why are people so concerned about Gingerbread? I bet at least half of the people who kept asking for Gingerbread does not even know why they wanted it. I'd like to see what is the main reason people need it. I understand it's the latest version and it got some cool features but does it really affect the phone that much? I'd rather ask LG to fix some of the issues they have now rather than the Gingerbread... just my 2 cents...

I thought the wordage (yes I did) of my tweet would display the humor in was going for. Now I did mean it don't let the smooth taste fool ya. But you guys are so he'll bent on making people feel stupid you didn't even notice it.
I didn't start this thread for scrubs to come in and flame. I want Gingerbread for the same reason I buy a new phone every 2-3 months. Because it's new. I know how to root my phone, I have every ROM stored on my phone so I can play with it in my spare time, but what's wrong with wanting an official update?
And don't you think an official update would come with bug fixes?

I think LG rushed the phone out the market. It's time to get our phones working right with a update from LG

iPhone 5

I have decided that when the REAL iPhone 5 debuts, im going to iOS, its more solid than Android... sure with android there are a variety but I would rather have one phone that can upgrade at the same time others of its kind upgrade instead of trying to hassle to *root* a phone n do all that other crap and risk bricking it just to stay current, well do that or buy another phone, its ridiculous actually.... and I saw a similar post to this one and that guy was right, Google has customization yes but when it comes down to it, it pains me to say but google is crap compared to apple as far as being current and stuff u knw? So whenever the iphone 5 drops I will not deal with android anymore I just can't tolerate this mess anymore

Maybe for some... but the annoying thing for most people is the question of why the OP decided to post this. Why does the OP feel that he has to justify himself to us? We don't care about things like this and we aren't going to sit and beg you to stay with this phone. I agree that the iOS has its good points. But for full functionality of your own phone you have to jailbreak it. How is that different than rooting your android? I have had an iPhone 3Gs and 4 and neither of them have come close to offering me all that I can have and do with my Infuse. And guess what that's my opinion, it works for me and my needs. Am I putting the iPhones down? Not really, if you want to drive an off the showroom floor mid grade model that comes with a stock package that is as you buy it then go for it. Personally I prefer to know how my device works at its core as well as be able to modify that as I see fit, but again that's me. I will not buy another iOS device until they allow the freedom I have with my android. I own both Mac and Win machines and an Ubuntu and a Slackware machine so I'm not pro or anti apple I get a device that fits my needs. If you need an iPhone go for it but what's the point of spreading negativity in a forum where the iPhone is not the focus.

Fyi I have rooted flashed n done all that crap before its jus a stupid and retarded process all jus to get a phone up to date and do fancy flips, lmao no thank yu and I mean it's stupid and honestly the phone I did do all that too I dnt even touch da damn thing anymore lol it all gets/got old people so gather all of the facts

yes, definitely wouldn't be worrying about studying for infantry... we don't need a test to tell us how smart we are, that's what our busted up knees are for!

I recently cracked my screen, and have decided that I will probably be picking up the sgs3 when it comes out. I was wanting to get some input about who I could donate my Infuse to. I have enjoyed all the different roms and ports that our devs have put together here, but I don't have a huge amount of excess money to donate. This is the best that I can do.
Let me know if anyone knows a dev that would like a phone to use for development. I want to make sure that it is put to good use.

Bigfau has done a hell of a lot for the infuse and i don't think he has gotten enough credit for it like he deserves. I don't care if this pisses anyone off but he is the best dev we have had on the infuse hands down. He is extremely respectful to all of us little people and to me that shows something about who he is as a person. Give it to him, he deserves it. If you give it to anyone else, they need to turn around and send it to him.

Sorry guys! Haven't been keeping up as well as I would like. It sounds like it's pretty much unanimous that bigfau is the man. I will definitely be sending it to bigfau just as soon as I get a replacement. I suspect it will be early to mid-june. Thanks for all the input, and I will contact you about s/h bigjoe. I think you are a day late. Sounds like the Aeon crew wrangled up an Infuse for Big yesterday.

The Offical Send a Sgs4g To space.

Things that will be needed
Duct tape lots of duct tape
cooler of striophone nature (sp)
1-mini parashoot
1-2 Sgs4g's One for Gps tracking one for video recording. At least no less then 1 sgs4g Can Find a gps tracker to keep in the box.
1 helliem filled Weather balloon
Some wire.
A few Hand warmer heat packs to keep it all nice and toasty in there.
Some small weights for stability.
Most of the stuff I have access to..
The mission Once TeamAcid Reaches major milestone I plan on Finding a Sgs4g Flashing there milestone rom to it.. Install a 32 gb sd card to it and let it float to 107 Km into the upper atmosphere. At that point it will Pop do to the lack of air at that where the package will para shoot back down to earth. Using Gps location will track down package and recover said sgs4g at that time video will be made and posted...
In case of alien abduction all Team-acid names + white-hawk and Krylons name will be also loaded inside

As far as FFA clearance goes yes u actually do lol. Its easy to get for science projects lol.
Looking over the Flight path IF i start in northren cali where i live it should land somewhere near so cal lol.

Yeah if I'm getting it back no problem. If it ends up burning in the atmosphere I'll file an insurance claim lol. I use my tablet for almost everything now. Only using my phone for texts really and I can do that through Google voice. So just say when you're ready

I don't think your insurance would cover this.. You should PM him if you are serious. This is a public forum and I'm sure xda doesn't promote insurance fraud.

alrighty got it its installed on the device im going to use for gps tracking.
Found a chest to use for it already cut down the lip of the chest so it can be sealed airtight. Cut 2 holes in it and wired and threaded the harness Added the weights to stabilize the payload. Its a very simple build tbh. Payload is going to be about 5.5 pounds
Also adding a Casio Camera to this that records in HD format so i can get some other angles.
and as far as helping goes. If we can accurttly project enough where it should land if theres anyone else that lives in california that would love to come help even if its for recovering it when done that wold be great .
looking at seeing if this will work and not interfear with the recording
