On tmo galaxy s2, is there a way to access ringtones and notifying sounds, so that they can be transfered and used with other roms or on stock galaxy s2 rom?:

If you want your Android OS to recognize your MP3 as a ring tone, create a folder on your root SD Card called Media and then put a Ringtones subfolder in it. Put your MP3 ringtone in the Ringtones subfolder.
This also works for Alarms and Notifications.
SdCard\Media\Ringtones\
SdCard\Media\Notifications\
SdCard\Media\Alarms\
The next time you try to set an alarm, ringtone or notification, you will also see the ones you placed in the above directories along with the built in sounds.
Hope that helps.

Hi i just recently upgrade my samsung infuse 4g to Gingerbread ULCB3 all are ok the video but one thing i cant see is how to make mp3 music to set as phone ringtone i cant find it please teach me how thanks and more power..
I made a folder on the sdcard. Name the folder Media, make a folder in media called Audio. Make another folder in Audio called Ringtones, finally place the mp3 you would like in that folder. A folder called Notifications can be made as well if you want to add your own notification sounds

Stupid question but is this possible? I like how my tab separates my movies and camera videos but that doesn't happen on my Samsung S2. Of course I know my S2 is gingerbread and there are multiple apps out there that can separate but I was wondering if I can install the tab 7.0 player into my s2? if yea, does anybody have that apk file? I like to keep the stock player since i can lock it for my daughter.
not likely, try it, probablyy get error parsing package, 7.0 plus .apks are built for API 13 (honeycomb 3.2), you would have to decompile, change any software checks, most likely in manifest.xml (min sdk/api level, etc.)rebuild .apk for gingerbread api min.
even then not guaranteed to work 100% percent.
Can Any help me to customize my android File association icon i mean the icon for music like mp3 and for picture like Jpg etc on my Samsung Galaxy Fame GT-6812 [Rooted]
I want to use an old samsung galaxy s7 in my acura as an mp3 player. it logs in to the car as a galaxy s7 phone and thus blocks me from using another phone as the phone.
I need to teach the s7 how to use bluetooth and not identify as a phone but as an mp3 player

Hello, it isn't possible without modifiing device identification on the EFS partition but then the phone won't identify as anything and your car won't pick it up anyway.
Obvious soloution is to by an mp3 player, super cheap everywhere.
