I just noticed that the clock on the bottom right of the tablet will often display the wrong time. For example, it would display 3:00 AM when it is actually 3:36 AM already.
And you can tell the system knows the correct time, because when I clock on the clock itself, notification window pops up, and it shows the correct time. It is the bottom right time in the "task bar" (think Windows) that is displaying the wrong time.
Does anyone else have this problem and perhaps a solution? (Setting the time to network provided time OR manual does not solve the problem. Again, the system itself knows the right time, just not displaying it correctly.)
I also get this problem. Was Told to factory reset but I haven't. I think it's a problem with Android

Hello, I have an issue with screen - it is very dark and it is even twice as darker as it used to be, and its just unusable
I don't really know why it is so - it can't be a physical damage, because I've been using this device for 3 months and never dropped it. BTW such issue was 3-4 or for times before and was cured by rebooting - now it doesn't help and even charging phone doesn't solve this problem.
I've been using the ROM - Cognition (some of the latest) and will try to flash back to stock, maybe it will solve my problem
Have you guys had such issue?
Have you tried changing you brightness settings?
after unlocking the screen slide your finger over status bar at top or where it should be if u could see it and see if that works.
lol, I know how to change brightness of the screen) but that's was awful, very dark screen and seemed like broken. after charging to 100% now it is fine, but I afraid I will have the same issue in the future

not a USA citizen....
I even have no idea, why it happened, maybe because of that so much cold weather in Russia?
is this only happening when the battery charge is less than 10%? If so, that's by design.

today I was told that it's the screen problem and the only thing I can do is to replace it with the other screen, but unfortunetly, european Samsung Galaxy S screen is a bit different and the only place where I can replace it is the United States...

the clock on my infinity doesnt update at all. i noticed it in class today that when i turn it on itll update in the menu but when im looking at the home screen the clock wont update in the corner... ive debloated this thing from what i know i dont need but for some reason would there be something i deleted that caused the clock to stop working properly? anyone have any ideas about this?
thanks
This was happening with me only way to fix it was restarting the tablet. I haven't had this issue for a long time now so I can't help you much more

Rotating the tablet seems to work for me!

I have the same issue sometimes when I connect my keyboard dock. A reboot fixes this problem indeed. Still a weird bug, but nothing too major I guess.
thanks for the help. ive reset and it seems to fix it, but if i have it happen again, ill try to rotate it next time to see if thats a short cut and not have to reboot.
Try clocksync from the Play Store.
Hey there,
Just curious if anyone else sees this problem? And if there's a known reason or fix? Pretty much like the topic name says.... sometimes tapping the clock just does nothing, no matter how deliberately I tap or hold it. I know it isn't hardware because when I rotate into the other other orientation, that portion of the screen that was just the clock now responds fine to touch. A reboot will fix. Thoughts?
EDIT: Should have mentioned - bone stock, unrooted, locked etc. Havent gotten up to any tinkering with this thing, too many bad hardware reports to invalidate warranty lol. Though my hardware seems good so far...
Thanks...

I prefer the ASUS quick setting to stock Android notification, but I don't think I have any problem with them. Have you try cold booting your tablet? Shut down and press power+volume down?
I know you said it's not hardware, yet that sounds like a digitizer problem.
I get this from time to time - I even got it once last night, after flashing CleanRom 2.3... which was a little disappointing.
I've found that if I get a notification of some kind - say, an email being received - it clears this bug and I can then tap on the clock to bring up the quick settings menu and it will work fine from then on. It's only after a reboot that the bug reappears, but then not every time.

Yes. I get the issue since I believe JB update. One work around that worked for me is open setting from setting icon, which I have on one of home menu. Some how after that it works again. So I agree it is definitely not related to hardware.
Hi,
Yes, this happens randomly with my tablet too. Likewise, only since JB.
As noted above a notification does seem to make the issue go away. I have tried all sorts to find the cause but always come up blank. Rebooting also removes the problem.

I had this issue with JB. It was annoying as hell. Went back to ICS because of this and the "black flickering lines" problem. I already posted about this, but maybe it was on TF and not here... It's a bug in JB...
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using Tapatalk HD
I suffer from this as well.
Yeah, notifications seem to fix it. Glad I'm not the only one... I guess. Really is annoying as hell to not have quick access to brightness settings and stuff. Funny, I didn't know the cold boot required the volume button trick, I thought just a normal shut down / restart did that. Thanks for the tip, I'll do it regularly lol.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Sorry all, but I don't have this issue on my rooted, locked .18 JB. It works very well indeed.
I also have this problem. The only way I can fixitisjust a shutdownand restart. Can be annoying.
Same here... Started after the JB update... One quick fix for me is to plug in my ear-buds and the QSP pops up.. If you don't want to carry around your ear-buds, if you have a pair that you don't use anymore or a damaged pair, you can cut the tip off and carry it around in your case/cover..
Hey y'all,
I have an Optimus f3 and I am having some issues with the notification bar flickering as if it was being pulled down rapidly. I have searched countless places (mainly Google) and I have come up with nothing on anything even remotely close to my problem.
Thanks in advance if you can help

I'm having a problem that isn't quite similar, but may prove relevant. Also on a f3.
My notification bar completely disappeared, and and has reappeared for around four to six hours at a time once now, for no apparent reason. Some other things. 1. Wallpaper switches between my selected and stock/default.
2. com.android.systemui stopped a few times.
3. Can't access recent apps via long press of home hardware button.
4. Sporadic notification, sometimes they work, others not. However, system ones like low battery never do.
5. Is factory resistant.
I hope maybe these issues could help with yours.

Dude, Need Not Worry That's Normal. Just Factory Rest Your Device and It Will All Work Fine.
Wish it was that easy. I did a factory reset and it still does it. I did a hard reset too lol

Is your phone still doing its flickering bar thing?
As of right this minute, no. But the phone has been sitting for a while. Im about to unroot and give it a few days of use and then see if it still has the problem

If you're still having this problem, you could try following the unbrick guide (flashing LG's ROM in emergency mode). You may want to install recovery and wipe what you can first to fully clear out as much as possible, as the unbrick method doesn't actually wipe your user data (which may be part of the problem).
