Well I'm aware that out beloved Galaxy Royale supports USB on the GO for FAT formatted PenDrives(Correct me if i'm wrong). I would like to know if it also supports NTFS formatted external hard drives. If it doesn't do so inherently, can it be modded to support this feature??? Also can it support a FAT formatted external drive?

This app is only for ICS devices
I have searched and searched but if you are on GB then there's no alternative to flashing a kernel that supports mounting NTFS.

Buddy flashing rom/kernel dont cause any data loss unless u wipe ur data, but for safety always keep a copy of ur latest cwm backup so incase if anything go wrong u can restore ur backup.
Ardatdat's kernels r very stable and gives awesome results, 1.7 versions r beta but they r also stable and working fine, read kernel threads for info on which kernel is suitable according to ur fw, happy flashing

Hi,
have a new phone, i9003 here. Now i am a little bit confused what is todo to have a good beginning.
What i do:
- flashed XXKPE
- flashed XXPH
- rooted XXKPH
- installed ClockWorkMod from Skin1980
I read a bit over lagfix and CF Root. Is this a Kernel? I flashed the ext4-format.zip with ClockWorkMod and then Phone is not booting anymore I do reinstall KPE and then KPH and is working again, so any help what i should do next would be great. A lagfix would be nice or you have any other suggestions.
Greets
flash KPE
flash KPH
flash Skin1980's Cf-Root 05/09 thru odin - includes root, cwm and more
make a nandroid back up
start flashing roms that u like, then themes, mods etc etc
If you only want ext4 then you need to do a nandroid backup (cwm recovery backup) > install ext4 (do not reboot!!!) > then restore backup.. you will now have ext4 partition.. but i think skin's cf root will automaticaly convert it to ext4, but i'm not sure.

For EXT4 Conversion, Follow the guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1185362
For KPH, try Cranium or DarkGenMod or Nexus ROM. They have good responses
You dont need EXT4 conversion for custom ROM's..They have everything in them!
Ya correct..nowadays, all custom rom has built-in ext4 there..so no need anymore.. ext4 only for froyo..read skin1980 thread..

Actually ext4 for froyo is the one being used to partition ext4 in GB.

is this phone memory or sd card conversion to ext4 ?
I'm bit confused too because what I know is to convert sdcard to ext4 and became phone memory.
Since I used many custom ROM, what actually ext4 do in GB ?

Caution:
When you are running ICS on you mobile do not downgrade directly to GB using ODIN, if you flash any GB ROM (Stock/Custom) using ODIN your mobile will be bricked.
Live example is myself i have bricked my mobile by do this.
TO avoid this first you restore previous backup using CWM and then flash what ever you want using ODIN.
Even Unbrick your Galaxy R. 2. Downgrade bootloader to v2.0 guide wont help you, I have followed it but no use I have successively flashed stock rom by using this method but still no luck ..
I've created this thread to help all our users who are running ICS, Sorry I've haven't see that one more thread is there for this if you think its duplicate please ask Justin to delete it..
Thanks! Have you managed to un-brick your machine?
Actually, flashing thru odin is Samsung things and it will increase the counter. So, almost every time, I will customize the ROM to flash thru normal CWM flash zip process. At least, I am just 'copying' files to /system/ and all operations are controlled by the updater-script

Yes Ardatdat. I do the same thing. For all the Stock ROMs which i flash via odin, i used to make CWM package. I used to do that so that always i dont have to depend on my PC. Not for the baseband, But atleast for the PDA and CSC part.

Thx for the info buddy. Like to know once thing. When u tried to downgrade to GB via odin, what was ur ICS system info. Is it rooted.? Deodexed? Rooted Kernel? Because I feel Kernel is the problem here. The Kernel that came with this ICS is not a safest one. Ardatdat can speak more about it.
Thanks mj...

Hi all,
I'm a newbie with my new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 ( P3110 ) bought yesterday...
I've used android with other devices, like my wonderful P990, but with P3110 I cannot understand some things...
1) every flash ( rom or other ) increases FLASH COUNTER right ? But I can reset it with TRIANGLE AWAY app, right ?
2) I'm on 4.0.3 now. Just bought. I would like to flash latest STABLE rom... But I cannot understand where it's necessary to change the boot loader ( I think, with this device there're 2 bootloader like with other devices... OLD BOOTLOADER up to 4.0.x and NEW BOOTLOADER from 4.1.1 and newer... ). I would like to flash 4.1.2 multilanguage 'cause 4.2.x is not enough stable for daily usage, it's correct ?
3) GAPPS are the same as other devices ( like my P990 ) ?
4) ... thinking in course...
Thx u all ! :cyclops:
1. Only when you use ODIN.
2. No, there's no reason to ever flash a bootloader on this tab.
3. Yes, cm gapps are universal.

USB otg works natively on the note 5 what wasn't working was USB otg in twrp recovery but now that it's officially supported for our device it works
So if I'm not already rooted, I can flash this and use it as a rooting method as well, correct?

Yes, all current versions support OTG.
BTW, the latest TWRP 2.0 also supports mounting internal storage while in recovery so you don't even really need the OTG if connected to a PC.
