C&L - Clean and Light
Hi everybody!
It is a really fast, smooth, clean, and light rom for our HTC Desire S.
It is based on my Sensation XL port, so it is Android 4.0.3, because i feel it much more
stable and smooth than leaked one.
Issues:(only bugs, they will be fixed soon with small patches)
-It starts faster than HTC RIL(have to wait until signal goes on)
-Not correctly scheduled key lights.(it is always on when screen on)
-Browser cache slower than needed.
Features:
-Dalvik-cache improved to the limit.
-Own key-lights fix.
-Own tethering fix.
-Own Hotspot fix.
-Removed many, many stock apps.(but will be available for those who wants)
-SuperSmooth hack included.
-EXT4
-DEODEXED
-BEATS AUDIO
What works:
-EVERYTHING!(cam too, panorama mode too, hotspot, etc..etc...)
(Only i could not try bluetooth headset, because i doesn't have, but bluetooth works properly)
Patches(soon):
-UltraSmooth hack, to disable "3D" widgets.
-Removed stock apps
-Browser fix
-Ril fix
-Keylights fix
It is great for every day use, always fast, there is no "cache traffic jam" which causes laggy behaviour after some time.
IMPORTANT:
-For first start every app will be slower, but it will be dalvik-cached and in the future it should be as fast as possible.

first view, Very nice. boots up within 2minutes. much more responsive than other official leaked rom. i must say i like this more than the others. i will be changing my sig and using this as my daily driver thanks again for a great rom.

Some of patch will not be applied by me. (like ultrasmooth hack) Only which is for optimisation. I think i will upload only Patches, and after some patch i make a "Service Pack" but chooseable thing will be not included.

Thanks for your great ROM! It's very smooth and fast.
Is a browser patch still planned? A fast browser cache would make this ROM perfect.
Edit: The missed stock apps would also be nice, especially htc facebook and twitter for friendstream.

One bad thing: it's impossible to select home time in clock app. So the world time too. I've tried to input cities some different ways, but nothing changed.
Is it possible to remove ALL HTC default apps, such as news, friend stream and other? It's so easy to install just only that you need.
WishList:
- Default HTC keyboard w/o arrows. Because, default keyboard uses a little bigger buttons than keyboard from this ROM.
BTW - Perfect ROM! No problems! Thank you a lot!
And another bad thing:
I can't find how to change Shortcuts on the lock screen. May be someone knows how?

Make sure you understand this is more like Alpha rather than Beta. All the graphics are just 240/320 streteched to fit our screens, and this won't be your daily without a lot of effort, but it's a crazy awesome start

I would imagine not. The Wildfire is a low-end phone, marketed to be an introductory low-budget Android phone for those who are new to the idea of a smartphone.

Hey, no rush. Anything you guys can do is fantastic. Soon as I got to setting up Sense I got the option to switch to English anyway. This ROM is amazingly fast--can't wait 'til it's up and running. I gotta get to bed for tonight, though, so I'll keep playing with this tomorrow.

Hi, a new version by update for the Market.apk 3.3.11 (not ICS).
It appears an update to the Android Market is now being pushed out to handsets, and you can download it here. You cannot find it in the market at the moment.
Warning: this updated Market doesn't seem to work very well on Honeycomb tablets, there appears to be a number of glitches.
Edit : I've tried on my TF101 rooted (ARHD 2.1.0) and it's work
What's changed? So far, you've found:
- New settings:
=> Update over Wi-Fi only,
=> Auto-add shortcuts (automatically adds homescreen shortcuts for new apps, ala Honeycomb)
and the others changes:
- Smaller font,
- New app drawer icon,
- Microphone (voice command) button in search menu,
- Star rating chart on app pages,
- Minor UI tweaks.
How do I install it?
This is an update, so you download it, and you install it normally as an update.

I've tried on my DS (BinDroid 2.3.5) and on my DZ (2.3.3).
And it's not slower than the older versions.
turns out my internet was just slow at the time. tried it again and it is pretty quick! Although still not instant.
Unfortunately it is still having the "bug" with non-standard screen density setups.
If one will change default screen density (240 for HDPI devices) to something else (200 for ex), many applications in the market cannot be installed. Try for ex. Skype, it will say "This application is incompatible with your device" and won't let you install it (not event download it).
There are 2 ways to bypass this:
1. Change temporary to the default HDPI density (or the default density for your device), then accesss market and download application of your choice
2. Revert to an older market that doesn't have this bug (Market prior to 3.x.x). Also do not forget to delete/uninstall/freeze MarketUpdater.apk or else it'll auto-update and get a 3.x version again.
If someone will ever find a way to use latest 3.x Market without the need to switch back and forth through density settings, I'll gladly update. Till then...old market is better for me

MIUI for the Desire works with CM7 hboot so it should work Try it ...
Nice job! I used miui for a while with wp7 launcher, lockscreen etc and loved the simplicity of it, with the power of android behind it. Will definitely be giving this a try! Is the default theme blue?

Looks really good, flashed it no problem. Goes really fast but can't really use it without a2sd or another script that gives us more space for programs and of course without greek language (interface and keyboard).

Can you tell us how much space for apps you have left after installing? What hboot do you have? I would really like to try this on Cm7r2...

It's based on a leaked ICS RUU but I have stripped most of the Sense apps out and replaced them with the AOSP alternatives, including the Launcher and Rosie. I have left a few Sense app in, such as the HTC IME keyboard and Wifi-Tether, but nearly everything else is Sense-free. I'm the only one on the Villain Team with a Sensation, so I will try my very best to keep this up to date, bug free, etc.

It uses the AOSP contacts manager and Phone app. I have a kitchen in the works for you to pick and cook an update.zip with the sense apps you want.
So this means theres autolinking by the ICS Contacts app, the lockscreen is also AOSP so yeah you can answer from lockscreen.

I know it requires a kernel that supports it (which is why I haven't stayed on ICS yet).
This isn't based on a T-Mobile RUU....so it wouldn't have the kernel. To be honest, you'll be waiting a long time because leaks don't occur until the development is finalised

I couldn't figure out what in the world was up with the camera. The developer said it worked great on the Supersonic except for the FFC. The CM9.1 I used as a base has an impeccable camera as well as 1080p! That's why I picked out a couple that have used before as add-ons to stand in until I MIGHT come up with something.
Other than that....I'm loving it myself! I'm glad you are too. Wait till she settles in...it looks like it's going to be sweet on battery usage too.:good:
As far as tracking errors go anything else will probably be related to the port. In that case it's probably going to be beyond my ameturish control. LOL

Josh's MIUI v.4 is lookin' good isn't it!? I don't blame you a bit either. I stayed on it for about 3 days myself & anyone that knows me knows that's a loooong time for me on a ROM! LMAO Now I have a good nandroid though and I revisit them all as time goes by.

Is this rom really that nice about to flash and run for couple days. See what this chatter is about. Weekend always got something nice.

Interesting....I tried a Gstore 3rd party camera app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=rubberbigpepper.lgCamera ) & it did the same thing...then pulled the camera.apk from the CM10.1 that is my DD ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187130 )...it also did it too
I'm going to think about this one---I really want to like it, but the camera is a deal-breaker for me....back to CM 10.1 Official.....
I'm thinking that it's something in the kernel--3 different camera apps without preview....Hmmmmm....
As for really nice----YES!!!! I ran it for a couple of hours & could only find the camera bug....

I understand how it goes man. BUT....the cameras I put in there: Camera MX & Night Camera were working like gangbusters. At least on mine. With the DoubleShot I KNOW the camera is a huge deal but those are filling in nicely for me.
It's just WAY too powerful a ROM not to put it out there just because the camera we're used to seems to be borked at the time. If you come back to it, try those. Like I said though....I know how it goes.

If you can just get used to the new camera we're not used to seeing, you'll LOVE it. The video even has an option to turn on the LED for night shooting.
That's why I put several out there though. Variety is what makes the world go around.

I hear ya---I needed the phone for the coming week ( got to be a witness for a court case...) I'll look in towards the end of next week & see whats up....

In my case, the main camera gives me a brief peek at the "viewfinder" image then puts up a black rectangle that covers the entire image. You can clearly see the rectangle's outline a fraction of a second before it covers all the preview area.
The other camera shortcuts just FC, or give me a combo settings screen THEN FCs when camera is chosen.
The only other negative comment I have is that I miss the JB navigation bar. One of our phones has a glitchy BACK button, and Nav Bar compensates for that. (*_-)
Other than that, everything I noticed is good--I'm blown away by this ROM! It's quick, responsive, and smooth.

Yeah....in my haste I overlooked carrying some necessary libraries over with those camera apps. You should be able to just go into the market & uninstall/reinstall them and be good to go. OR just use Root Cleaner included in the ROM & then do the Market reinstall. You can also uninstall the main Camera with Root Cleaner. My bad. The Nav Bar just wasn't available in this one & I haven't yet learned how to get it in there. Sorry Jesterfell.

This is supposed to provide a basic nav bar. It probably does not allow customizing or re-sizing.
I've also seen something like it in one of the MT4GS ROM threads. Wish I could find THAT one now.
I will be trying it, but probably not for a few days. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Don't sweat the cameras. Un-installing & re-installing is not such a big deal.

Well......I HAVE!!! And IT WORKS Jesterfell.....IT WORKS! What a FIND BRO! What I'm going to do for you and anyone else that wants it is post it up in the OP with Instructions. I WISH I had found this when I looked but I just didn't. WAY TO GO!!
Edit: Oh, BTW, it DOES add it into "Settings/System" with all the editing functions there. I just didn't put it thru it's paces is all.
