I was actually checking out the G2x.... I may get that one. But I see its on 2.2 and no cm rom for it yet. But very appealing with all the speed it has though.

Anyone else????

currently it is Samsung Galaxy S 4G
The MyTouch 4G is a beast of a phone. And the amount of things going on right now in our dev section is amazing.
Ok, i have a upgrade available from ATT. If you had one available what would you get that is better than the inspire if anything on ATT? please post why and which smart phone...
I'd either get an Atrix or wait for new phones to come out soon.

I would get a healthy dose of wait, and defenitly not an atrix.

Currently, the HTC Inspire is hands down the best phone ATT has on there list. If your an Apple Fan then the Iphone 4 is probably what you want.
But in all honesty, I would wait for the HTC Holiday to launch. Talked to an HTC rep the other day that said the phone would be available on the ATT Market by the end of the year at the latest.
I would wait for the HTC Holiday/Inspire HD
I would also wait for the htc holiday. However if i had to upgrade it would be the nexus s
I DON'T LIKE SIGNATURES...
I would get an Atrix. No offense to anyone in this section, but it runs better than my Inspire did.

I don't think ATT has anything that is an upgrade to the Inspire. Yet. They will before the end of the year. I would definitely wait to see what comes.

I'm not getting anything else until there is a kick butt dual core processor option. In the mean time I'm content with the Inspire. Got it running sweet on all cylinders.
I would get nothing with a cheap plastic housing that is going to cost you twice as much as the Inspire to get. Get the Inspire or just wait. I would wait, unless you really need a phone now.

Wait for the inspire hd/holiday.

If you absolutely need a phone now, get the inspire. Otherwise wait for the holiday.

Hopefully they will be better than the Galaxy S was, though that might be setting the bar a bit too low.......
I would hang on and wait for the next gen phones due out later this year, maybe a dual core model.
Honestly, I would either wait for the iPhone 5 to hit the shelves (or wait for the masses of idiots waiting in line to buy one to move out), or wait for the Holiday to come out. Depends on which OS you prefer, but those would be top end for iOS and Android respectively
LOL I F'D up on the title here. I just wanted opinions from you owenrs.
My birthday is in a few weeks and I am going to be getting a new phone and I have been looking at this phone off and on.
I am a smartphone fanatic and I've owned a Vibrant in the past before my parents switched over to Virgin Mobile. I currently own a Virgin Mobile LG Optimus V now *gag*
I only got it because it was either the Intercept or Blackberry at the time.
I am considering getting a refurb Galaxy S 4g or just getting a brand new one but i wanted to know...
As of today...What are your thoughts...Opinions about this phone?
Are you content with it? Do you regret it?
I was looking at a sensation, but aside from having a great camera on the back...I was not WOWED!. I don't need the latest and greatest but I am growing tired of this POS Optimus V and I Want something that is not too expensive but is a great fit.
Wait for the Hercules in a few weeks

Hercules, or even the upcoming HTC Ruby is quite a beast. It's pretty much a white supped up Sensation.
Hey, so I'm on a captivate now and have waited since may for the galaxy s II but it didn't release today.... so do you guys think I should keep waiting? At&t doesn't have the BEST selection of phones

i wouldnt regret getting the sgs2 after seeing reviews theres very little lag when having over 500 apps running. and with future android updates i see it still being accessible for the next 4 years....
Played with the gs2 at sprint the day it came out. Was thinking about jumping ship from big red to sprint. Phone was sweet and would trade my xperia play for it. Coming to At&t soon. My iphone buddy was with me and is now thinking of jumping into android.
my choice is sgs2
Thanks for the advice guys

or you can choose lg optimus 2x
wait ..... waiting is good ......
HTC MAGIC is the best
Or you can wait for HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio.
I'm thinking about getting a new phone soon... I wanted to pick up the HTC One X but reading about so many faulty devices over on the forums I'm kinda hesitant now. Still wondering whether or not I should make the plunge; on the other hand the 4S looks pretty interesting as well so that's also an option. So does the Xperia Arc S.
I need to get the phone before Julyish since I'm going overseas to study.
I don't see the newer phones (even One X, Galaxy S3) being much better than the G2x already. Sure they have ICS, but all the apps I run are fine on GB. Plus the extra cost to upgrade vs the ~$200 out-of-contract price of G2x on $30/mo plan doesn't justify it.
With all pricing aside, what's in ur opinion the best phone on the market right now?

I wana trade my g2x for a nexus s. Or sell and buy a sensation. Won't get a new phone cuz its first new Gen phone. So wait for the better improvement phones

S3 only thing that catches my eye now, waiting until the next nexus line looks, and if LG follows through ill upgrade and sell the phone, if not then I'll keep it is a backup and put the mt3g in my antique case with my g1

Galaxy Note for T-Mobile, Galaxy S 3 for T-Mobile, Nexus Tablet.
That is what catches my eyes but in reality, my G2X will do just well for like 4 years more just as my Etched Nexus one does. My G1 is just too slow now.
Sensation rocks because the developer support is unparalleled. But the S3 is fantastic, and if you want a big screen the Note is excellent. And the One X, while it does have a few kinks in terms ram management, its arguably the best phone out there. Tried it in the store and it is unreal fast

Don't u dare put that mt3g away. Mod: please get over here and change his name to traitor
Op: I'm 100% of all phones have problems, except for old nokias and such, you will be fine if u get a HOX. I'd get the s3 tho because I wanna try the touchwiz nature

Screw the carriers and their neutered phones. Sgs3 is getting a dual core across the board in the US. From now on, I'm only buying direct from Google and the carriers can take their contracts and shove them... if you know what I mean. I'm waiting for the next nexus, which should be available to buy by Thanksgiving.

I was going to get the s3 untill they took the quad core out of it.
I didn't really want to wait for the next big device to come out, so I just got a Galaxy Nexus. I really couldn't be happier. I still have my G2x to test some ROMs on and as to use as a backup phone.

.....Iphone
Look at the post for the s3 in the general section, and then look at the comparison for the new krait CPU that will be in the sgs3, yes it is a bummer that its only a dual core but how much utilization will a quad be used? With the research I've done I'm more then happy with what the stateside sgs3 has to offer just have to decide other things my previous post stated.
And don't worry my mt3g isn't going anywhere like my g1 its safe and sound lol.

I will definitely wait until November for the new Nexus or Nexi, (hopefully the rumors are true and 5 are launched).
Hopefully no knew phones come out at all, that way I don't feel like I'm behind, and I'm very competitive and I always want the best and the greatest.

Gs3 or an HTC phone

If I stick with android I won't buy another non Nexus phone. If the manufacture updates the phone any it won't be updated for long and in most cases 3 months later there will be a slightly refreshed version that comes along and goodbye support for the phone you got. I had a Samsung Vibrant well you know that support died when the Galaxy S 4G came out You all know the support on the G2X and I also have a mytouch 4G which is running 2.3.4 just like my G2X which I also don't see it getting updated either to ICS.
As long as I know the phone will have xda support and Dec community support from the manufacturer I'll get it. Like the sensation that thing is fully supported, the HTC Vivid that's on at&t is extremely supported, sh¡+ even the G1 is lol....

I jumped ship to the HTC One S. Besides the pentile screen it can hold its own against the One X, if not beat it at benchmarks and in my opinion just as good as anything Samsung is releasing. I love the overall build quality and feel of the One S and the 16gb storage is more than enough for me. I tried to love my G2x, I was even convinced that it was the best phone out there but the software/hardware issues finally got to me.
