My question is if there is a possibility to get my Samsung Galaxy S Plus to work as a USB host.

Dowloaded the Kernel: build 5 galaxy s JVU, based on cf-root 4.3 + stock gingerbread kernel but Odin is giving me "invalid image" error when I put the file in the PDA slot.
I am also afraid that I will need another ROM that is compatible with the USB host kernel. If that's the issue please suggest one.
As info :I've bricked my phone during Kies official update to Value Pack and this Forum and the WIKI page for my phone saved my ass. Thanks!

I own a Samsung Galaxy SLI9003 (Froyo 2.2.1), which I purchased in the United Arab Emirates. Here are the details regarding the firmware running on it:

When I connect my phone to my PC through Kies, it tells me that the firmware my device is running, does not support being updated through Kies. Can anyone help as to how to go about updating to Gingerbread and what version of the stock ROM I should be flashing, since I cannot update via Kies?

I did go through a bunch of threads, but I can't figure out what version of the Gingerbread stock ROM i should be flashing onto my phone.
Ok, after going through another set of threads. I found out the official UAE version of Gingerbread is I9003JPKPE(2.3.6).
Would I be able to flash it onto my phone directly from Froyo 2.2.1? I'm trying not to brick my phone, being a newbie and all.
Or would I have to FIRST flash I9003XXKPE first, and THEN flash I9003JPKPE onto my phone? If so, how would I go about flashing I9003JPKPE firmware after I have successfully flashed I9003XXKPE onto my device?
i am trying to upgrade my phone but i cant seem to put my phone in download mode. my current version is 2.1-update1 baseband i9000xxjpk kernel version 2.6.29. i need help updating this to lastest version aswel as putting it in download mode

Just want to know which country's update is installed on my device ?
Is it the latest one?
I tried to flash N7000UBLSG_N7000UVCLS3_CTI.zip through sd-card,
but got error that can't open, zip is bad.
Tried another N7000XXLT6_N7000XSALS8_XSA.zip but got same result.
Also tried to flash both updates through odin, but odin gets stuck at NAND write start.
What should I do, If I want to update my Device.?
my samsung s4 is i9505, its in settings>about and beneath the battery. i rooted my phone a week ago and installed cyanogenmod rom 12 and then kushan rom v7. now i want go back stock 4.4.2, but in download mode my phone model is different then before. its SPH-L720. thats a verizon model. is this possible ??
further i cant install stock firmware(by stock firmware i mean stock firmware of i9505) in pc odin and the error msg is "complete write operation failed" however i can install stock firmware in mobile odin pro but during flashing modem # 2 remains same with msg "memory protection enabled, skipping" and hence with end result my phone has no wifi, LTE and 3g connectivity. i cant flash boatloader and modem. the baseband is of verzion phone installled. current phone info;

i have tried different odin versions, different cables including original cable, different PC's with diff. OS & different ports on each PC. custom rom and recovery are still flashable and then wifi, lte and 3g works. triangle away 3.26 dosent reset the counter. kindly help me !!!

Hello Every one, i bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 yesterday and when on phone software update notify me your phone your operating system of your device has been modified and try smart switch to update i install it on my system and failed there as well so i make a research to do it on stock ROM
but i could not find my phone stock room. so how can i restore to Stock firmware on my phone, if you guyx can help me out with selecting correct firmware without bricking my phone.
