back to complete stock - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

With all the bootloader unlocking and flashing up to different RUU's, etc..
Will there be a way that someone might be able to come up with a procedure to revert back to complete stock?
Just wondering if you get going flashing roms and encounter a problem where you will need to exchange or take back your phone, a way to get it to stock form.
thanks

1.change you cid back to your original one.
2. relock your bootloader.
3. flash a ruu..

one you have unlocked your bootloader, your phone will either say unlocked or relocked. There's nothing that we can do about that. even if you changed the CID back to the AT&T one.
SuperCID means you can flash any RUU you want

So I guess the best we can do is flash the stock ruu at the time and relock it and hope for the best.

I am having at&t htc one x bootloader with :
**** tampered ****
**** unlocked ****
evita pvt shp s-on rl
hboot-1.09.0000
radio-0.19as.32.09.09_l

installed twrp 2.2.0 recovery and stock rooted rom 2.23707.2 asia generic.
Now the problem is, i am facing the mobile signal(not wifi) dropping issues and i have to revert back to at&t stock rom, i have downloaded the official at&t ruu 2.20.502.2.....exe,
but i am concerned with the doubt that will the ruu will work 100% on supercid 111111 without any problem after relocking the bootloder or do i have to revert back the stock at&t cid, and if yes then what is the procedure to revert back the stock at&t cid???????
If you ever want to unlock the bootloader again leave the cid alone. BTW you can just flash the radio from the new ota if you want. There's a thread in development section with radios

thanks for the help, appreciable. But i don't want to flash just the radio, coz i already did that, but it did not solve my problem. So the question still continues..Can i run Ruu with the current supercid 111111 or do i have to revert it back to stock???

Doesn't look like the op is on 2.20, the hboot for 2.20 is 1.14.0002.
Absolutely Right, i am not on 2.20,

Sir this is not about 2.20 or 1.85, i just want to confirm is, if running a ruu on supercid 111111 will work 100% or do i have to revert to the region's cid of the ruu am using.
I dont want that ruu should get interupt by any reason nd i brick my phone coz i dont have any warranty or insurance on it.

your question has been answered multiple times.
SuperCID will allow you to run the 2.20 RUU. The reason we're cautioning you is because once you do that, you will lose the ability to flash new radios at all and you'll have to flash a kernel in fast boot.
Also once you do this update to 2.20 you can't go backward to 1.85 even WITH SuperCID because the update includes a new HBOOT.

ok what will happen if i extract the rom.zip from the ruu and will extract and replace the hboot with earlier one and also the recovery with custom one and will rezip it and rename it as PJ83.img and will copy it to storage and run it in the current boot loader. will relock it before running the process.
Will this work and will i b able to flash the stock rom with same boot loader and custom recovery?
I AM AWARE INSTEAD OF DOING THIS I CAN JUST FLASH THE STOCK ROOTED 2.20 ROM FROM TWRP BUT I JUST WANT TO INCREASE MY TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND WORK.

won't work because RUU's include a signature check and if you alter the files in any way, that signature check will fail.

But signal dropping solution has not been resolved.
I have dropped the plan of running ruu and will install custom rom tn special edition 3.6
can u suggest me the best radio for better mobile signals? (i am from india -region asia)

[Q] No Way back - ERROR 155

cheers!
Status of my HTC:
Now it's RELOCKED
It has the original Recovery and Super CID (11111111)
BUT:
I can't flash any Stock rom! I always get the error 155! The bad thing is, I am not able to use a custom rom because, some of the Stock rom erased my flash!
but but but! the best thing is , I can't unlock the bootloader now! With the old unlock_boot.bin I will get an error and if I want to get a new Code from HTCDEV.com I also get an Error on the side, and they say, that the code is too long or not right (but I know how to copy and paste the text )
Why I want to go back to Stock?
First of all, I had an Wlan problem, which I solved but after that, i always got the Error (with Custom Roms) that the Android Keyboard (AOSP) will be closed, so I had no keyboard to work with
What can I do?
I only want to go back to my Custom Rom or the Stock ROM!!!!!

Well, I imagine with the RUU you got back to a stock ROM... At any rate, you could try reflashing the RUU, or attempt to flash a different RUU (since you have SuperCID) and then see if your still having issues with getting a new unlock_boot.bin.
I imagine your 100% sure you know how to cut and paste? LOL I have to ask (even though you said it)... I was able to unlock my bootloader after flashing a newer RUU and didnt have this issue.

Good aspect, but (now I love this word ) I tested nearly every Europe RUU and I always get the 155!
Some people said, that one of the latest RUU works with the CID :
RUU_Ville_U_HTC_Europe_1.78.401.2_Radio_0.16.31501S.17_2_10.23.31501S.10L_release_258480_signed

Come on man! I unlocked the bootloader Soooo this is not the problem for me!
I read in some threads, that you can't generate a new .bin file with htcdev when you have on working Rom on your phone haha funny, yeah and I am not able to put a normal stock rom on the phone
This is a long shot, but if you still have a custom recovery, try loading it up and flashing this: http://www.mediafire.com/?l35x37414jhwual
That package will set your mainver to the lowest possible number, which combined with SuperCID will allow flashing of any RUU.
If that doesn't work, you'll have to keep trying the htcdev to get your unlock code. It's possible that the website could be having some temporary problems. If all else fails, shoot an e-mail to HTC Support with screenshots of the errors on the website, the fastboot errors, a picture of your phone's HBOOT, your old unlock_code.bin and your identifier token.
Edit: Oops, just read that you had the original recovery :/ Yeah, try the absolute latest RUU and if that doesn't work, you'll need a new unlock code to have any progress.
what is your hboot version?

The unlock_code.bin file you get from HTC is generated using fingerprints on your phone. When you changed your CID it's like changing a fingerprint. All you have to do is go through the unlocking process again and get a NEW unlock_code.bin from HTC Dev.

Most likley you are trying to use a RUU that have a lower hboot then yours. You can only use an RUU that has the same version or a higher hboot.

Ok these roms don'tt work for me:
RUU_Ville_U_H3G_UK_1.53.771.4_Radio_0.15.31501S.19_2_10.13.31501S.06L_release_251870_signed.exe -> I tried this rom with my old CID , it was H3G__106

EDIT EDIT EDIT:
I got a new code from htcdev!
my problem was, I paste the text with the "info" . ok it was my fault, but now i have to try, to get my custom Recovery back!
One question, if I replace the SUPER CID with the HTC__001 one, can I flash the HTC Europe ones? (the 1.53 or the 1.78?)

The problem is that you trying to use RUU's with a lower Hboot then what you got it will never work without a downgrade. Its has to be the same or higher then what you got.

Going Back To Stock

I just got the new HTC One and I am wanting to sell my HTC One X. I want to get it completely back to stock. I have a couple questions.
I believe I can flash and RUU and it will put it back to stock, correct?
Will this also erase the sd card or will I need to do a factory reset on the phone to erase the sd?
I'm currently on CleanRom. I believe the phone is on 2.20 firmware also.
Thanks.

of course if you are s-on and supercid running a ruu will brick your phone so if you have supercid you need to s-off before using a ruu

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2094414
The only tips that I have are
put back stock recovery on your phone if you have changed it. (you will have to unlock bootloader to do this)
relock bootloader.
OH, and one time even though usb debugging was checked on the phone, I had to uncheck it and check it again before the ruu worked.
Will relocking bootloader automatically restore stock recovery? Cause I am trying to return to stock from S-off back to S-on and I am following this guide but in the HTC One S toolkit, the recovery section doesn't have a stock recovery to flash. I can use some help with this also, I want to see if returning phone to stock will fix signal drop issues and if not I will have to return it on insurance. My biggest problems are I do not have an RUU from my carrier so could use some advice as to which one to use? here is the link for RUU's but there isn't one for Cincinnati Bell wireless.
You need S-OFF

No, S -Off will not go away unless you enter a certain command in fastboot.
You can return to stock by relocking your bootloader & running your RUU and you will be good to go. Even if I were selling the phone I wouldn't return it to S-ON. I mean anyone with any knowledge would appreciate it, and if the others simply wouldn't know what s-on/s-off is.
But If you are dead set on it, make sure it is the last thing you do after you have ran the RUU and all seems good. (I think you would have to unlock the boot loader again and S-On, then relock it)

I have read on here that you don't have to. That when running the RUU it puts stock recovery on.
I've also read that if you are getting errors trying to run the RUU you needed to put stock recovery on before running the RUU.
I don't know. The times I have run an RUU I always flashed the stock recovery first.
