I'm buying a One S and it only has a micro sim. How in the world do I transfer my contacts from my sd card or regular sim card? I know I can cut my sim card but I rather not do that...
There's an app for that...
Backup your contacts to your google email account...once you sync the one s to the google account your contacts will sync to the one s...no sim card or micro ad card needed.

call your phone service provider do the transfer for you. simple and easy
you can also use the sync which is offered in one of the steps you get when you start your phone first time. just choose your old phone model from a list, turn bluetooth on and let it sync what you want.

What is the easiesit way to get all of my contacts onto the SIM?
Sometimes, I leave my XDA II behind and use my SPV. I'd like to just swap SIMs and take the contacts with me.
Is there a quick way to do this?
Can the contacts be permantly on the SIM and still sync with ActiveSync?
Thanks in anticipation.
i believe that the sim manager does that
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=10381&highlight=sim
here if your rom dont have it
otherwise i suppose you could enter contacts and open the keyboard and press ctrl a and choose all contacts and tab and choose save to sim
Thanks Rudegar. That worked.
Interestingly, with Radio Off it doesn't allow copying of the contacts the the SIM.
I've no idea why. Just seems a bit odd.
well if i go flight mode on and off
i have to retype my pincode so that could make one asume
that when it's off the whole sim is off
I have transferred all my contacts from my mobile phone SIM to my XDA
using the SIM manager. I have now updated my contacts on my XDA
adding addresses and other details.
If I want to transfer these updated contacts back to a SIM, what
details will go across to the SIM? Is it just name and telephone
number?
Thanks.
i think that what your cellphone can display as contact info is what the sim can hold infomationwise
sim contacts
Only the basic names and mumbers will be saved on sim.
If you want tho save the full addresses etc then you need to save your contacts file in full to your memory card, or to your PC. You can also save using backup.
You can also save them in outlook.
Its a real pain but the PDA looses everything but the basics if the battery goes down.
Hi,
I have tried Contact2Sim and Copy to SIM Card application to copy but it does not work on my HTC Hero ever since I upgraded to 2.0 (custom rom).
I also tried to export to contact to vcf and my import option does not show SIM even though I have enabled to show SIM.
I can manually add 1 contact to SIM entry. Hence, I don't think my SIM card has any problem.
Please advise if this is a known issue or is there any workaround?
Thanks

I have a message on my phone that says that my SIM card is full and I need to clear out messages. Downloaded a SIM card contacts app to view what I have on it and it indicated my SIM card is empty. I also deleted all of my text messages, rebooted the device, cleaned off the card (physically), etc following instructions from multiple threads there. No dice.
Any idea what this thing's problem is?

I don't have any. Do I just go to the store of my carrier and request they set me up with a new one?

Your sim card if full because you've been saving your contacts to your sim card and you shouldn't have done that you should be saving your contacts in you Gmail account you need to delete the contacts from sim and uncheck back up contacts to sim and check gmail account so you will always have your contacts even if you get another Android device

Hello,
I have two Android phones and want to swap a sim card in and out as I wish. I know people do this, but is there any way to sync text messages on both phones, so you don't have a conversation on one phone that doesn't show up when you put the sim card into the other phone. Thanks!
