hey, the animations are great but the problem is the bootsamsungloop.qmg and bootsamsung.qmg appears small on my galaxy note. any ideas why? or does anyone have the correct size?
EDIT: nevermind i found the problem.. i'm only changing the files inside the system/media folder, didn't think you also should change the one inside data/local haha! thanks!

you are awesome sir
EDIT: nevermind, i figured it out. i tried deleting the bootanimation.zip and just copied the 2 .qmg files and the animation went pretty fast like normal. thank again for the stock animations! now will look for the S3 version of the boot animation. the shutdown's fine but the boot animation is all fuzzed up (saw a thread with the stock .qmg files of the s3).

links and animations fixed and updated.

Guys, is this boot animation exactly the same from Galaxy Nexus? For example, it will fit completely inside Galaxy Note screen?
And if I use this file, later I can change again to another file without any problems, right? For example, to the boot animation ZIP file from Jelly Bean.

Cool!! Finally the stock Samsung logo boot animation.
Is it possible to get a higher resolution??
Thanks mate!

We dont use that here we have much better ways of changing bootanimation look here:THIS HOW WE DO IT... say thanks to VIvEK if its usefull
no way for kph?
For XXKPH and XXKPM, you can also flash CF-ROOT and just apply the boot animation of your choice by renaming it to "sanim.zip" and putting it into the "/system/media" folder, replacing the one already there.

[Boot Animation] Nexus Prime Official adjusted for the Note

Didn't notice anyone's uploaded this for the Note so here it is. I just adjusted the leak boot animation from this thread to fit the fullscreen of the Note (instead of 720x1280 of the Prime). Check the thread to see a low-quality preview of how the boot animation looks like
Credits go to febycv
YOUR NOTE MUST HAVE ROOT (and CWM) TO USE THIS Get both from the CF ROOT thread or any kernel with CWM.
Instructions (modified from febycv's thread):
1. Download the required file to your sdcard
2. Use root explorer or equivalent to go to /data/local and place the bootanimation.zip there (if it doesn't work, try /system/media/).
4. Reboot
Download Here
EDIT: To get rid of / replace the Power On sound, delete/rename/replace /system/etc/1_Power_On.ogg (or something similar). The Power Off sound file is also in the same folder...
Thanks.
It works like a charm.
i dont kbow why. But i placed the file in data/local . But it didnt change anything. Hmm

You need to have a kernel with CWM to use this without flashing. You would have lost that when you flashed the (stock) KKA firmware. Get the latest CFRoot KKA kernel from Chainfire's thread
Great !!!
Just changed my bootanimation - put it into: data/local -> workes fine !
THX very much !
Hi All
I downloaded the boot animation, its folder on my mac after the download and when i transfer it on my note, it says boot animation.zip
I took this and pasted it in the local folder, nothing happened... then i pasted it in media and still nothing happens !!!
I sure that the boot animation for my note is in the media folder since i can see many things in that folder and there is nothing in the local folder...
I am on the KKA firmware with the CF-rooted kernel which i downloaded from the chain fire's thread and its perfectly installed
But till now I have not been able to make this work...
Is there step i am missing??? do i need to tale some files out of the boot animation.zip and place it in the folders or just download the .zip from this thread and then move it to the folder on my note?? (this what i have been doing till now)

[MOD][bootanim] ICS-like boot animation (requires my 20120105 kernel or better)

I put it in the title, and I'll put it here again because I KNOW someone will ask (or do worse)
THIS BOOT ANIMATION WILL ONLY WORK ON THE P6210 WITH KERNELS THAT SUPPORT BOOT ANIMATIONS. THAT CURRENTLY ONLY INCLUDES MY KERNEL FOR THE P6210 WITH A VERSION GREATER THAN OR EQUAL TO 20120105.
I wonder how many people will ignore that and install it on the 20120102 version (which, honestly, will amuse me quite a bit as it'll have an interesting result.)
Credit where credit is due: The actual boot animation was modified from the animation provided in UnNamed 1.x for the AT&T SGSII by gtg465x. All I did was rotate all the images, tweak the dimensions of the control file, and stick it into a recovery installable update.zip file.
How to install:
Download it. Put it on your device. Boot into recovery and install .zip file from sdcard (or internal sdcard if you put it on the microSD.)
This is completely unsupported... it's only meant as a sample and proof of concept for the boot anims.
This post has a link to a youtube showing the boot anim: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21101682&postcount=8
Take care

Rock On dude! can someone post a teaser video! thanks garyd!!
dont know if this also removes boot up sound,
in case anyone cant figure it out it should be /system/etc/poweron.wav, you can play the .wav first to verify, if so rather than delete it just rename to backuppoweron.wav
cheers!
by the way i found a way how to change the bootanimation on my galaxy mini :
1. delete the 'bootanimation' located in /system/bin (better to backup)
2. then copy and rename 'samsungani' to 'bootanimation'
3. then delete (backup) the bootani.qmg located in /system/media
4. copy the bootanimation.zip file to /system/media
and, i tried this on my gtab 7+ p6200.
but on step 3, in /system/media there are bootsamsung.qmg and bootsamsungloop.qmg. i don't know which file to delete/replace.
is the bootsamsungloop.qmg ?
can someone help me?
how come that Gtab7+ doesn't support the bootanimation ? if we got samsung bootanimation means it can support any bootanim i guess. or whatcha you think ?

ive tried this method with renaming both of these files, bootanimation finishes and lockscreen/homescreen come up but bootanimation is frozen stuck covering the top 60% of screen.
I've got this already up and going on my tab with the stock ICS boot animation. Did it late last night. Didn't use this boot animation, modified my own from my galaxy s2.
I'll post a video today on how it looks. Much better than stock.
Thanks Gary.

Eh I wouldn't think so. Its only placing a file in /system/media. Not touching any other files.
As long as you have the kernel flashed you should be good to go.

Is there any way that the boot animation could be silent? The noise is disruptive in public settings if I get a random reboot, so I'm told, lol

Normally there is a power on audio file in /system/media/audio/ui but I can't see one.
Power off is in there though
EDIT found it!
/etc/1power_on.ogg
Delete that and bye bye boot up sound
Same here. its system/etc/1_poweron.ogg just renamed mine with root explorer.
This mod is only a "proof of concept" to demonstrate the changing of the boot animation using the kernel I posted in another thread. The boot sound is unrelated to the boot animation from the kernel point of view. Normally, the boot animation and/or sound would be changed by firmware developers.

Because Samsung insists on using their own wacky bootanimation binary and format.
So you need to either:
1) Replace the binary (manual effort, no "fallback" if no bootanim is present)
2) Add a script to the kernel initramfs that uses "standard" bootanim support if you have one present, and Samsung's as a fallback.

against by reason on startup screen between the samsung i9003 gt and the beginning of boot screen stays black for 8 sec why?
mtz files would normally go in the same place as your saved themes for miui. then, using theme manager, select that bootanimation and it will be changed. I've done it before on v8.5, just haven't bothered changing my theme yet on v9.
