I received it yesterday.

I asked HTC about it on their Chat thingy on their website someone told me "I am please to say that The Update is going live in Europe, but unfortunatly Orange UK id the only carrier getting the update at the moment." At least we know it's on the way! I guess.
I then said but Unbranded, T - Mobile, Vodaphone and others are getting it, the he repeated himself!
Only got it today on orange!

I think it's something to do with me having 1.28 software number and not 1.47, anyone with 1.28 been able to update?
I'm in the same boat, totally stock and unmolested unbranded 1.28 and no update :-(

Contacted HTC and they said it will take time but everyone will get it

While I was on 1.28 I couldnt even get updates to 1.47 never mind this one. I asked HTC to reflash my ROM to 1.47 a few days ago. This Android 2.3.5/Sense 3 update arrived last night and I have been playing about with it all day
Unbranded? Also will I lose my data if they do this?

Yes unbranded. Your data will Most definitely be lost! Thats why you should back up any contacts to SD Card/Google Contacts. Calender to Google Calender. Tasks are more complicated Wireless and other settings can also be backed up.
I have an UK DS, completely original and standard (2.3.3 and 1.28.401.1). Using it on Dutch KPN network and also no update.
I have it
I recieved it on Tuesday unbranded stock 1.47 good update.
As stated in another thread, I received my DS 2 days ago, and it came branded O2 with latest Android and Sense 3.0.

Since I upgraded my firmware on my sensation ive had a lot of issues with my phone.
I was wondering if I could go back to the Gingerbread firmware for android.
If so can anyone give me a link.
yes check link in my signature for thread firmwares and you will find the 3.12. you can flash that and then go back to gingerbread. then flash this if you want fastboot commands--->hboot1.17
I think im on firmware 3.12. Im not sure
if your running latest ics then you on 3.24

Pretty comprehensive.

Im on Orange and still no sign of official update.
Nope, I'm on debranded stock ROM

This is just getting a tad ridiculous. Networks are releasing there ICS bloatware updates before the unbranded phones get it. I guess HTC said they'll release it at the end of March so they have 2 days left, the clocks ticking HTC

Nope, totally stock Sensation, but tbh i can wait as my phone works fine on 2.3.4 Gingerbread,
Vodafone UK getting it right now
yes, Vodafone UK members with the HTC Sensation are getting the update as we speak. Just started rolling out about 30min ago.
Sucks taking ages for HTC to get on with it. I assume stock ppl are on cid HTC__001 and the Vodafone update is via their own cid? How else does the update differentiate between phones?
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Tapatalk
Yep, Vodafone users are getting the Vodafone build number (x.xx.161.x)
Hello,
Do people with SuperCID and stock unbranded Europe ROM get the ICS updates yet?

Hi Eddie I assume I should get the stock ota when its available using the ROM 1.50.401.1 and cid HTC__001. I am guessing no one had seen what the new firmware version for that will be yet?
Sent using tapatalk. HTC Sensation. debranded from three to f/w 1.50.401.1 stock build.
I'm guessing we should get ours in the next couple of days going by the nember of new threads starting where countries are getting the ICS update, Italy, Spain, Belgium.
Just checked again and nothing for UK unbranded
Can't believe everywhere in eu had got the ota except in UK unless you have a vodofone ROM. How annoying.

I know, gone are the days of apparant benefits of buying unbranded as opposed to directly from a network.....
Vodafone UK had the handset before it's SIM-free release and have had every OTA before the unbranded handsets too so the trend has continued it would seem
I just flashed the OTA file manually, a lot easier
even Greece & Switzerland has the update now, you know its a bad situation when a near-bankrupt country can have the update before the UK

Same for three they had it out early, but they are really sloow at releasing firmware because they like to customise such as disabling 2g overide but have small resources to do the customization.

Does look like we will be one of the last to get it sadly.
Might be the first to get a spelling-mistake-free one though!!
Ha true I am happy to wait aslong as they sort of most of the problems faced with the earlier releases. If not we can always play about in the Develop options!

I understand you refer to Greece with the near-bankrupt country and your surprise that they have it earlier than the UK, but Switzerland is actually rather advanced and quick in getting updates and devices.
Hello when looking at the minimum requirements for the OTA I saw that my software version on my phone is older then the needed to get the upgrade. So far no OTA notification and manual check fails every time. Any help on what I should do?
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using XDA
Root it and enjoy. There's an HTC One X thread about routing without unlocking the boatloader, but it doesn't work on the latest ota update.

I don't know what software version you have, doesn't match any of these. I would take it to a TMO store and say WTF?
It's just super weird. I never altered the software or anything. It just came like this which messes with my ability to update.

I had the exact same software number too but was able to update to 1.84

I just received a replacement phone with this software and haven't been able to update either I will take back to T-Mobile and ask wth

The replacement phones, and very few initially shipped phones come with 0.15 baseband.
Those devices won't update to the new OTA. You have to first find the TMOUSS RUU for 0.16 in the development section and run it. Then when your baseband is updated to 0.16 you will be able to update to the new OTA.
edit - at least this is what happened with me. maybe it works on someone else's.

What software number does your phone say it is on? If it has the R2 in it I don't think you'll be able to get the update. It's different than stock. Stock doesn't have the R2 in it.

Root and s-off your device and update via custom Rom, I think it's not possible to update Verizon m8 when u are not on Verizon service. That's what I feel, but maybe someone else can confirm.
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using XDA Free mobile app
There's some zips around here that can be flashed that have the latest firmware and such that you can flash once you are s-off. I'm sure when Verizon releases a new firmware a custom zip will be released here as well. I don't believe that flashing a custom ROM will automatically get you to the new firmware. It may be based on the newest, but it won't change any of your software, that will have to be updated by yourself.
