also, my internet connection is not the cause of this, because I can play 1080p videos on my PC without a problem.

I've had problems with streaming HD video on the youtube app before, I just found it was the wifi, as in distance from the router. I could be totally wrong but it worked for me, you might also want to try playing them through the browser not the app, that also seemed to make them stream faster, good luck.
