[Q] ROM Manager Alternative - Samsung Galaxy R i9103

ROM Manager probably doesn't support the galaxy R yet, Any alternatives???

clockworkmod recovery with cwm.apk available in android dev section is much much better option than rom manager.

unknownzd's kernels have new 5.xx cwm but it has bug of not detecting external sd card, u can find it in dev section, if u wanna use that recovery with other kernels just extract recovery.img file and replace it with ur recovery.

You need to do a lot of reading and research. I'm sure there are guides in your device's section which could help you. Is your device rooted? Do you have a custom recovery installed?

Follow the instructions to flash a custom recovery (there must be a guide in your device's section). That's the only way to flash this ROM.

[Q] Help me to install CWM samsung s/sgh-t959v

Hi i am a big noob jejej i need help to install clockmod recovery on samsung galaxy s/sgh-t959v I have read the wiki of sgh-t959v
and i wanna install this ROM RemICS - UX ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766959 )
but I can not install clockmod recovery ( CWM 5.x Flashing via Recoveries (For CWM 5.x and above) )
I tried with the app .ROM Manager but the Samsung Galaxy s/sgh-t959v not supported. :crying::crying:
Would greatly appreciate if someone helps me to install this ROM on my phone Samsung Galaxy S/SGH-T959V
Sorry for my bad English
You need to flash one of the two kernels listed here http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S/SGH-T959V/Kernels via SGS Kernel Flasher which you can download for free in the play store. Then you will have to flash cyanogenmod 9 found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730954. After flashing the gingerbread kernel and then flashing the cm9 ROM, you will be able to flash the ROM you want. Follow the instructions on the threads according to the kernel or ROM. The Wiki is always the best way for answers.

I understand that you've been helped, but you need to understand that it's important to read all the posts that are stickied in all sections...including the wiki.
You'd learn everything you need to know, and you wouldn't need to post a random thread.

serious issue on S6312. PLS HELP
I flashed a wrong recovery image from cwm for my s6312 device by mistake (instead of flashing a mod I flashed a recovery image meant for a different phone). even that recovery zip flash went successful so I didnt doubt thinking I am actually flashing a mod. now when I gave restart system option, my phone does not turn on. (I guess it is hard bricked)
there is no vibration showing it turned on, cant boot into recovery or download mode using the combo key. but when I connect it to odin, it shows com13 and detects my phone...
however when I add rom and click on start, it stops at setup connection stage, no progress...
any help will be very much appreciated pls... and one more thing will a usb jig work to get it to download mode so I flash via odin
pls help me I am in a desperate situation.... thanks you so much for answers,..

When you say latest version of Cyanogenmod, I assume you're talking about CM 11.0 (KitKat)? If so then you need to install the latest version of CWM then flash the ROM.

In my TAB, my recovery is the Andy´s TWRP with F2FS support:
www androidfilehost com / ?fid=24052804347780134
Ok kool deal, so if i remember correctly u down load the recovery and put it on the base of the sd card, and then boot up in reovery and click the install zip which would install the recovery.
Now for the rom all i have to do is download it and flash it, do i need to flash anything else with it
