[Q] Process for Unlocking Blaze - Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G

I got some unlock code, but I can not seem to be able to enter them into the phone?!?
1) I have rebooted the phone many times with another SIM and without the SIM; the phone never asks me to enter a pass code.
2) I have tried the following sequences:
a) #0111*11111111#
b) #7465625*638*11111111#
c) *#7465625*638*11111111#
e) *#7465625*638*22222222#
f) *#7465625*638*33333333#
g) *#7465625*638*44444444#
I used freeunlocks.com and they gave me codes in this format:
NETWORK=11111111 PROVIDER=22222222 SUBPROVIDER=33333333 DEFREEZE=44444444
None of them work? any suggestions? Am, not entering them correctly?
Thanks

I found out how to: "Enter network lock control key"
By entering: #7465625*638*# you will get the "Enter network lock control key" Input field.
Then I entered the code from freeunlocks.com; and it tells me "unlock successful".
Does anyone know of a way to verify that the phone is unlocked with actually using a new SIM?
Thanks

It does work, I'm currently using it in South America. Only problem I'm having right now is usb tethering and mobile hotspot.... I think it may be due to T-Mobile firmware.

[Q] Droid 2 Global

N00B here! but tried to gather as much info as I could..
Got a VZW droid 2 global from ebay that the seller profiled as "unlocked"
I'm in Central America and trying to register it with a GSM 850/1900 carrier but it won't connect to the network at all.
It had a 14 IMEI code... found it's translation to 15 to 17 IMEI and bought a the unlock code on a site. I got the unlock code but the phone has nowhere to enter it.
Found a post stating that it should ask for the code after inserting a foreign sim card or waiting 30 minutes if nothing happens. tried that and there's no prompt.
I have accessed the testing menu with *#*#4636#*#* and select the GSM only and WCDMA preferred (I got an HTC Inspire 4G working with that one here) and it is recognizing the GSM 850/1900 local carriers but unable to get any network access from them.
Found that VZW locks the carrier's network ids but the phone is recognizing them.
Again: ir recognizes the networks but is not asking for an unlock code... all the posts states to enter the code but they don't say how (the phone must prompt it automatically)
Please let me know if there is any way to manually pull up the field to enter the unlock code or if I can try anything else to unlock it
Thanks!
First, the phone's IMEI is written on the label under the battery.
Second, if you switch it to GSM mode it will output the IMEI in *#06# and in Settings, About phone, Status.
The 14 digit code you mentioned is probably MEID in hex form.
Switching to GSM is done by going to Settings, Wireless & networks, Mobile networks, Network Mode.
Using the service menu you mentioned is wrong and can lead to the phone being unable to connect to GSM at all, in which case you must reflash the SBF.
Actually I got the unlock code but there is nowhere to enter it.
Also it allowed to me to at least view the available networks after changing it to GSM/WCDMA and seems to be trying to connect to one but there's no signal at all.
If I do a network search now it will show me the available networks 5 or 6 (2G&3G), selected one and it just shows that it is not able to connect to that network
BTW, found that the radio was off as well and had to switch it on using the testing menu because by going to Settings, Wireless & networks, Mobile networks didn't allow me to access it at all, it was just grayed out and there was no way I could turn on the radio using that option..... sorry... I think I got everything I need except where to enter the unlock code
It looks like you have successfully (like other people before you) fried the GSM radio settings. Congratulations.
You need to flash the SBF to reset the phone's radio module to its original state.
If you actually bought a phone that was already unlocked it won't ask for an unlock code.
A locked phone asks for the code the moment you power it on and let it boot with a non-Verizon SIM card.
The code you supposedly bought is not for your phone at all, because you requested it for an IMEI you made yourself from something that was never an IMEI.
For me, The unlock screen appear only on original rom with non-verizon sim.
not appear on custom rom.

Phone wont SIM unlock

I've used the method described in the Sim Unlock thread to generate my code, but I can't get the unlock code request (dialogue box) to come up on the phone. I've turned it off and inserted a different SIM (it was originally O2, now it's GiffGaff, although I believe they use the O2 network) but I don't get the prompt to enter my unlock code. I can scan for networks and register on the O2 network, but I get No Service errors.
Tried a variety of ROMS. I got asked for the code on a Cyanogen one but it always refused it and asked for it at every boot. I've also SuperCID'd to 11111111.
Any clues?
Just reset phone to 1.78 stock and on first boot spotted a message "Restricted Access Changed". Does this mean anything?
So it would appear that putting a GiffGaff sim into an O2 locked phone won't trigger the unlock request. But putting a T-Mobile one in does. It's accepted the code, but I'm still getting 0 bars of reception.
Does anyone has any ideas?

[Q] HTC Sensation won't let me enter my network unlock code

Hi there
I have the network unlock pin for my Sensation but when I put in a different sim from another network the phone just says no sim card inserted and asks for a PIN number.
The phone is locked on 3. I tried with O2, Giffgaff and Vodafone simcards and I get the same thing. The simcards work fine with my older phone and neither of them is locked with a pin number. I tried the default PIN for the respective network and I got a message saying Incorrect Pin. When I enter the unlock code (even though not prompted for that) I get the same message.
Has anyone else had that? Any advice?
Thanks in advance

[Q] T-Mobile SIM Unlock - Can't manually enter SIM Unlock Code - "Use Unlock app"

[Q] T-Mobile SIM Unlock - Can't manually enter SIM Unlock Code - "Use Unlock app"
Turns out I still don't have coverage at home with T-Mobile's network. I purchased my Z3 D6616 outright (full price). However, when I insert a SIM from another carrier, I get this message* instead of the usual prompt to enter a SIM unlock PIN. I guess they only want you to use their new unlock tool, as a way to prevent 3rd party unlocks.
Am I really stuck using T-Mobile for 2 months because this phone cannot be unlocked manually with a PIN, like most phones? Is there any workaround to bring up the menu to enter the unlock code?
*This device can be remotely unlocked if eligible. Please use the Device Unlock application to unlock the device. . ."
I have the same issue. Unfortunately I was not able to find a solution yet.
I've read somewhere that the Simlockunlockapp.apk is missing from the firmware (this is the default app used by Android to display the network unlocking popup).

Yeah, I'm betting they removed the ability to do so in favor of their new "Device Unlock" app, that way people cannot unlock via a 3rd party. I'm bummed because I already paid for an unlock code, but have no way of entering it! :crying:
I believe legally they have to unlock. Try calling customer support.

I hope you are not a "current" T-Mobile user, because if you are they do it after 45 days of activation for free.
Do you find a solution? maybe if we root the phone and install another rom we can have the ability to input the network code, another thing I did was refill my t-mobile account to a total of $100 USD to make me eligible to use the "unlock app"

Galaxy S8+ not prompting for unlock code

I have one galaxy s8 which was claimed to be unlocked b4 buying it,put in my sim and it's writing "invalid sim card, sim card not supported"if i go to settings and search for available networks,it will bring different networks but wont allow me to register on it.if i try to call...it will say "not registered on network"
I made an enquiry and they said if it is locked,it should prompt for an unlock code immediately i put my sim inside.even if i wana unlock again,d phone is not asking for any unlock code neither is it asking for unfreeze code.i also tried secret codes with it and it is not working #7465625*638#.it is a branded at&t phone
You may need to configure the APN for the new carrier manually. Go to settings, connections, mobile network, then APN (Access Point Names), select add and type in new APN settings.
However if that doesn't work, It may be hard locked. Meaning that an invalid sim unlock code was entered too many times. In my past experiences if it doesn't prompt you for the code when you enter a new sim card it is either hard locked or already unlocked and needs the APN settings configured. However after inserting a new sim card the phone would normally configure the APN automatically and only on occasion would I need to modify it to get data/text working properly.

invalid sim card, sim card not supported means it is locked device, i would like to help you to unlock it if you're interested
I'm facing this same issue. When I got the phone I installed an unbranded firmware (XAA/XAA/ATT) and I've since upgrade to Oreo. I can't seem to restore an ATT firmware so I can be prompted to enter the unlock code. Any suggestions?
make sure you using non at&t sim and it must be an active sim card. submit an unlock request to at&t on their website or use an unlock service like attunlocker.us to get your code.

The issue is there's no prompt to enter the unlock code.
is the SIM card active that you are using? what SIM is it?

Yes, it's a T-mobile SIM.
Sorry to necro, but does no one have a solution for this? I've seen plenty of threads such as this but very few solutions.
Necro double-post, I'm really asking for it...
First, you have to get an unlock code from the carrier. I had AT&T and it told me my phone was active under an account (previous owner). When you call AT&T and ask for an ulock they loop you to the website and you can't progress there, so you just have to ask for "customer service" twice and then get to the second level support. They can get you an 8 digit code for unlock. But I still never got prompted for the code and neither AT&T (5 calls), Cricket (3 calls), or xFinity (3 calls) could tell me how to get to the unlock screen. The following did it.
My solution was to use the following method, as found on https://www.tenorshare.com/samsung/samsung-unlock-code.html:
Step 1: Open the phone and type #7465625*638*# in the dialer.
Step 2: Then, it will ask for the Samsung Reset Code, it is an 8-digit code.
Step 3: Provide it and you will be done.
