Hi i am a big noob jejej i need help to install clockmod recovery on samsung galaxy s/sgh-t959v I have read the wiki of sgh-t959v
and i wanna install this ROM RemICS - UX ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766959 )
but I can not install clockmod recovery ( CWM 5.x Flashing via Recoveries (For CWM 5.x and above) )
I tried with the app .ROM Manager but the Samsung Galaxy s/sgh-t959v not supported. :crying::crying:
Would greatly appreciate if someone helps me to install this ROM on my phone Samsung Galaxy S/SGH-T959V
Sorry for my bad English

You need to flash one of the two kernels listed here http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S/SGH-T959V/Kernels via SGS Kernel Flasher which you can download for free in the play store. Then you will have to flash cyanogenmod 9 found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730954. After flashing the gingerbread kernel and then flashing the cm9 ROM, you will be able to flash the ROM you want. Follow the instructions on the threads according to the kernel or ROM. The Wiki is always the best way for answers.

I understand that you've been helped, but you need to understand that it's important to read all the posts that are stickied in all sections...including the wiki.
You'd learn everything you need to know, and you wouldn't need to post a random thread.

[Q] Galaxy Ace GT-S5830D Koodo "network" problem cyanogen 7.1 kang

Hello... I am a new ( noob ) in THE XDA forum. So if I do a things that I'm not supposed to do, told it to me. ( I speak french so I will do my best I can )
Now the real things:
- I flash my GT-S5830"D" to cyanogen 7,1 ; 9, official, unofficial... What ever, with no * succes. (I dont now if the "D" is important)
The wifi always crash ( need to close and re-open it ), my ACE wont receive SMS or share it "sometimes" and the DEL brightness always change ( the screen become black and after it come like normal )
- I'm with Koodo ( TELUS ). I think that Koodo are the problem, because they make our Android OS and bla bla.
- If you cant help me for CyanogenMod, try to restore of my first OS.
-->I backup it with CWM 5, but it wont install it correctly. ( boot logo stay on the "Galaxy ACE bla bla..." )
Very big thanks.
P.S. if you help me and it work, I will work to help programing Galaxy ACE! I promise.

Yes I've try full or not with Odin and the firmwares install with no problem. It is when I open the phone problem start. I can rarely share a SMS or receive.
So I'm relly thinking that a need a special Koodo firmware or a developper who can create me a special firmware.
Okay,
First thing, CM7 will work with your Ace.
Second thing, you cannot use CWM to restore a backup of a stock ROM.
Third thing, check your APN settings. You are going to need to manually create a Sp.koodo.com APN with all the settings detailed inside.
Did you have any problems flashing?

Yes you cannot flash your stock ROM with CWM, flash it with odin instead.
About installing-uninstalling thing nope it will not break your motherboard and it has nothing to do with it
Just flash a different ROM via CWM 4 or 5. My favorite is the Myth, it's based on stock with a couple of nice performance mods. It works great on the Ace.
PS. Don't listen to Koodo, they don't know what they are talking about...

XD Koodo... So I flash The ROM you told and it seem to work... But today I reflash it because again it was laging. But I think it is a Koodo service problem. Thanks... If you have other firmware better than TheMyth, I will try it.

You may try flasing tj_droid Stocklite v6.. based on the latest firmware DDKQ8, Pure stock bareboned + Scripts - will definitely makes your phone smooth..
Try a new one
Well if u do wanna switch to cyananogen then why are u trying CM7.1??
Go for 7.2 and best try Miracle v4ROM on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583871
Just follow the simple instructions
Remember to adhere strictly to the instructions otherwise u can get into problem
After installing u will not see your messages..so in that thread some files like <All System Apps> are given..unzip them and put on ur SD..
then using any Root explorer paste those files (like mms.apk for messaging service) in /system/apps
Thats all...u will see a great ROM...extremely fast with ICS layouts..
Don't forget to hit THANKS if i helped..
resolved

To answer your question or anyone else's, you'll have to change the CSC to Telus/Koodo. But first make sure you're on a full-package DTLKI4 firmware
First, write down your IMEI that you find in About Phone > Status
Then go into your phone dialer and punch in *#272*your imei#
You'll have a list of CSC codes to choose from, and hopefully TLS/KDO will be on there.
Changing your csc WILL do a complete factory reset on your phone, so be prepared to do that.
Great thanks

[Q] GT-5113 Stock Firmware

Hi,
I want to know if there is any way to restore my tab to stock firmware? I can't find any links for GT-5113 ROM.
The reason to store the stock ROM is that I have installed CM9 on my tab and now I am unable to install Infected / Cleanrom. It hangs on Samsung boot screen after installing these roms via CWM.
Thanks.

As you realized AFTER the fact, creating a thread in development means you have something to offer to others,
not asking questions. FYI: I stopped using CM9 ROMs a long time ago because they frequently contain MANY
hidden bugs, only work properly when loaded with certain kernels, certain CWMs ... bottom line is you're
just one of the latest victims. Try a factory reset. Then ODIN the CWM in my Root thread. Then install
the ORIGINAL v1.0 CleanRom. It's the best of current custom ROMs and NO, we still don't have a stock GT-P5113.

Thanks, will try both the suggestions one by one.
The only problem with ODIN at the moment is that you can't reset the flash counter, I already have it at 3
Solved
Hi Glenn,
I was able to install CleanRom, by installing the CWM posted in your thread.
Thanks.

When you flashed the 5110 rom, did you have a problem with the language (Mine is currently in a foreign language)?
if so, when you flashed the Clean Rom did your tablet revert to the proper language?
Thanks
You can restore to stock using my guide. (link in signature) It should now be in English.

When you say latest version of Cyanogenmod, I assume you're talking about CM 11.0 (KitKat)? If so then you need to install the latest version of CWM then flash the ROM.

[Q] GT N7100 Phoenix Rom Installation (Newbie Here!)

I was about to post this question on Tamirda's thread, but I cannot as per XDA forum rules.
Hi XDA, Custom Rom newbie here!
I have a GT-N7100 running on Android 4.3 (N7100XXUEMJ9).
I followed the instructions from Tamirda's thread but cannot seem to install Phoenix Rom. I was able to root my phone using PhilzTouch_6.07.9 and SuperSU. Then i tried to install the zip of the rom using PhilzTouch, as the installation progress, the installation suddenly freezes. I have no idea why? I had tried this twice.
Another question, I read from the same forum to install the MJ5 bootloader, but when I flash it with Odin, it always freezes. I am now running on a rooted stock rom.
What am I doing wrong? I am so eager to install this ROM, help would be very much appreciated.
Thank You.

Hello mate, I am a newbie too and I flashed this rom onto my n7100 last week and works great. The problem is the version of Philz recovery is wrong, you MUST use version 5.15 to install this rom or it will freeze. I had the same problem as you but Philz ver 5.15 fixed it , install 5.15 then try flashing bootloader with Odin then install rom, good luck.from oz (THIS ROM IS AWESOME)
